  • The New Art of Memory would not be complete without covering the Moon Memory Palace Technique, developed by the ingenious Alexander Dicsone.
    Alexander Dicsone was a renowned memory expert and scholar during the Renaissance. He devoted himself to writing two books about memory techniques. These are gathered in English translation with the original Latin in The Hermetic Art of Memory.
    As Discone covers the standard mnemonic strategies, he also unraveled many of the mysteries of human consciousness. His groundbreaking technique involves using the Mansions of the Moon as a kind of Memory Palace.
    In doing this, Discone was inspired by the method of loci, but also aspects of astrology.
    Dicsone was also a student of Giordano Bruno, the brilliant philosopher, astronomer and master of memory. Many of Bruno's innovative ideas laid the foundation for the Moon Memory Palace Technique, influencing Dicsone's work and propelling it to new heights.
    In this video, I'll guide you through the step-by-step process of creating your own Moon Memory Palace.
    Even better, I'll show you ways to maximize the space on the moon and even use "infinite" moons. Together, we'll explore the lunar corridors, each room and "mansion" serving as a repository for your precious memories.
    But the journey doesn't stop there! I'll also share valuable insights on optimizing your Moon Memory Palace, enabling you to unlock the full potential of your mind. With practice, you'll find yourself effortlessly memorizing facts, speeches, languages, and so much more.

      @@AnthonyMetivierMMM Well. Its going well! I am eager to hear more. I wonder how to keep stations "magnetic" when they are so similar. Even in my home palace, I can at times conflate one closet with another. How much more would I confuse one moon position with another or one statue with the next. You spoke briefly about colors, but I'm sure there's more to it...

    • @AnthonyMetivierMMM
      @AnthonyMetivierMMM  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Glad things are going well.
      Yes, there's more to it, namely practice. Without experimentation and exploration, it seems harder than it is.
      Just dive in and see how it works from experience. If you already have success with conflation, you'll probably get the knack for it quickly.
      And the stations are never the same when they're interwoven with the target information. That's part of what helps, and all the more so when the full Magnetic Memory Method is in play, particularly this one:

    that's very smart idea!!! it's amazing to use very simple idea about very usual thing like moon to create something great like infinite memory palace.
    and to be honest infinite memory palaces are my favorite because finite memory palaces make me worry about scarcity of stages and reusing the same mind palace over and over again and end up with ugly sister effect. and this can't happen with a mind palace that can't be over populated

    Thank you so much for that Andrew. With the moon, the moment and immanence in mind I once observed through my telescope that lunar body occult a star. It was a reality unreal in its immediacy. I couldn’t believe it, it was out of this world. A physical grounding in a reality of mind and consciousness. Was this more than just the now experience? Can one explain the receipt from outside oneself the reception of a communication of reality. Your words, ideas and communications too I find profound, out of this world. Do you find that so Andrew? To live in the moment can reality ever come knocking? Is there only the knocking?

    • @AnthonyMetivierMMM
      @AnthonyMetivierMMM  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t know who Andrew is, but if I answer on his behalf I would suggest that ultimately what happens is beyond name and form. Yet, we have name and form to help us imagine and talk about pure immanence. There’s more to this covered in The Chaos Memory Palace of Giordano Bruno. 🙏

    Very interesting Video here Anthony. I’m thinking about using all the planets as such an informative way to memorize things. For example planet Mars the closest to the sun gets some kind of system let’s say AA-ZZ. I have yet to try this out. I’m just brain storming for a second. Earth will probably get A-Z I think that’s a definite. But great video never the less. I’ll look into your “other videos” your pal Bill.

    Does copying memory palaces really work? I'd think that if I just copied a memory palace, and declared "the room is blue in this one, but green in that one," I don't think it'd be very sticky. I strongly suspect I'd be asking myself, "was the farm in the refrigerator from the green room version of Susie's kitchen, or was the farm in the refrigerator in the blue room version of Susie's kitchen?" Or if there was a phase of the moon in the imagination of Aristotle, vs. the phase of the moon in the imagination of Anthony Metivier, -- I don't think the memory would really "stick" on the idea that it's one or the other.

    • @AnthonyMetivierMMM
      @AnthonyMetivierMMM  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Note that it's not copying without adding a feature. It does work, but the question is how well it works at volume. And that is for the individual memorizer to explore, keeping Radical Honesty relative to your experience with using the technique at the fore.

    Just dont put anything on the dark side of the moon, as it will be lost for eternity. Of course memory is concerned with past, and consciousness only relates to the present, so eventually memory palaces are are just another expansion of the potential of conciousness
