The more I hear Niemann rant, the more I will root for his opponents. For a brief period, I felt like he was falsely accused, and was displaying some great chess skills. Falsely accused or not, he should stop making claims about his talent and future that remain unproven. For someone who says just let the chess speak for itself, he seems to have an oversized ego and mouth to boot.

Magnus is proving that he can win with just about ANY opening move. So, the concept of "disrespect" based on an opponent's opening move is losing its sting. ANY opening can be dangerous when played well. GM's need to get over this "disrespect" nonsense and play the board, not the man.
Nah, Magnus playing anything in the opening is him being disrespectful to his Opponents. He's saying they're not good enough to beat him even if he uses bad openings. It's a powerful statement. And it's a another point to his case that he is just a tier above the rest of his competition at the moment.

Why would you ever say “…best ONLINE player…” that is really really revealing it would be like a soccer player saying i want to be the best indoor soccer player in the world
Why is Hans so angry? I mean, you use that anger to get better at something, but not when it's directed towards your opponents and the world. That is probably not healthy or productive.
I never studied openings so I would sometimes play a3 so I wouldn't get caught by a known trap i didn't know with my basic understanding of normal openings.
When we are angry or under the influence of other strong emotions we have less access to our logical brain. Maybe that was a reason for this opening. I liked the game.
At 10:17 after the "good move" Qb1 the White bar goes way down. So what was better? Hard to see, maybe Bd5 to block the Rook's path? Also at 9:39 after Qd6 the bar goes up, does White have Qf5 there? Unsure how accurate the computer's evaluation bar really is, especially in the opening.

I've had fairly good luck in blitz online playing "junk" openings versus players who usually beat me in standard openings. Makes you wonder. I tend to think that a lot of "junk" openings can readily transpose into playable positions.

I can say two things about Hans Niemann with a degree of certainty. 1) He plans to beat the best players in the world without cheating. 2) He cheats online a lot. ...So what's going on there? Well, his interest is proving to himself he can win at the top level. He's very impatient to get there and see, and cheating is rife anyway so he figures it's just a shortcut to his goal. The insane level of prep required to win that Magnus game face-to-face, is totally within this personality profile, although getting hold of Carlson's prep notes is too lol
Hi. Fianchetto is an old word I assume. It is the diminutive of "Fianco" that is "Side/wing". i.e: Fianco destro or Ala destra -> right wing. Basically it means: "slide it aside"

Hans nieman is emotionally unstable & most probably has tendencies to do even cheating to win against his opponent which he already did. Unless he become calm, matured, then I will believe he will strive to win with DIGNITY. Not winning by using beat in his

I got a good laugh out of that one.

Haha yeah having a bit of fun with it 😆 glad you enjoyed cheers for watching
Narcissism is a helluva drug
I wonder why he specifies "online"... why not "the best player in the world"?
Seems sus right 😆
He knows how to pace himself.
Based on how long his beads and batteries will last
95% of his chess is online, same as Hikaru and Danya, so they're really invested in it.
Because he doesn't need the beads when he plays online.
"You will see my growth!"... *Hans unzips*
I would pay good money to see a clip of Hans right after he lost that game. I'm sure it was entertaining 😅
Or after he won the Tournament of Peace 2023 by a three point margin.
Easy victory with no anti cheat
