No fucking waaaaaaay! I used to listen to the Crush 40 albums when I was a kid on full repeat. Even had two CDs and all. Grew out of it a bit, but this sounds fresh as fuck, especially the female vocals!

I’ve been listening to the gentle cover of adrisaurus and Alpharad recently that it’s really refreshing to get a version that’s true to the source and remind me what Live and Learn is all about. 2022 is a great year for this song, you both killed it!

This was an excellent cover, and Lollia's voice was a great fit for the song. Heck, I would listen to you cover the whole soundtrack, though I must admit that I would look forward most to E.G.G.M.A.N. and Supporting Me.
That first one is something that I'm hoping that plays when Jim Carrey does the dance in a Sonic Movie.

Lollia's voice is really not a good fit for this song. The original singer brought an energy to the song that she just doesn't, if anything, she saps energy with her vocal style. I suppose you can say its made up for by how much harder Richaad drives the song with his guitar, but tone wise, she's completely off beat for this song.

@@Timi7272 tbf, i dont think many people can match crush40's energy, but this just sounds way less intense, especially in the vocals. never really feels like they're pushing their voice, no gutturals, no soft yells/screams, and so it ends up feeling like a flat performance when compared to crush40. not saying she's bad, by any means; great pitch, sustain, and vibrato. just not a great fit for this style of music. becomes especially noticeable if you listen to one and then the other side by side.
@@DjErrour Yeah, Lollia's vocal style is not a great fit for this song at all. It's not that she's a bad vocalist, because she isn't. Its that her vocal style is almost sapping energy from the song, a song which is all about causing your adrenaline to rush. "Live and Learn" is honestly what makes "Final Hazard" a good boss fight, not because the fight itself is good, because it isn't. Its honestly kinda lame compared to the Biolizard battle that leads into it. But the song sets a fast pace, high energy and bleeds to the stakes of said final battle. The song is all about pulse pounding energy and making your blood rush.
Lollia's vocals are effectively too smooth for this song. I'd say she's almost a one-note vocalist, and she sounded much better during the times she DID try to push her vocals. But it's so jarring hearing her sing the chorus and the verses in almost the exact same tone of voice, particularly since the OG vocalist is all over the place in the original. (Edited to remove, Tony Harnell is not the original vocalist). She could probably do any other song from the sound track and it'd sound great, except maybe Escape from the City, where she'd run into the same issue she has here.
I think Richaad was trying to cover up for it a bit with his guitar, maybe trying to create a duality of sorts where his guitar is going crazy under Lollia's smooth, rhythmic vocals, but she manages to overpower him, which is honestly quite amazing when you consider how ungodly talented a guitarist Richaad is.
Missing the harmonies on all the "live and learn"s!!
Completely agree here. Like it was fun, but it does feel very flat on those choruses.

absolute 10/10 cover, and excellent voicing from lollia! However, I still think that it lacks the "power" that the original song had. Should obviously mention the fantastic guitar playing from rich, but smth tells me... that that is a given
