My daughter used to be a night owl and she has now trained herself to become a morning lark. How wonderful that you have begun riding again. Writing gives us a window into our souls that perhaps we haven’t been able to see. Writing can be both clarifying and cathartic. Just recently I watched a video explaining that most highly-intelligent people are night owls, and that most of the famous inventors and creators of the past were night owls. Something to do with night time seeming to be the most creative time for highly intelligent people. So please do some research on this topic before making major changes to what might have been your most natural state in the past. Perhaps you just fell into the rhythm that came most naturally to you without any purposeful intervention. The important thing is to flow with our own unique rhythms which usually require little intervention and effort on our part. Wishing you well on your journey. 🙏

Ah yes, when I was young, strong and happy I never dreamed I'd be old one day...the sun rises and sets day after day...yet we remain! I'm truly a dreamer....day dreams by day....then come the night dreams! I think my day dreams keep me alive for sure they keep me happy as in the winter I dream of beautiful flower gardens and in summer I dream of over-the-top Christmas decorations...always something to look forward to. It was women like you on Romper Room, who I think unconsciously at a young child watching RR, were my role models for a fulfilling career in working in & eventually lecturing in Early Childhood creative & expressive studies. Today I’m unwell, at 63 hve achieved so much despite serious health challenges. While I wait for decisions re protocol right now, finding you has been such a blessing. I play piano & hve danced ballet all my life, but it’s felt overwhelming these last years wth the health issues at times. Keeping an eye on a sense of wonder & making plans for projects, helps me ride out these tough patches. I love how you respond to each commenter with such attunement & kindness. Actually you helped create a new generation of young people and their ability to express themselves . I understand about illnesses that can change the course of our lives, but we can always find a ray of sunshine out of what seems to be a negative element in our lives. I’ve always wanted to play the piano. I took lessons when I was a teen but I really never became proficient. I will be thinking of you and hope you will take it day at a time so that your circumstances don’t seem so overwhelming. Sometimes baby steps of the best thing we can do for ourselves.❤️

Everything overlooking the ocean, but like you, it got to be too much maintenance for me and downsizing what is the best answer. I managed to make my porch an oasis this summer and it's really the best thing I ever did for my mental health during covid... BTW the dream journal is beautiful!

This is such a beautiful comfort & creative joy Sandra. It was women like you on Romper Room, who I think unconsciously at a young child watching RR, were my role models for a fulfilling career in working in & eventually lecturing in Early Childhood creative & expressive studies. Today I’m unwell, at 63 hve achieved so much despite serious health challenges. While I wait for decisions re protocol right now, finding you has been such a blessing. I play piano & hve danced ballet all my life, but it’s felt overwhelming these last years wth the health issues at times.
Keeping an eye on a sense of wonder & making plans for projects, helps me ride out these tough patches. I love how you respond to each commenter with such attunement & kindness. I love this poem & the music you selected to accompany. I love your reading of it with such tenderness & care.

I am so happy you enjoyed this video. What a wonderful career and giving back focusing on early childhood studies. Actually you helped create a new generation of young people and their ability to express themselves . I understand about illnesses that can change the course of our lives, but we can always find a ray of sunshine out of what seems to be a negative element in our lives. I’ve always wanted to play the piano. I took lessons when I was a teen but I really never became proficient. I will be thinking of you and hope you will take it day at a time so that your circumstances don’t seem so overwhelming. Sometimes baby steps of the best thing we can do for ourselves.❤️

Good morning Mary. I miss my gardens too. I had 3 acres of woods daffodils tiger lilies rhododendrons Laurel and Dogwood trees. Everything overlooking the ocean, but like you, it got to be too much maintenance for me and downsizing what is the best answer. I think fondly of those days in my other house but I am very happy where I am, too. Thank you so much for sharing your downsizing journey with me❤️

@@lifewithsandrahart It looks like the perfect size...look so big to me--Ive never owned my own home, and am used to living in small apts, but they can be very functional (although i wouldnt say yours is small at all!!) especially if you have a beautiful outdoor living area-- and yours is epic! I managed to make my porch an oasis this summer and it's really the best thing I ever did for my mental health during covid... BTW the dream journal is beautiful!

I was born in 1945 , at the end of WWII. I recognize some of the the lyrics of the 1944 Johnny Mercer “Dream”, by the Pied Pipers. My father used to waltz me to sleep after he came home from the war. Oh the memories .......
