Who Is Mal?
I am an old geek who has been playing games my entire life. I have a keen interest in RPG, Strategy & Tactical games. On my channel you will find Indie as well as AAA titles but I do try to bring light to smaller, worthy projects whenever I am able to. My videos will typically take the form of First Looks, Let's Learn or Let's Plays (and will always include analysis).
Thank You so much for watching and please support with a like, or subscription if you enjoyed any of the videos!
This is awesome, just started the game back up again
Thank you so much for this. XD
thanks dude was a big help +++++
Sure... this is one of my oldest videos, if you would like some updated strats for XCOM or XCOM 2 (as well as Long War) just check out the main channel page. Good luck Commander! o7
As a Capturer I'll weigh in for that side. It is not easy, and you take a ton of risks early on getting those early credits. Out of habit I start in SA for the bonus, and the only continent I really go for is Asia. The others are nice, but with all the R credits and autopsies you can get alot of foundry projects done early (quite a few are affected by credits I think) and get good advantages quickly. You can however bottleneck with engineers, since at the speed you tech up mission and council rewards might not keep pace so you want workshops. And lots of them. Labs are okay, but you'll tech quickly anyways so you don't have to go nuts.
I still try for 2-3 sats a month though. Classic and Impossible lets you be much more aggressive with gray market sales (because more aliens), which is why I consider Africa only good, not great. Kind of too much money with Africa honestly :/
I do draw out the midgame, mostly because I really like capturing things. A mission without a capture (or four) feels...wasted.
thx for the vid and also how do i increase the uplink capacity since i wanna add more satellite
+Herp Derp You would need more engineers and enough power to build additional SAT uplinks. You would then build additional Sats and launch them.
thx for the info since i just want more SAT in the air and i might restart since the video is very interesting. also might rush the laser after getting more SAT in the air
BRUH
I just got them game. I dont see why you would have to pick between the two strats. Don't you have to rush satellites so that nations don't stop funding. Gonna start this game over for the second time cuz i didn't build them fast enough and lost funding. Kinda a perfectionist when it comes to strat games.
So if I made 4 satelites is it better to have each one in different continents? Or do I put all four of them in the same continent?
In the first month if you manage to get four, unless you need panic reduction somewhere I would suggest you take a continent for the bonus. Asia is extremely useful if you are going to push for OTS first.
Let me know if you have additional questions! :)
