  • I am no pro but this really seemed to work after I put more pipe mud in it and let it dry. I still can't recommend a hardwood plug on the bottom of a Missouri Meerschaum enough. This works though! Just buy a MM and you should be set!!!!

    I found a cheap good qaulity corn pipe that was broken in the bottom, so i thank you for filming this! Most videos on these pipes are just showoff. Thank you for a good video my friend!

      Glad I could help! Honestly i think i would just get a MM since they are built way better. I have a few.

    Ash from a hardwood like hickory or oak works even better than the tobacco ash

    Neat! I have seen some corncobs that have had a hardwood plug in the bottom of them. I even had one at one time.

    Wish I would have seen this sooner. Got a cheap MM Mizzou cob from Amazon that came with the shank severely twisted and a big gap between the bowl and shank on the outside. Wouldn't smoke at all.
    Got the shank out and was sanding it down a bit to reduce that gap. Then tried to remove some of the glue from the bowl and went right through the bottom.
    I stuck a bunch of toothpicks and glue in the bottom. Then saw this vid. Even have a cork handy. Doh!

    I punched through the bottom of my natural corn cob on a Missouri Meerchaum Christmas Pony pipe/ the Frosty The Snowman Special today. I picked up a 1/2 inch wooden dowel and some white Elmers glue to fix it. I’ll be trying it out this weekend, I’ll keep you posted on how it turns out.

      let me know! I bet the dowel will work!

    Probably good idea to put a pipe cleaner in too block draft hole to avoid any mud from blocking draft hole. Anyway,good idea to save the pipe from a future trash can.👍😏

    Para sellar estaria bien usar arcilla, con el calor de la fumada acaba endureciendose.

    Everyone wants that "concrete" or stone like hardness after their pipe mud dries, what would happen if you used actual concrete, i don't think it has chemicals in it does it ? you can get small bags with no stones in it at home depot for like $2.00 enough for at least 1000 pipes lol, just food for thought, has anyone done this ? great video, thanks 👍.

    i think i've damaged my corn cob. not sure whats the cause but the bottom now has a hole that i can see the back of the label from the chamber. probably will try this method if i can find a good wine cork lying around or otherwise i gotta order a new pipe.

    • @AM2PMReviews
      @AM2PMReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1
