DriveSmart 66 owner here. I would like to see how you have it mounted... hopefully in the next video.

Seeing it wouldn't show how I made it work but it's easy to explain. I use the standard Garmin suction mount at lower left of the windshield glass, but turned the mount and the circle clip slightly to get a little extra angle room. I was able to get the screen lower to the dashboard and tilt it so it's not glaring or reflecting.

do the 66 or 76 include lifetime maps or just x amount of years since you activate it??

As long as you remember to update at least once a year (which means turn on the Garmin Wi-Fi update once a year and let it download any updates it needs to), and as long as the model is not listed here (this list only has very old models that Garmin no longer has map support for) support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=FbLi6qISMH8vJG5A1p9tW5 then you should receive map updates for several years. I do not know exactly how many years.

Excellent navigation...I got the version with the camera...all the warnings (lane crossing, approaching a vehicle...etc.) work flawlessly...worth every cent, I can't imagine driving without this little thing anymore...I was skeptical about mounting it on the glass (that it wouldn't hold well), but so far everything is fine...

DriveSmart 76 is 8.45oz (239.6g) and DriveCam 76 (the one with dashcam) is 9.56oz (271g). DriveCam isn't all that much heavier and should hold on the glass without issue. Even with the camera it's still better than the DriveSmart 70 which is 10.8oz (308g), or the older nuvi 2797LMT which is 12.4oz (352g), and neither of those 7" models have a camera at all.

Beware. It does not work well with Macs. Does not mount on the desktop. Does not work with POI Loader. Problems with Garmin Express. Works just fine with Windows.

On this particular model I go to Diagnostics Page (Volume page, hold top right corner, Configuration and Settings, MTP Settings, set MTP Mode to USB Ethernet) to resolve wonky issues when connecting to a computer so it mounts correctly. I don't know if that will fix issues when connecting to a MacOS box but it's worth a go. I also use the supplied Garmin USB cable just to be on the safe side.
