Sylvanus Osoro (MP) says that we have a huge budget and the government had no option but to look for funds using the Finance Bill YET noone told these MPs to pass a humongous budget. Some of the things they budgeted for were:
1. Renovations worth millions of dollars for official residences for the President and his Deputy amid the dire economic situation
2. Luxurious travel of these MPs and other officials to places like Singapore, South Korea, Australia, UK, France etc for things they call "capacity building"
3. Financing offices created for woves of politicians such as the 1st Lady, 2nd lady and wife of the Prime CS so they can carry out mandates belonging to current institutions.
The ruling party MPs who are friends of Osoro walk around bragging how they bought expensive belts, watches, suits etc then he comes to Aljazeera to speak with ARROGANCE.
I'm very proud that Aljazeera brought this young man from the Communist Party. He is VERY INFORMED and has raised more issues which have angered the public.
You forgot the absurd salaries, travel allowances, car allowances, housing allowances, etc that all of the MPs get.

Its this kind of arrogance and selfishness that makes our young people prefer to die rather than see our beautiful country run down. For years Kenyans have been overtaxed and the money collected is more than enough to fund govt expenditure many time over. The problem is corruption and very wasteful spending that takes over half of the taxes we pay...

My wife applied for Kenya Citizenship under new constitution some time in 2011 but this date the immigration department has not responded. File lost in other words give bride. Very common.
I'm Kenyan and my wife is Ethiopian, while all my kids have Kenyan citizenship, we applied for my wife's Kenyan citizenship in 2019 but to this day, we don't know what is going on because apparently we did not bribe anyone. We need to drain the swamp.

Our biggest problem is parliamentary capture by the executive. Our constitution does not have a government side in the house. Osoro and other MPs should OVERSIGHT the executive not try to run government. They must go.
