Haven’t listened to the entire video tbh but just from the title I have to say WHAT??
I’m not a Bronny James fan. I didn’t watch him in any other forum but the way people are acting like him being taken with the 55th pick in the second round is a crime or something is ridiculous.
I don’t remember hearing this uproar for any of Giannis brothers, Chris Smith, Blake Griffins brother, Luke Walton as a coach (any of the nepo coaches, GM’s, presidents or team owners).
This pick would have normally gone to someone who would be out of place regardless.
With all due respect the "Giannis's brothers" point is so old, lame and misleading, because most people who bring it up don't know their background and situation. First neither one was drafted directly to the Bucks. Secondly both had accomplished European pro careers, thirdly both had put in work overseas, in the g league, played on several franchises before they ended up on Giannis's team. Lastly they're superior athletically than Bronny. In addition Blake Griffins brother was a very good college player and legitimate NBA prospect with the physical tools that translated in the NBA. All of these guys would have ended up in the NBA on their own merit, without the relationship of their popular siblings. Bronny would have never been considered an NBA prospect or even a USC player if not for his Dad. The mismatch between the actual talent and opportunity presented to Bronny is what's driving the backlash.
It is when you find out that his teammate at USC who was better than Bronny and star of the team didn’t even get drafted!
@@diggidy5367 is that the same case for the others I mentioned? If you take out Giannis brothers you still have a history in the NBA of people being drafted/picked up or placed in positions because of nepotism and no one bats an eye. This is the first time I have heard this argument in all my years watching this league.
I don’t have a problem because players drafted at that position rarely turn out to be game changers. If he turns out to be serviceable then great if not it didn’t really cost anything.
I will also point out that this was a weak draft compared to other years if he had come out next year then that point would be more valid. I believe there are multiple players in round 1 that averaged less than 10 ppg and had weak stats

The NBA will turn into the current MLB,... all foreign guys and a few American players. The MLB is unwatchable. You can't even pronounce the players' names, and there are no African-American stars, like in the 80s and 90s.

The Summer League is like streetball. You have to move around and create your own offense. There are no plays being ran. You're playing off your abilities and talent. Bronny would just shoot 3-pointers or get his points off a fastbreak. He doesn't know how to play like a Ja Morant, Donovan Mitchell or Kyrie Irving, guys who know how to score and create their own shot.
So it's a 99% chance Bronny is not playing in the Summer League that's coming up in a few days. You hear no one on ESPN or FOX talking about it
