Even if Brown plays better than Tatum it will always be Tatum's team because that's what the marketing wants.
The powers in control of basketball hate Jaylen Brown the same way they hate Kyrie Irving. They don't like "truth tellers" and that's why they want to promote Tatum so hard over Brown. Tatum is a nice guy who will never be controversial.

Ask Gilbert Arena... Tryouts don't work as long as u have humans at d helm. If u have robots in charge, that'll be fair but even that is subject to the humans who created them. I would suggest a slot system. The coaches first get to pick 2 players, the fans after 3 players, then remaining 10 players are picked from top all NBA awards winners from past 3, 4 or 5 years. So top 5 allNBA and top 5allDefense. These votes should happen separate and independent of each other at the same time. Any remaining slot should be given to any AllNBA players but voted by players already picked...
If there was a tryout, Kyrie would have made the team and they don’t want that. So they just hand pick the guys.

The first is Jaylen is socially & politically conscious and they are scared he may say something along those lines during the Olympic games. Secondly Jaylen backed Kyrie when Nike ditched him due to the movie controversy. Thirdly Jaylen played in the Big 3 when the NBA didn't want their players playing in the league plus the NBA is trying to blackball the Big 3 league. Jaylen has been snubbed three times this year, No all NBA team selection, no all NBA defensive team selection and no USA Olympic team selection. This is absolutely disrespectful hands down.
