Hi Katie - I have been putting this off, but you are convincing me to move forward with Pinterest more quickly than I would otherwise - keep the tips coming! thanks!
Hi Katie! Love that you're talking about Pinterest as well! I just posted my video talking about Pinterest and looks like you're doing amazing! I will check out your channel as well :) good luck with everything!
Hi Katie! Thank you for this video! My question is, if I have a new blog should I wait until I have a certain number of articles before starting on Pinterest? I’m worried about posting the same pins on my boards.
Hey Ketsia, Great question. No, I would start straight away. You want to get traffic to your blog from the beginning, and it’s ok if your Pinterest profile builds over time. What you said about pinning the same pins over and over again is an excellent point, though. So what you can do is create new pin images for your existing blog post. Pinterest will see these new images as fresh pins and distribute them as if they were brand new. Also, don’t stress too much about the number of pins you pin every day. I would just try to be consistent every day, even if it's only a few pins. :)
Hi Katie! I need help. So I created my website, and I wrote 4 blog posts. I created a Pinterest account for my brand. I downloaded Canva, and created some beautiful eye catching pins, a couple for each blog post. Now I am LOST. What is the first thing I need to do with these pins. Pinterest is like a foreign country to me. Can you take me step by step where I need to drag my pins initially. Do I post the photos on my website first and then pin them? Or to my Pinterest? Or to a board? Thanks in advance!
Hey Mae, thanks for your question. I think this video will be very helpful to get started: th-cam.com/video/Pw_poQaX0mQ/w-d-xo.html and please let me know if it answers your question or not. I'm happy to give you more info.
I understand the idea of keeping the pins relevant to a specific niche. but what about if I want to promite my ebay store, and I sell priducts from different niches?
Hey Sapir, I would then just make sure you have clearly separated boards. Like one for one product category and another board for a separate category. Then make sure you use clear keywords in your board descriptions and only pin your pins to relevant boards. You should still be fine.
I would say between 5-15 a day. The max I recommend pinning each day is 25. Consistency is more important than the amount I've found so start with 5 if you can, then slowly try to increase to 15.
OMG!!! Why is no one talking about this extension to pinterest?? What a lifesaver this vid is! I am so new to the game and there are so many tips and tricks. AMAZING! When I click on the extension I only see the 1 pin image. Am I doing something wrong?
Thank you so much 😊 - so happy to hear you like my tips. So the pin extension should show all the images which are embedded in that post or page. Are you sure there's more than one pin? If yes, maybe there's a bugs or some websites block you from pinning certain images. Hope this helps.
q. what is happening inside the boards? why should I be moving my pins around and deleting pins? and adding more and more and more pins to my specific board. why should i also put the pin i create into two or more board upon making them or scheduling them.
If I have a blog about home decor & garden but I also write about travel tips and traveling with kids, these are different niches. So that wouldn’t be good for my pinboard and the algorithm?
Vielen danke for this super helpful video, can you please clarify how do you create amazing images for your pinterest pins, blog posts ? Thanks in advance.
Hi Katie, Thank you for the very insightful video. My question is if I should start a new Pinterest profile account for my blog? I have a Pinterest account that isn't purely for my blog since I also pin personal pins. For now, I'm getting traffic from old pins but none of my new pins for months now are getting any engagement. If I should start, I'm I bound to lose traffic from that old account? I will really appreciate your thoughtful insights.
You are doing a great job I have been following your blog for sometime now pls my taiwind board list is not taking more than 8 board list .I can't even edit it pls advise me
Katie, careful with the long intro with no sound, I nearly bounced! i think some would have.... a nice face cant always mitigate a confusing start....but I persevered...thank you was very informative
I have a Pinterest business account and created boards but they are not appearing when I am in my business account? They are saved?.. how do I make them public?
Hey there, yeah, so Pinterest is always changing the layout 😓 Can you try going to your account and then switch from the "created" to the "saved" tab. Your boards should show up there.
Hey Sarah,. No, I wouldn't recommend deleting any pins. I would either start a new business account and use your account as a personal account (if you haven't changed it to a business account yet) or otherwise continue to pin only business-relevant pins. You can also turn your personal boards to secret boards, so they don't confuse people seeing your profile.
Hey Sonia, so I do, but it's closed for enrolment. I need to update it according to the lates changes. I'll let the TH-cam fam know once I open it up 😊
You can definitely make multiple pins for a single blog post. But make sure these pins are different from eachother. Pinterest loves fresh pins so for Pinerest to categorize them as fresh pins they need to be different.
I have a follow up question related to the same topic. If ai create, say 5 pins for one Blog post - can I switch up the heading or does it have to be exactly the same as the blog post, but just change the graphics? 🤔 Thank you 😊
Hey Joanne, yes you can. You can have up to 4 Pinterest Accounts (personal and business) combined. This post could be helpful too 😊www.tailwindapp.com/blog/personal-to-pinterest-business
Yea, sorry to hear that. The follow strategy doesn’t work on Pinterest. Followers are important but not the amount rather the quality of subscribers matter. By quality I mean how much your followers are interested in what you pin. So if you pin a new pin and it resonates well with your subscribers, Pinterest will automatically distribute it to people who aren’t following you. So I wouldn’t spend time trying to grow super fast. Try to attract the right people. Hope this helps
@@KatieGrazer Thank you! I will just try to post pins, do you recommend repinning other content or does that just promote someone else on your account?
Ah thank you ☺️ Ok so the thing is, you're allowed to pin 1 pin to up to 10 boards but only the very first pin will be considered truly fresh. But yes 1 pin to 10 pins is ok.
Hey Marilyn, so you don't get paid by Pinterest. You can use Pinterest as a tool to drive traffic to your website, shop, or blog or use affiliate marketing on Pinterest. Hey Dalene, thanks for your question. Since you're also pinning personal stuff on your Pinterest account I would recommend you start a new account for your blog. The algorithm looks at how much your followers engage with your content. If you have a very divers group of follower only a fraction will be interested in your content so you'll get less engagement and less reach. So I would start a new Pinterest business account that only focuses on your blog. You can just leave the pins you have on your old account. You don't have to delete those. This would be my suggestion. :) Best K
