It's confusing because he didn't watch the doc, he had no negative experiences on set, he claims what other people may view as "toxic" was just business as usual to him, so I don't understand what he's doing here.

And I’m sorry this may be unpopular opinion but just my opinion. It’s like saying oh I dated that rapist, he didn’t do it to me. I didn’t notice anything. So I can’t speak on what I don’t know. A rapist is a rapist weather he did it to you or not that doesn’t change the person. Drake Bell was a victim.! people that were bullied on Zoey101 were victims. we need to make that the front fourth of the issue because if I had a good experience with somebody who did that to people I would no longer associate with that person or talk about the good times. It diminishes what the victims go through.

They remember laughing and smiling at someone who was hurting on the otherside of the screen. Though we all grew up together, looking back knowing they helped you navigate life in diff ways via TV while they were struggling is heartbreaking.
Also Raven, you being gay did not ruin our childhood. I feel like youve always held that "weight". Release that sis. I personally felt you gave both sides of the coin and i still sat, so i could see the future with you. We Cheetah Girled together. We Supernovad, we went back to revist Olivia! We was with you sis, rooting you on! You are our poster child, girl, woman, human for Disney Stars. I hope you know more people support Raven the human more than theyd like you to believe. This is really strange, why talk about something you have taken no time to understand? I have never Seen Chris Massey act, or any of these shows, but as a teacher and advocate for children against child sexual abuse, I am following this. I find this commentary baffeling. What does having his parents nearby, a good on set teacher and a fun time have to do with children being exploited and abused? Quiet on set barely scratched the surface, Jeannette Mc Curdy's book and the other streamers and articles tell a very tragic story. He is acting like a toxic work environment means a boss who is yelling. There were molesters hired and reccomended to work with kids. The kids who were notprotected were at risk and got hurt. His experience of being protected is wondreful and wholesome. But how does it connect to the theme of the documentary?
Thank Goddess Raven is talking sense. ChrisMassey please listen to the victims and watch the thing or don't speak on the doc.

I have been good through god graces and I know I am not supposed to go back into the work world the same way. I love working with teens and families and know I am supposed to do something to help my community. I was looking at things lately like I have to find a “job” not because I’m struggling financially but because it is what I’m “supposed to be doing “ according to society. I need to really just focus on doing what I know I want to do and I know I will love my work. Because honestly I just don’t see me working at another job I don’t love.

I just want to pop in here and say something since it seems like everyone is saying Chris is in the wrong. He said that alot of his fans or fans of the show have been asking him if he had a similar experience on the nickelodeon set with Dan and he was simply just giving his experience being on Z101. I dont get why its rude that he didnt watch when he didnt even give his two cents on the stories in the doc and he never discredited/invalidated anyone. And for when he commented on Dan’s behavior when he would get upset at the cast, he was just explaining why HE personally never saw it as a big problem growing up in a strict household where he clearly went through the same thing everyday. He also agreed with Raven and Miranda everytime they explained the victims sides of the story and understood he had a completely different experience and perspective compared to the women and other black male actors. He also said his parents were there 25/8 and hearing how his dad is, im sure thats why Dan never tried it with him lmao. So basically i dont think he did anything wrong or disrespectful by simply letting people know his experience while also understanding it was different from the victims..

Because he has parents that were there and onset. It doesn’t take away from the ones that were victimized because their parents were not as present. It brings awareness to those parents who have child stars and just kinda throw them to the wolves so to speak and allow them around people like Brian Peck to be able to be alone with and abuse their children. That’s the message. PROTECT YOUR KIDS. Period. Even if it costs them the fame and money.

Let me start by saying I watched the documentary and it was awful what happened to those children! Just pure awful! But a lot of you are missing the point of this particular conversation! Chris was in the media lately because of the response his mom had to what happened in the documentary so I can see why he reached out to Raven (a safe place for him) to simply speak his truth there was no twisting his words or anything just him speaking his truth and acknowledging there is a problem that needs a resolution …..nobody needs to judge his reaction to the situation because you never know what he is doing to help behind the scenes…..he just simply did not experience the things that other children experienced and he cannot change that truth it’s his! Also I agree with him 100% on parents needing to protect their children in this industry! I hate that some child actors grew up with parents who are toxic and don’t protect their kids but kuddos to his parents for being there for him and his brother and ensuring they were safe and spoken for! This conversation was still needed just like any other conversation going on about the safety of children in the industry let’s not diminish any light that’s being shed that can possibly bring about change ❤

I realize that on-set teachers technically have the ability to step in and put a halt to production if they see something inappropriate occurring, but they didn't cite any examples from their own personal experience of ever having witnessed that, nor specified any knowledge of it happening on another series. I have to wonder how often something like that ever happens, because to do so would disrupt the schedule and cost the studio money, and I have to think that teachers are cognizant of the fact that doing so might result in career retaliation from producers.

This is also not "making light of what Dan did," he was speaking from his own experience, he didn't know about those females writers on another show, or what Alexa went through...None of us Did, and all of these folks are still holding things from us...so to expect him or Raven to just lambaste makes no sense.
