Hello Julie, first off let me start by saying how much I love your videos, your so sweet and so down to earth......I was a full time Flight Attendant up until Sept 2019 , I was involved in a car accident and had two surgeries from my injury. I discovered U TUBE and that’s where I found you...... was on bed rest for 10 months and I got hooked from that moment and said” I can do that” it’s been a journey and I’m doing furniture flips,thrift flip, restore and make anything and everything I can .... absolutely loving my life, just when I thought my life was over..... lol Look at God......oh, I’m not going to return to flying, have great bennies and I’m so inspired by you..... we live in Alaska and thrift stores and dollar stores are so expensive, just bought myself a shilouttee 4 for my signs..... Have a great day and keep making those videos.......

You might want to look for acrylic blocks to use with stamps. You can apply more even pressure than with the plastic sheet.
The crockery stamp on that stocking turned out amazing!!!

For stamps there are so many ways to go! You can make your own in 3 ways that I know. Very brief descriptions.
1. Potato stamps: Cut a potato in half large enough for the design you have in mind. With your design cut away slices around the pattern. Blot with towel to remove excess moisture. Test out the use. You need to use before it dries out. Once it dries out is really distorts your image. Pretty much a one time use till dries out.
2. Lino: (linoleum flooring) printing was originally a form of fine art printmaking. You carve your image or design into the lino, then inked or painted, add pressure and transfer your design. Because you can buy lino in so many sizes cheaply it has a big benefit. Can be used over and over again.
3. Carving block or rubber: There are many types of block forms available. You can even use erasers. Carve your image or design in the to block and it is yours to use over and over again.
4. Have someone make a stamp for you with your design ideas. You can find people on Zazzle, Etsy and Fivvr to do this. You may have someplace local to your are that could do it. Then you can test them, use them and/or sell them.
If you go to Amazon you can find carving tools for cheap in many different sets. They are fun to experiment with. You can also find the carving blanks, too.
Thanks so much for all the tips. Carving isn't even an option. I hated printmaking in college 🤣🤣

Love your ideas. One helpful hint. Stamp companies have clear acrylic rectangles/squares that you press your stamps on and then place them on fabric/wood/paper/metal. Much easy to control stamping because you can see where your putting it. Smaller and easy to control. Good luck.

The Martha Stewart round pounchers might work good for putting paint on the stamps.
You may want to consider a scroll saw instead of a band saw. So much easier to maneuver your wood when cutting corners and intricate designs. You did some great projects! Love the stockings!
Maybe I need both 🤔🤣 that would be good for the smaller stuff but also want a band saw for my big thick wood
@@JuliesDesignsandSigns If you get a powerful enough scroll saw you should have no problems cutting 2 inch thick wood. Of course any thicker pieces would need a band saw. I had one and got rid of it. Liked my scroll saw better as I could control it easier.
I am a stamper/ card maker/ crafter/ diyer... regarding stamps... make sure you get quality stamps as in cost photopolymer stamps. Silicone stamps tend to not accept the ink as well. Iv you notice your ink "beading up" on your stamp you can try conditioning it by rubbing it firmly with your fingers or lightly sanding it with a nail file. Ive never had good luck getting a good impression with a silicone stamp.

I have always loved stamps and in my tiny town there is a print store where I always get my custom stamps. As for you designing them, google, girl. We can learn to do anything on TH-cam-obviously....and find out if you can just use resin and silicone molds, etc. I really wanna keep up with your progress and I wanna be the first patron!!!!!
