We got some bricks from the small school in our town, that was over 100 years old, so they knocked it down and allowed community members to gather bricks as remembrances.

I feel like I've been SO bad abt not commenting lately. This vlog is an oldie but goodie! Loved all the pieces. My favorite may have been the bk end bricks. Alw love your stacked bks! The cement probs are finally growing on me. Lol Oh, that shutter turned out super sweet. I have bigger Hunter green antiques ones that I might try that technique on?! It's funny, I never thought I'd grow old of Hunter Green but I kinda am...that only took 25yrs!

Hi Julie! Just found your channel and love it. I do my books almost exactly the same except I Mod Podge the paper I print my words out on right on the book spine, cut to the size of the spine, covering the whole spine. I hope that makes sense. It eliminates having to trace it and rewrite it. I also paint my spines with Waverly Chalk Paint to even out the color underneath. Once you Mod Podge it on, you can’t tell it’s a separate piece of paper. I hope I’m explaining it right.
yes, makes since. i have done that too with music sheets and words, i think it maybe in another video. but whenever i can hand write I like to do that, looks so much nicer.

If you plan to paint something with chips on it, use air-dry clay to fill in the chip, smooth it out, and sand it, once dry. No one will notice the repaired chips!

I loved all the pieces, you are really talented! I especially liked the brick idea because I really love old finds. On the end if the brick did add the address or something? I couldn't read it that good, but I thought that was a really nice touch!
Yes, the town and state it can from.
I had a thought..... With these shutters..... Since both sides are usually usable..... What if you put a phrase/saying on both sides.... That way your customer could just flip the sign to the other side for holidays or season change... I guess your hanging system would have to go on the top or outside edges bot you could charge a lot more for not a whole lot more materials
That might work nice for Christmas signs..... You might sell more Christmas signs if they could be flipped over for the rest of the year

Not sure. I would just get some modpoge. They have it at the dollar tree. All you need is a small tube of it

Perks of working at home. I can wear what I want 😉. It took me a while to grow mine, just be patient and post something everyday. Ask customers to post and tag you when they purchase something. I find at the end of the day, word of mouth is still the best advertisement.
