There is also a total conversion mod for gothic 2 named The chroniclas of myrtana: Archolos which is very good sitting at 98% reviews all time

There is also a prequel to Nehrim called Arktwend. It's a total conversion for Morrowind and set in the same universe.
Enderal is legitimately one of my favorite RPGs of all time. Also it has its own launcher on steam and game folder so you have no excuse not to download it.
I didn't finish Enderal yet, but I was so impressed with what that team accomplished.
Enderal puts to shame 99% of RPGs action games.
Others have mentioned that SureAI have made a tc for Morrowind as well, but they've actually made 2: Arktwend as well as Myar Aranath.
playing Enderal the first time... that's something special
Enderal is one of the most amazing and unique games I have ever played. The closest experience I’ve had to a setting and story like it would be the Banner Saga Trilogy (though with markedly different gameplay of course). I will always remember the experiences I had with both. I’m sad it doesn’t appear that SureAI will be returning to the world of Vyn.
Enderal is my favorite rpg of all time. I decided to read dreams of the dying right after and read it within a month lol. Some of the best worldbuilding out there

hey man, I am a die hard enderal fan for years now and I have more hours on enderal than skyrim itself! I love seeing the game getting love on youtube. You should make a video on how to mod enderal further for better graphics for us beefy gpu enderal gamers

Been modding Skyrim (again) recently and 2025 is looking insane for the large expansive quest/location mods. I am really excited for Baldur's gate 3 modding, modders have already showed off what they can do with new areas so if modding ages like Skyrim modding, I think we are in for an amazing time.

I swear, when I played Enderal, it was first time in a videogame when I said to
any character: "Well, fuck you too, asshole! I can't believe you did this to me!"
Jespar left me so disappointed in him, that I felt true anxiety after he ran away and I didn't even considered the shit he was going through. For the first time I felt true disappointment in a person that wasn't even real and this was most briliant moment of character writing in my opinion.
I was NOT disappointed in Jespar as in a character. I was disappointed in him as in person. It took me few seconds to realize what I was so angry about.

I LOOOOOVED Enderal, but I've tried to play Nehrim 3 times now and for whatever reason it will not stay over like 10 FPS after I leave the starting mine on my modern PC.
Nehrim is fun but mine crashes every thirty minutes unfortunately.
Enderal: Special Edition was the best thing that has happened to the Skyrim community. The Oldrim version of Enderal was unbelievably unstable, crashing every 40 minutes, and still, it was amazing. When they released the Special Edition version, I lost my shit. It is one of the best ARPGs ever.

I've been meaning to play Enderal for a while now, does this video spoil much? Or just premise and random gameplay?
I attempted to keep it as spoiler free as possible, but it does cover the main story you would discover at about 10 to 20 hours in.
Just play it my man. U will get lost in it fast. Trust me.
The intro of Enderal alone is what made the game reach my top 10 games of all time

Not better but very good.
I personally wouldn't say Nehrim or Enderal are better than Oblivion or Skyrim but aside from some of the voice acting they're definitely fantastic conversion mods.
My only real issue is the over abundance of humans. I like to see fantasy races in fantasy games.

I think people misunderstand what game-development really is and how it works, when they talk how "Modders create better experiences than original creators".
Sure, there are fantastical modders out there who are really creative and provide unique experiences. However, it is really important to understand that work is really different when it is based on top of existing, established piece of art rather than something people create from scratch or at best, on top of a previous installation of series(which in case of Bethesda is not much as Oblivion was totally different game in many ways).
It is always magnitudes easier to provide fun and creative experiences when one has existing product and consumers reactions to work with - they know what to add, tweak or delete. They have existing modding tools provided to them and all that "nasty work" is done for them. Again, not taking anything away from modders as it is not an easy task and requires tons of work. However, here we are comparing apples and oranges.
this doesn't work when the company in question, bethesda, has been reusing their game engine for the better part of 25 years, only ever changing it up to strip features in order to make place for gimmicks like a more realistic physics engine that makes the loading screens 3 times longer
Bethesda games are garbage, full stop. If I had ever felt like pirating their games I would mod it and turn it into something of worth. These modders deserve the credit at this point.
Modders also have infinite time and no deadlines, and ultimate creative without having to deal with corporate structure surrounding every decision

yeah it was better in that regard that it softlocks any progress if you get any crime on you (in my case it was accidentally waiting 5 hours inside someone's house for which the owner immediatelly attacked me and with them all the guards in starter town) so I only wasted like 5 hours in this graphomaniacs maniphesto

the ONLY thing I dont like about Enderal is the weird apachi anime hairs on some of the characters like the dude with the blue armor

I'd argue that there is one studio better than Bethesda about mods, and that would be Running With Scissors. RWS bought out the rights to the most popular Postal 2 mods, gave the developers a portion of the residuals, and has only continued to profit from that choice. Bethesda should be doing the same with mods like Skyrim UI, Restored Thieves Guild, and so on, rather than just limiting access through the Creation Club and its successor programs where the modders get paid far less comparatively, but they don't and wonder why people are leery of 'paid mods'. The short-term loss of compensating modders for past work and updating them to match later versions is could yield far more dividends then any get-rich-quick Fallout 76 microtransaction, especially given how leary the single-player fans are of multiplayer content. It would also buy back a lot of goodwill.
