2 years ago I went in for a pam smear, told my obgyn that i was having consistent back pain, so we did an ultrasound. I had 2 dermoid cysts, 1 on each ovary, 4cm big. She told me there was nothing she can do, take some pain meds, and that was it. Last year I found a new obgyn, since I was still having back pains, but they were now worst and sometimes I couldnt even walk or get out of bed, or even do my job. New obgyn did ultrasound, my cysts were now 5 cm big each and she told me, "these are pretty big, and I would highly recommend surgery to remove it, especially since you are having so much pain as well." Had my surgery this year in Feb 2022. Turns out I didnt have 2 cysts. I actually had 5!! The two 5cms cysts were so big they were hiding the smaller cysts!!! (two 5cms, two 2cm, and one 3cm cysts) After the surgery, I got another ultrasound just so we could get a baseline of what ovaries look like, and the ultrasonographer told me, "Oh! We can actually see your ovaries now! Your cysts were so big I couldnt see them last time. Do you want to take a look?" I am in no more pain!!!! And I love my new obgyn and her staff! So resourceful and they actually listen to my concerns and help me understand things about my body! Im 12 weeks post-op and Im doing great, feel amazing, and will be trying for a baby later this year!
My OB thought it was GI pain and even though she started me on birth control and they found it on an ultrasound, she refused to do anything about it :(
I've had endometriosis and ovarian cysts since 14. I'm 40 now, and as of last year, have had more surgeries than years I've been alive. My right ovary was blown apart causing massive internal bleeding causing appendicitis at 16 and my first surgery. I've now lost my right ovary and part of my right fallopian tube. The cysts I make grow so fast and are almost always 6 cm or larger. The last being 8 cm. I've had torsion happen and have lost 4 pregnancies. The last, I thought I was gonna make it, because it was the only time I made it to 5 months. Sadly, I was wrong. I have endometriosis inside my ovary, and adhesions that rip all the time. My internal organs are often attached to my abdominal wall. The physical pain I am in on a daily basis is extreme and exhausting. I am so glad that in these last years, the attitude towards women with these conditions has changed. I was told when I was 18 by one Dr in the ER that I was faking the pain, and that endometriosis is 100% cyclic and the pain psychological. 4 days later I was at home at the top of my stairs when a 9cm cyst burst and brought me down so quickly I fell down the stairs. I was rushed into surgery to stop internal bleeding and repair the damage. 2 weeks later, I went home after they removed the 8 staples from the laparotomy incision. Leaving the 50 some stitches inside to dissolve. My heart goes out to any woman going through the same things. The pain has been compared to labor. I agree. No not all cases are as bad, but ladies, mine started out small. So I ignored it. There wasn't any information out there either. If you are here because you're worried about pain you're feeling, don't be like me! Don't ignore it. Go to your doctor, ask a shit ton of questions, and if they don't seem to care, get another doc. A specialist whenever possible. Get an ultrasound, topical AND internal. And don't be afraid to fight for yourself. The pain is real. It is not cyclic. But it can get worse during menstruation. We are an incredibly strong sex, but we don't have to just tough it out. We do that enough. Much love ladies 💜
@@kmurray559 please get checked for endometrial hyperplasia. And an exploratory laparoscopy to look for the ovaries. My endo is inside mine.(and everywhere else) Works like a pressure cooker and it hurts so much. Ask about the hyperplasia. Best wishes girl. Hang in there! 💜
I’m so sorry you had to go through all of this. I have a 15cm and 10cm cyst I’m about to have surgery on. At 34 I’m having both ovaries removed so I don’t have to deal with this anymore.
I never comment on videos, but I wanted to compliment you on this one. You are very easy to listen to and you seem so knowledgeable and caring. I just felt like sending some appreciation 🙂
I had my first hemorrhagic cyst recently and still dealing with it and I was so worried but this video helped me understand this so much more and ease my worries about it.
Same here, was in the hospital for my first hemorrhagic cyst and the pain was horrible, really scared me. I am good now but had to come and do my research and I am happy for this video because my gynae did not explain it in this detail
I had cyst on my left ovary. I was told by gynae nothing to worry about. Pain persist. I went back to another gynae consultant . I had surgery. The surgery was just remove cyst. During surgery they found my left ovary covered in cysts along with my right ovary . So both by ovary removed . Further tests showed that the cysts had spread to my omentum and I had to have further surgery to remove my omentum. The cysts were borderline cancerous. Had I not gone back to see another gynae and gave a second opinion I most certainly would have full blown cancer. So ladies never give up checking . If your not happy with diagnosis go back. You life may depend on it. I went into have cancer debunking surgery which basically removes anything the cancerous cells may have seeded into, hysterectomy, both ovaries tubes, appendix, omentum (stomach lining) gall bladder . It’s been quite a journey.
God bless you i agree! I hope you are healed now two years later me reading this! I am seeing another gyn my diagnosis is not sitting well with me! God bless!!
As someone who has been worried about the possibility of having cysts (I had a miscarriage last month, first pregnancy) and a 6+ month wait to get any type of ultrasound, THANK YOU Dr. Crawford for this informative, light-hearted video filled with love, knowledge and positivity! I have never had a doctor explain cysts with such clarity and ease. You're the best!
Saame. I love how she puts us at ease. My doctor just told me in he saw a large mass on my ovary and then later tells me he thinks it’s a cysts that can go away on their own or he can safely remove it 2nd trimester. Learned I had this possible cyst at 4 weeks 4 days but the way he says the word “ a large mass” like really ??? Now I worry every moment that I have cancer until I see the doc again next week to ask more questions
Can anyone tell me why do I always have cyst in my ovary? I had right ovary cyst surgery now I have small cyst on left ovary. It’s so sickening. No one tell me clearly why I have cyst. I’m still underage….
Thank you for this video… my doc just threw me on birth control neither he or the nurses had patience enough to explain the WHY your video made it all make sense. A shame all Fertility specialist aren’t like you and others on TH-cam.
I went to the ER yesterday with abdominal pain - I have a 7.4 cm (3 inch!) ovarian cyst on my right ovary. My husband got a vasectomy, then I got off the pill after 16 years of being on it. Thanks for the video, Doc. Your delivery of information is perfect. Making an appointment with my obgyn for consultation & removal.
Omg, I went last week. I have a 16x12 cm . They told me it's dermoid now I'm reading the paper it says patient with a large mass with ascites.....I knew something was wrong from January cause I wasn't losing weight but nothing hurt till last week.
If you are hurting extremely bad and feeling light headed or passing out while standing, please go to the ER. You'd rather have a large bill than lose your life. I took a bc powder for a headache 2 says before my cyst ruptured and I had these symptoms, but i decided to go to bed and ignore it. I woke up almost dead. Doctor said 15 more minutes and I wouldn't have made it. I was literally passing out over and over again while laying down in a hospital bed.
I was in and out of hospitals because of ovarian cysts from the ages of 25 to 35. Then I eliminated dairy from my diet completely, and never had an ovarian problem again.
@@Leafygreenie ask your doctor for a hormone test, you could be dealing with a hormone imbalance (possibly needing more progesterone) versus just too much estrogen. Also, you can get estrogen and fake estrogens through products/plastics, you’re body might have a hard time processing or eliminating those estrogens from your body, there’s hope ❤️
I always had cystic acne and figured out it was from dairy. So I stopped dairy for many years up until this last year. I eat it like every other day so it won't give me pimples. Like i'll start to grow one then stop dairy for a day and it would go away. I had serious pain in my abdomen this past month and just had an ultrasound today. The radiologist said said she saw a few cysts on my ovary. No more dairy for me ever again!!! Also, plant based butters and oils cause acne for me as well. So I will stop that also. At least not nearly as much as I've been eating!
@@rockintennisI have a cyst on my right ovary 22mm the doctor says it 1,2 years old I haven’t gotten my periods from last two months what should I do … my doctor told me some meds but I am not taking them right now I am afraid 😩😩
This is the best and most accurate doctor I ever heard I wish she is my doctor 🥺😭 I had surgery dermoid 10 years ago now it seems it's going back, and theres no answer why i keep having dermoid 😢 surgery is the worst I hate it 😭
when I was 16 my doctor diagnosed me with pcos after I switched my birth control pill. he told me that it would be hard for me to get pregnant and I was in shock. He prescribed me the regular pill again. 2 years ago I switched to another OB/GYN and he told me that those were probably functional cysts because I switched to an estrogen free pill. I no longer take any hormones and have a regular cycle so I probably won't have any problems to conceive ❤️
I’m 17 and just got diagnosed I’m so worried about fertility, my biggest goal in life is having kids. What should I do?? She said I could get on birth control but I don’t want to.
So comprehensive in your understanding of the multiple expressions of disease. Thank you! Would be great if we knew what controls women have to help themselves!
I had a few horribly painful cysts rupture and the doctor basically scolded me for bothering them with it. It still hurts every few weeks even though its been years.
Seek a second opinion if you are recommended a surgery. 10 years ago I was told I have a 50mm cyst and I was immediately told I need surgery and my ovary would burst. I am so glad I left the hospital and went to see another doc the next day. They prescribed me birth control and the cyst was gone in 2 months.
For over 20 years I was in constant pain I was back and forth to the doctors I was diagnosed for years then I was told I had pcos and endometriosis anyway I was told it’s not dangerous and was sent on my Merry way, but as the years past the pains got worse and worse I was constantly told it’s just constipation because I’m thin so I was sent for more test and was told i have diverticulitis so nothing was done and the pains constantly consisted then I started losing weight as when I would eat a mouthful of food I’d be full up then I started being sick every day for about two years, so I go back to the doctors and told them that the pain is just constantly there she said it’s most probably just poo as she could feel a lump in my tummy then she said it was just constipation so I lied and said I had been a poo twice in the morning I hadn’t so I was sent for a scan and blood tests my blood markers came back really high and in the scan I was told my ovary was 72 mm big , my mum said so what does that mean the nurse said well it’s supposed to be about 30 mm. So then the nurse left the room and came back in with loads of doctors they was looking at the images on the scan and I was told to get dressed and wait so we did I was then taken into a room and told I will need surgery to remove this cyst. Within a few days I was called back to the hospital and taken to the McMillan department then told that they suspected it was a chocolate ovarian cancer cyst I was given a big green McMillan diary with loads of information and to try not to worry. I came home expecting to have surgery at my local hospital but no I was sent to st Thomas I was taken into the cancer department and was explained everything that will happen and was booked in for a operation in a few months time then a few days later I get a call from my mum saying the hospital have rang and there has been a cancellation and my operation is in two days time so the day came we all went to the hospital I got settled in for the morning surgery and on the way down to the operating room I said lucky there was a cancellation the doctors said there wasn’t a cancellation we needed to get you into surgery ASAP as it could rupture at any time so my mum fibbed because she didn’t want to scare me. I had a twelve hour operation to remove my ovary, tube and lymph nodes in my tummy just in case the cancer had spread... so I’m grateful to still be alive but I wanted to know if I could claim compensation for going through this for twenty odd years and being misdiagnosed three times I mean if I hadn’t of said I’d been a toilet that day I would of just been sent home still in pain like a ticking time bomb so do I have any rights ?
Im so sorry you went thru a lot. I’m glad you stood up and was persistent about how you was feeling. Some of these doctors will not listen. You have to be your own advocate.
I didn't know I had endometriosis until last year when a 25cm endometrioma ruptured at the age of 24. I was rushed to the ER and had an emergency surgery where the surgeon drained the cyst and removed the right ovary and tube it was attached to. It was the worst pain I've ever felt and I really felt I was dying. I had to get two blood transfusions before my surgery because I was losing a lot of blood, and I got sepsis. Unfortunately since the surgeon wasn't an endo specialist and she only drained the cyst instead of removing it, the cyst has grown back. I also found out from ultrasound I have more cysts on my left remaining ovary. Going in for surgery again this October with an expert and I hope it will be the last surgery I get in a long time. Funnily enough I didn't have much symptoms even with my giant cyst. I wish there was more awareness of this topic because I never even heard of the term endometriosis before my diagnosis, and I thought I was healthy!
@@bublysoda No I still have my left ovary. I experienced a lot of complications after surgery but it's probably because it was an emergency situation and I was septic, not due to the cyst getting removed.
i had an ovary torsion because of a 11cm cyst on it so it was dying slowly and it was the worst pain i ever had but no doctor believed me. they kept saying im imagining the pain and its not real, that im being overdramatic and should go back home... for a whole week..... so of course the ovary died and i lost over 10kg in 7 days. My liver back and leg pain i had before finally stopped but now its starting again....so im 100% sure i got another huge cyst on my second ovary.
I've dealt with pain every month since I was a kid. Tried birth control and dealt with uncontrollably crying for weeks. Stopped birth control because I'd rather deal with physical pain than crying all the time. Decided not to go back to any doctors because non of them actually tried to help me. " It's just normal to rythe in pain every month for a woman. "
Soo helpful! I’ve been diagnosed with complex cysts but no one ever told me what it meant. Especially because I was typically told in the ER after ruptures.
Having had many problematic cysts, most doctors passed me off until I found one that took me serious. Found out my endometrial lining was thick and this was because I’m estrogen dominant, doctor prescribed a low dairy, high fiber diet (to lower estrogen) it has made ALL the difference!
@@danieldahdah7431 Good question! To my understanding, some can process estrogen out of their body better naturally, and for others it may be more about their hormone balance (Naturally having enough progesterone to balance estrogen for example). I’m currently looking into the root cause to why my body has an issues with estrogen, but for now lowering it is helping my symptoms overall.
Hi Dr. I have serous cytadenoma. Was feeling bloated had notice changes in my bowel movement, constipation, feeling full, pressure in pelvic area similar to pain when holding per for long time & pain during intercourse. Ultrasound showed 9.1cm serous cystadenoma. Looks like clear fluid 1 possible thin wall septation . They suggested monitoring 3-6-12 months. However following the ultrasound my pain just progressively got more constant and started extending to lower back upper left and eventually right leg. I’m 26y old I’m worried of cancer because my sister was diagnosed with rare form of lung cancer at 27 (never smoked before) and it started out as a cyst that cancer had developed on top off. My mom had stomach and thyroid cancers. My aunt had mucenous boderline cystadenomas removed when she was 60 but was told boderline are more often seen in younger women. I’m worried I have some kind of family history here even tho they tell me it’s most likely not related. My doc did advise me to encourage my mom getting genetic testings. I’m worried that it seems like typically serous cystadenoma are seen in older women? I’m only 26. Also I have seen that low grade serous cystadecarcinoma which is most often seen in younger women is thought to evolve from boderline cystadenoma that formed from serous cystadenoma…. I took 125 test even though I was told it is pointless because can be false from menstruations or even certain types of ovarian cancers ( like lgsoc) don’t show up on 125. It was negative so that’s good but it won’t tell me the future. I asked if MRI OR CT scan could give more answers they said no so I don’t want to push it. I’m opting for surgery mainly because my symptoms aren’t going away and although they don’t seem to be getting sharper they do seem to be spreading and more constant. They told me for surgery they would drain the cyst in cavity with no spillage method via laparoscopy . I’m worried about contamination if pathology comes back cancer I know even though my chances are low there is still a possibility and somehow I’m skeptical because my cyst seems to be more rare at my age. They also offered laparotomy with removing ovary. PLEASE give me your opinion on my cyst. Based on my family history my aunt having had boderline cyst. My age 26 with serous cystadenoma is that common??? They won’t let me get another opinion so I’m staying whit that same gynecologist… idk what to think
Please keep me updated on what happens. I don’t have the history but am waiting for my ultrasound results and I believe I have something like a cystadenocarcinoma based off of research and what I saw on the ultrasound screen. I don’t know the path I’m going to take but I am concerned I could already have metastasis based off of some symptoms. Would love to hear your path develop.
@@Felicite-Etoile yes my results and Pap smear came back clear. Something is going on with me though. I have had a UTI I cannot clear and lots of food sensitivities suddenly. Might be a really bad gut issue.
I had a cyst rupture while I was at work and I thought I was dying, like my body was breaking inside. I couldn’t move for hours, not even an inch without being in agonizing pain. Historically I’ve always had bad periods, fibroids and cysts even though I eat mostly healthy and work out. 😕 being a woman is hard
Just been in hospital for a couple of days with a large hemorrhagic cyst on my left ovary. Also had a twisted ovary on my right but it resolved itself. Can definitely say that it’s extremely painful and being a woman is hard 🥲

Thank you so much doctor..... Thank you so much for me. I am a MBBS . And my wife is having dermoid cyst.... And your lecture really helped me. Thank you. Now it's easy for me to make a decision. 🤜🤛
A couple of months ago, an MRI detected that I had ovarian cysts. I went back to my Gyno and she wants to do a Laparoscopic Bilateral Salpingo Oophorectomy on me because she told me that there’s an 8cm cyst is on both sides of both ovaries and she wants to remove both ovaries and both Fallopian tubes. I told her that one of my sisters just finished chemo and radiation because of ovarian cancer. She said my surgery will prob be in Feb but it’s already the middle of March. It’s been 6 weeks since I’ve had my laparoscopic gallbladder removal surgery (Jan 25,2022). I just turned 57 (Nov 18,1964).
I currently have one that’s 29x27x16cm on my right ovary. It will be removed in a week!! I’ve had excruciating back pain for a while now. So glad it’s finally coming to a close!!!
I wish I could find a doctor like you thank you for all your videos you have helped me a lot and I really appreciate you ❤️ I have one now and went to the hospital because I was hurting and they said it was a bad pregnancy which ended in a loss of my baby now I'm trying to figure out why I got it and what happened because they didn't explain anything so thank you so much for this video and I I'm going to try and figure everything else out so me and my husband can make our rainbow baby 🌈
Thank you for this information, it can be so tempting to ignore all the symptoms listed at 11:49 even with family history 🫤 glad I’m getting my ovarian cyst and pelvic dysfunction checked out
I am laying in the bed now with pain so bad from one bursting yesterday morning. I can hardly walk. My sister drove me to my OB an hour away because I didn't know what was wrong with me. I had a hysterectomy in 2022 because my uterus was full of huge fibroids. So they did the ultrasound today and said I have a lot of fluid around my left ovary so a cyst ruptured and I am OK. But my Gawd the pain! I am already on pain medication due to RA and Lupus and this pain.. Holy shite! Doctors here have to give women that have these pain meds stronger than Tylenol and IBUPROFEN. It is excruciating pain!
I had a functional cyst on my ovary during my pregnancy. GOD that hurt. That was in my mid 20’s. Now that I’m in my late 30’s I JUST had a laparoscopy to remove an extremely large functional cyst that would not go away after years of keeping an eye on it every three months and birth control and horrible periods, adeno diagnosis and weird heavy painful periods for weeks. Now it’s the day after surgery to remove it and I just realized that THAT SPECIFIC always there pain… is gone. I’m in so much other pain but the cyst … gone.
My 18 year old daughter just had ovary torsion because of a 10cm cyst. They removed her ovary and fallopian tube. Let's stop shoving this cysts are not dangerous bs down everyone's throat.
I just recently went to the ER for something else and was diagnosed with Ovarian Cysts and one on each side. I have to go back to see exactly where they're growing and how big they are.
This is helpful. I don't think my pain was taken seriously. My doctor put me on birth control, said my pain was probably a cyst and I have PMDD but sent me on my way with no other investigation. Now the pain is much more prominent than before and I feel very brushed off. 😮💨
This happened to me, I was told it was small and normal. I was crying on the floor for 3 months, I was cramping and bleeding after going on 10 minute walks and I'm still scared to start exercising again, I was gaslight entirely I'm sorry but no that isn't normal to bleed and like that after exercising and to have two periods each month.
I recall some years ago on my thirties I had developed a pin head cyst on 1 of my ovaries. I didn't know why I was spotting cuz my regular cycle was always firm/ solid 28-30 days Come to find out I had a " pin head" cyst" on my ovarie, and she told me the spotting should go away. And it did. Fast fwd 10 years. I had them catscans, the long wand inserted, and was suggested I have it out but I just been living with it. Some days it's fine, it comes & goes Great video
Thank you for the information. Any information on Fallopian tube cyst? My partner is 8 weeks 4 days. OBGYN said not to worry but we will keep an eye on it.
Thank you for this video. I had a 7lb ovarian cyst at 13 which was a medical emergency. Because I’m overweight the first symptom I had was excruciating pain. Luckily non cancerous but they had to remove the ovary to get it out safely (plus my appendix as they were in there anyway!) this is the first real explanation I’ve had about why or how this happened and I’m 22 now. I think mine was a simple cyst.
My daughter was told she has a 4cm cyst next to her ovaries but not on her ovaries.. She has no symptoms or pain.. My daughter found out about the cyst when she went to the ER for food poisoning and they did a CT scan on her.. I'm so worried now..
Today I spend 12 hours of my life in a hospital with the worst atención to patient. But I just find out that I have a cysts in my right Ovary . The worst pain pelvic ever. But hopefully trading ourselves the way we supposed to treat ourselves with this type of health issue is key-EXELLENT EXPLANATION ❤ and the name of the creator yahua 🙏💚🙏 we al be safe
I had a dermoid cyst, learned when I went in to get an ultrasound by my Dr. a week later he had come back to get another ultrasound by the ultrasound tech because the Dr thought he seen another sac. Come to found out I had dermoid cyst in my left ovary. They was afraid of it growing with my pregnancy, so when I was 3 month’s pregnant I had surgery to have my left ovary removed.
Same. I actually had a crying spell just scared couldnt even watch all of the video only bits n pieces. I have a 7cm dermoid cyst and I'm 8 weeks pregnant. A specialist next week will give me a fresh look if I need laparoscopic surgery or not likely yes. Supposevly safe surgery for baby tho. But scared that what if its cancer and also scared what if they have to remove 1 or both ovaries. I'm just horrified and scared that instead of announcing to my family that I'm pregnant that what if I have to say I'm dying instead. Just in an emotional scared place
One time (and it was the first time I learned I had these) when I was 16, the cyst was so bad I collapsed and couldn't walk. Went away with my next cycle. Since then I kept denying birth control because I was afraid of it until my 20's. I probably would have been better off if I had started that sooner.
I have tight work pants and when they started forming I ended up having to go home with really bad fever symptoms and pain down there, I've been diagnosed with pcos years ago but it's almost like the NHS are trained to completely avoid doing their jobs, been trying to get help for 6 months and not recieved one bit of help, havent even been given painkillers, I told them I will kill myself if I have to suffer with this forever and they're still pissing around, I feel like killing myself anyway, work myself to death just to get taxed and barely get by and not when my tax money is recognised, I genuinely believe population control is going on now, how could so many people be so heartless and careless when I'm crying in agony
I’ve had cysts basically since I started having cycles. In 2014 I started having abdominal pain that grew worse as the hours passed. I came home from working second shift and could hardly walk at that point so I went to bed, hoping it would be better in the morning. A few hours later the pain was so severe that I was crying and literally could not move at all. My husband helped me get dressed and we went to the ER. After HOURS of writhing and moaning in pain as multiple tests were conducted, they finally determined that I had internal bleeding from a ruptured cyst and needed emergency surgery. I had blood around my liver and spleen and that was the MOST excruciating pain I’ve ever felt. I couldn’t lie flat and I couldn’t even move to take my clothes off and put a hospital gown on in the OR. They had to wait to change me until I had some anesthesia. Recovery was smooth and although I had painful cysts numerous times after that, I’m fortunate enough to have avoided another hemorrhagic one.
I had a partial hysterectomy, five years ago due to endometriosis. Now I have my ovaries left and I’ve been having pain on my right pelvic area along with lower back pain. I went today for a ultrasound a transvaginal ultrasound. It was so painful I felt so nauseated. I thought I was gonna get sick right there. I hope I don’t need another surgery but we’ll see what they say.
I didn't know ovarian cysts were a thing until last year when i woke up one day with unbearable pain and had to be taken to the hospital immediately. No one took my pain seriously. I got told by many doctors that it's normal to have "periodpain" and fhat I'm overreacting since I'm still in puberty. I threw up all the meds i received and nothing helped until i went through proper treatment and had to go through surgery. It turned out that i had a 15 centimeters long cyst inside me. Now I'm forever afraid of cysts 😅
Thank you doctor Crawford 😄 could you please do a video about what yearly checks should females have? I live in South America and I don’t know what types of preventative tests I should get or need. Please help
I had 6.5cm endometrioma a year back - most excruciating pain so I feel for anyone out there with the same cyst! Interestingly enough pain started in my lower back next to hip joint, so thought my sciatica flared up. A woman's body is such a complex creation! Read a study that seaweed does indeed help with edometriosis (my thyroid under functioning as turned out later) - ate huge amounts for 3 weeks before it shrunk!
I just recently got diagnosed with a 7 cm cyst had my scheduled surgery on the 23rd of this month a day befor thanksgiving and they canceled with no further date have to wait until December if they even have room I am in so much pain there’s time I can’t even walk of how bad the pain is I don’t know what to do I asked to transfer to a different Dr and all they said is I need to Start all over 😢
I suffer from endometriosis and pcos and because it’s so much fun I have a rare disability where I can’t get any surgery so I’m just here living with the pain I hate this I wish doctors would make more research on a cure
I'm sorry. Please check out Dr Berg here on TH-cam. He has great videos on how to help pcos and endometriosis through nutrition, natural supplements, herbs, vitamins, minerals, etc. Big hugs to you.❤
Since surgery is a no, I hope you are on a good diet for endo and pcos. Taking care of yourself, no junk food or GMOs, is the way to help alleviate some (in some cases, most) issues we face. Look into Iodine deficiency as well.
I developed a 7cm ovarian corpus luteum hemorrhagic cyst in the course of a week after finding out I was pregnant. It ruptured and I was in severe pain for internally bleeding. After one night on observation they decided to let me just go home as the bleeding stopped. Over the next couple months my doctor really minimalists the risks of the cyst and took a very laissez faire approach to it for three months (not even seeing me in office) until it blew up into a 16cm cyst in Nov and I was at risk of losing my ovary and compromising my fertility. I didn’t lose the ovary but it’s severely compromised, and there’s still a cystic component left in there. Even after the surgery, the adhesions, the hormone changes, she made it seem like I was being dramatic because I was having night sweats and my body was so different. It still is two months later. I’m not the same. Gone are my uneventful normal periods. Every twinge I feel in the my right (good) ovary I freak out because I don’t want to lose that one as well. I’m only 26 and I can’t have a kid right now and I don’t want to lose that ability or have anymore surgeries.
I don't know if i had cysts or not in the past, but before i went on birth control 8 years ago, my period pains were awful to put it mildly. First of all i didn't have period pains only when i was on my period, but 3 out of 4 weeks. And my period pains have always gotten worse when being active, so doing anything more active than walking regularly would bring on cramps pretty quickly. I has a huge absence in PE class you can imagine. When i wasn't on my period the cramp were bad but i could still stand up right at least. But the silliest strains to my body would cause my cramps to be triggered. Too tight pants, jogging 10 meters to the bus, playing a dumb, mildly intense game on my phone?? Cramps. When i was on my period however, my cramps were excruciating. Every time, the first few days of my cycle, i could barely stand up if at all, and I would vomit and faint. Really scary sometimes depending on where i was. And i always had to take pain meds 10-15 minutes before going to the toilet because something as simple as peeing would trigger a new session of cramps. If i took meds before going and letting them take effect i'd get off easy and just have a bit of mild cramping that didn't last too long. I didn't bleed excessively much. I bled more when i was in my pre teens. My worst cramps where in my teen years. And i was never encouraged to get checked at the doctor through any of this. Cramps were normal right. Some have very little cramps and some have a lot. It wasn't until my school absence was getting too high my mom suggested we make a doctors appointment. At the time i felt very understood and heard as my doctor actually seemed to know exactly what i was going through when she reaffirmed what i was dealing with. She put me on birth control right away and they absolutely worked for my problem. I still have cramps 8 years later, but they are bearable and they don't last more than 1 week now. Again, i felt very heard especially because my problem was "solved". But i wonder why they never checked me for anything like ovarian cysts or anything else. It's only now that i can look back at it that i see what i was dealing with was not acceptable. I was just lucky with the birth control and i'm still scared to stop using them cause i never wanna feel that pain again. Makes me wonder if i was dealing with something at the time that would have actually required more serious medical help than what i got, and that i might have just suppressed something that can reappear in the future. Maybe even worse. If anyone can relate or have some answers i'd love to hear! ♥

My friend had a cyst the size of a volleyball
Thnk u for sharing your stories
I hope u are ok now
God bless
Thank you for sharing this with the public. I commend you for fighting. Thank you for your kind words
I understand your pain. I’m currently in agony and can’t decide what to do. Just miserable.

I had my first hemorrhagic cyst recently and still dealing with it and I was so worried but this video helped me understand this so much more and ease my worries about it.
Same here.
How r u now is it resolved on its own
Same here, was in the hospital for my first hemorrhagic cyst and the pain was horrible, really scared me.
Did surgery hurt?

Me too I lost my 1st baby and I feel for you. Sending you love

I'm scared I ain't gonna lie. I'm so scared
Excess estrogen from the hormones. Makes perfect sense.

At least not nearly as much as I've been eating!

when I was 16 my doctor diagnosed me with pcos after I switched my birth control pill. he told me that it would be hard for me to get pregnant and I was in shock. He prescribed me the regular pill again. 2 years ago I switched to another OB/GYN and he told me that those were probably functional cysts because I switched to an estrogen free pill. I no longer take any hormones and have a regular cycle so I probably won't have any problems to conceive ❤️

Oh gosh! Definitely sounds like you did the right thing!!
Was it a complex cyst and did it grow quickly?
Mine raptured and I had to undergo surgery ....it was damn painfull but after surgery I felt relief
mine was 11 cm i had so much pain but no doctor believed me so my ovary died from ovary torsion....
What a relief...thanks for sharing this!!!
Thank you for this professional explanation and much needed relieving message.
Thank you so much you have helped me a lot in understanding what I’m going through, this has been very informative thanks again ☺️
Glad it was helpful!
This was so helpful❤️
I wish there was more awareness of this topic because I never even heard of the term endometriosis before my diagnosis, and I thought I was healthy!
i wish you a big patience,i hope your surgery went well
I hope it all went well. Did you experience any side effects after having the cysts removed? Did they remove the left ovary this time? Thank you.

Update
Having had many problematic cysts, most doctors passed me off until I found one that took me serious. Found out my endometrial lining was thick and this was because I’m estrogen dominant, doctor prescribed a low dairy, high fiber diet (to lower estrogen) it has made ALL the difference!
Hey what are some of the things that you ate while on that diet?
@@keillanhadden798 I ate mostly a vegan diet! Of course lots of fruits/veggies and heavy on beans and shredded wheat/Triscuits if that helps!
YOu're the second person that said low dairy helps. What about those ladies that have dairy and no problems. What is it they have that others don't?
@@danieldahdah7431 Good question! To my understanding, some can process estrogen out of their body better naturally, and for others it may be more about their hormone balance (Naturally having enough progesterone to balance estrogen for example). I’m currently looking into the root cause to why my body has an issues with estrogen, but for now lowering it is helping my symptoms overall.
@@rockintennis, Why are you looking into the root cause, and do you think many women would be interested in knowing that answer?
I used to get mittelschmerz. It was not fun. Thankfully I'm menopausal finally. I had roughly 41 years of periods.

This is helpful I just had erupted cyst for the first time so painful 😖 follow up in 3-4 months
Hi Dr. Crawford. I wonder if you could do a video on cysts in an IVF start and what all the possible options are going forward?
im from pakistan and i really like u .ur explanation is very very clearim also suffering from complex cyst
Thank you 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I recall some years ago on my thirties I had developed a pin head cyst on 1 of my ovaries. I didn't know why I was spotting cuz my regular cycle was always firm/ solid 28-30 days
Come to find out I had a " pin head" cyst" on my ovarie, and she told me the spotting should go away. And it did.
Fast fwd 10 years.
I had them catscans, the long wand inserted, and was suggested I have it out but I just been living with it. Some days it's fine, it comes & goes
Great video
Thank you for the information. Any information on Fallopian tube cyst? My partner is 8 weeks 4 days. OBGYN said not to worry but we will keep an eye on it.
Thank you for this in depth video. 😊
Glad it was helpful!
She is just great 😊
Thank you for this video.
So glad this was helpful!!
Are you still able to have babies
My daughter was told she has a 4cm cyst next to her ovaries but not on her ovaries.. She has no symptoms or pain.. My daughter found out about the cyst when she went to the ER for food poisoning and they did a CT scan on her.. I'm so worried now..
How is now

Hello! I would love if you can make a video talking about uterine polyps and infertility… 😊
Can a complex cyst go away on its own?
I had a dermoid cyst, learned when I went in to get an ultrasound by my Dr. a week later he had come back to get another ultrasound by the ultrasound tech because the Dr thought he seen another sac. Come to found out I had dermoid cyst in my left ovary. They was afraid of it growing with my pregnancy, so when I was 3 month’s pregnant I had surgery to have my left ovary removed.
Well this scared the shit out of me.
Tanya, you have to do what you have to do. All the very best!
Are you on meds?
Update
Can u provide us with an update please? Thanks ☺️
Please help
DR RAPOPORT HERBAL on TH-cam is truly a blessing from God to my family. my ovarian cyst is gone forever... you are the best...... 😊
How it can go away
Pls do a video on fibroids in uterus
I just recently got diagnosed with a 7 cm cyst had my scheduled surgery on the 23rd of this month a day befor thanksgiving and they canceled with no further date have to wait until December if they even have room I am in so much pain there’s time I can’t even walk of how bad the pain is I don’t know what to do I asked to transfer to a different Dr and all they said is I need to Start all over 😢

I just found out that I have two small ovarian cysts people said do not worry they will go away
What about fibroids?
Hi dr i hop you are fine
I suffer from endometriosis and pcos and because it’s so much fun I have a rare disability where I can’t get any surgery so I’m just here living with the pain I hate this I wish doctors would make more research on a cure
I'm sorry. Please check out Dr Berg here on TH-cam. He has great videos on how to help pcos and endometriosis through nutrition, natural supplements, herbs, vitamins, minerals, etc. Big hugs to you.❤
Special appreciation to Dr ALUDA for shrinking my ovarian cyst with his herbal medicine.
@@sunshine9122 thank you 🙏 💕
Since surgery is a no, I hope you are on a good diet for endo and pcos.
I’m so sorry!!!!
@@NatalieCrawfordMD What is the maximum number of cyst?
You said that first it got ruptured and then it became bigger? It's confusing.
What happened to the baby.
Were you able to have the baby?
Can you make a video on anovulation? I don't think it was in this video.
Yes!!
Does ivf cause ovarian cysts. Thanks for the infos ❤
Clomid does
