I just try and show how I made a item with the tools that are in my shop. Hopefully others will use some of the basic ideas for their own projects. Thanks for watching my videos.
You said that using a CNC doesn't really feel like woodworking. I bet our Grandfathers said the same thing when power drills and power saws became available outside of industrial applications.
Do you have a video of the CNC router where you unpack, setup and review? I really like it and think it might be a good small business opportunity for retirement. Thanks
No. There's a video about building it from stuff I had laying around but last year I built a new one that is larger. CNC is definitely a moneymaker if you market it right. Thanks for watching.
How much clearance did you end up with on the dado thickness and depth? I want the drawers to slide easily, but not so loose that they slop around, or get in a bind.
No real shop tour, Just some basic tools. I get involved in many different type of projects and hope you can fond some videos with ideas that you can use. Thanks for watching and subscribing.
Beautiful work, and some very clever toys to make small cabinetry easy and fun. Very impressive. I use a similar peg board jig system to make stained glass.
I am learning that if every tool or accessory has a place to store it, I will be able to find it when needed. Little easy to make cabinets like this are worth making. Thanks for watching.
Nicely done and good looking too. I was surprised how much better the ash looked when the finish went on. I buy a lot of blades at auction and have never had a decent storage solution. Adding this to my summer build list! I'll add the video to my channel when I do it.
Nicely done. I'm working on a kitchen corner bench right now for my daughter but this blade storage cabinet will be my next build. Instead of milling via CNC I'll drill a hole so I have a way to push the blade up. Probably use a dowel to center the blade on the shelf. I like the cork, color coordination is great. Yea, mahogany sides with dovetails, plywood shelves and walnut handles.
It is very simple construction that is easy to adapt to the material you have available and number of blades. For the trays it would be easy to make a router template and use a flush trim bit. All I have growing in my yard are ash, walnut, & maple so that is what I use for all my projects . It is nice to have the blades stored safely next to the saw. The cork cuts great with a router and it would be easy to follow a template. I used the slots so there would be some airflow in the cabinet. Thanks for watching. Post a video of how yours comes out.
Please keep doing what you do. I get alot of good ideas from watching your video's. I like how you explain things, it helps me understand - not just entertain alone. What can you tell us about your CNC router?
I made it from some old scrap parts I had laying around. There are a couple of videos on my channel about the build. It is a very handy tool to have in the shop. Thanks for watching my videos
The final spacing is 9/16" from the bottom of one to the bottom of the next one up. It is great to have a good way to store and protect blades that did not take too long to make. Thanks for watching my video.
Wow! That is both art and functional! Beautiful work. You should be very proud of that. That's an heirloom piece for sure. Very impressive. Thank you for sharing it!
Any woodworker could do the same thing with a router and template. I use a cnc router, plasma table, and 3d printer in most of my videos so you may want to find a different channel.
Good video. I've been looking for ideas for saw blade storage. I like very much your design of the handle for each tray. Grabbing it from the sides rather than top and bottom is a bit clever, and the angle on the front to make for easier reading the label, I think I'll use both of those ideas. Thanks for sharing.
Ed, I've been enjoying watching your videos. You do a great job of explaining each process, step by step. Thank you very much. Kindest regards, Keith

Thanks. I am just trying to share ideas of what I go through trying to become more self sufficent. Thanks for watching my videos.
Very Nice. Pro Build. Mine's on a big metal stand. Always in the way. I believe i should do the same. Gotta check out your CNC i guess.
you could even cut parts like this with a laser now. Thanks for watching.
What a great video. I love the use of the cork for protection the carbide tips, good stuff. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks. It has been aa great way to store the blades. Thanks for watching.

That's a good point. Thanks for watching.

That’s nice looking ash! Great cabinet. It must feel good to have your blades organized 👍
It definitely help keep the blade organized and keeps them from banging against each other like they did stacked in a drawer. Thanks for watching.
How much clearance did you end up with on the dado thickness and depth? I want the drawers to slide easily, but not so loose that they slop around, or get in a bind.
There's about 1/32 on the slot and twice that on the width. The plywood is fairly stable. Thanks for watching.
Just subscribed from the UK and going through all your videos. Have you done a shop tour, as I always enjoy seeing and getting hints?
No real shop tour, Just some basic tools. I get involved in many different type of projects and hope you can fond some videos with ideas that you can use. Thanks for watching and subscribing.
Best blade storage solution I've seen and well thought out. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks. I am very happy with it. Thank you for watching my videos.

No video, pretty much all the tools are shown in the video. Thanks for watching.

This has worked great so far. I hate the water base poly, but at least it does not stink up the shop. Thanks for watching.
Very nice piece, looks like something you would see in a store!
Thanks. It is a great way to store the blades. Thanks for watching.

🤔🤓😀
Very nice. Almost too nice for a shop project. What was your final spacing between the shelves? BTW your video and voice-over is very well done.
The final spacing is 9/16" from the bottom of one to the bottom of the next one up. It is great to have a good way to store and protect blades that did not take too long to make. Thanks for watching my video.
You are an amazing person!
Thanks for watching.

Thanks it has helped keep the blades organized and eliminated chips in the carbide. Thanks for watching my video.
Good job. A lot of details in that cabinet.
It was definitely worth building. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the useful Idea.
This one will definitely make the blades stay sharper longer. Thanks for watching.

Nice Job Ed. Gotta love those CNC routers.
Thanks. They make multiples easy to make. Thanks for watching.
As soon as I seen the cnc machine that's where I stoped watching, 0:30 into the video.
Any woodworker could do the same thing with a router and template. I use a cnc router, plasma table, and 3d printer in most of my videos so you may want to find a different channel.
Well, you missed out. I am making a similar cabinet, using jigsaw, sander and router with flush trim bit.
you are a very talent man, thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching my video.
Great little piece of functional art.
Thanks for watching.
Really nice job man!!👍👍
Thanks. With the price of blades lately, I needed a good way to protect them. Thanks for watching.
Neat video

So awesome! Great work and the detail is impressive.
Thanks. It makes the blades easy to find. Thanks for watching.

It was the only way to keep the blade spacing as small as possible. It is so easy to keep track of the blades now. Thanks for watching.
