I bought one too. I did fret work, pressed frets in, put tungoil on the fretboard. The fretboard is composite. I replaced the bridge pickup and am waiting on the neck and middle and wiring. I will make a video on my experience at some point. I ordered direct from the asmuse website, I paid like $140.
@arichi8936 actually, Jamstik licensed the shape from ALP, and Asmuse did import work for ALP for a while. The Leaf 200, the guitar the shape is based on, is much better than this one though.

Wow, I love these reviews. Nicely done by all means. thanks bro. I have a headless from Amazon, it’s called an “Eart” guitar. it has this EXACT same bridge and I can say from owning this little guy for a while, it’s not a bad bridge but with mine is has intonation problems constantly, so I can imagine these cheaper headless all suffer from this issue.
Tuning could be the springs. Some builders recommend certain gauge strings based on the size and strength of the springs in the Trem. So using the wrong gauge will over/under stress the spring. Causing it to drop tune.
Frets are sticking out because of guitar being made in Asia, moisture content there is massive. When it ships to the western countries they shrink big time. So you end up with sticking out frets. I have dealt with that in epiphones, schecters, jacksons, ibanezes. Sometimes frets start to pop out in the winter when heating season is on, very dry air. I had a lot of sticks what were made in India, Vietnam, china +- same things that bigger brands have.
The best cheap guitar I have is my Schecter Damien V, which I bought for $199, many years ago. It was cheap for two reasons. It was a B-stock, minor little paint oopsie, and it was on sale. I still play it to this day. The neck is fantastic, falling bat inlays for extra speed, and it came with passive EMG's, which are actually great. Overall, it was a steal for $199, during an after Xmas sale.
I never liked Schecters, but that was based off my experience with them in the 00's. I've since tried a keith merrow and their (slimline?) series... They've definitely come a long way, and I probably need to try them again.
@@TaylorDanleyThey will definitely surprise you. The necks are just fantastic, it's what sold me on my el cheapo V. It needed no setup. The intonation was even spot on. I've played some of Schecter's more mid price range and high end guitars, and they're incredible. I would rate them right up there with a pricey ESP, but at a fraction of the cost. The durability of a Schecter is also impressive. Quick story, shortly after I bought my V, I fell on it after playing one night. I snapped the bolt on neck right out of neck joint, stripped one screws out. I thought it was past saving. But to my surprise, and with some wood filler in the stripped screw hole, the neck bolted right back on with no issues. It wasn't twisted, warped or anything. It tuned right up, and the intonation was only slightly off on the G string. In summary, my cheap workhorse V gets the job done, and I don't have to worry about one of my vastly more expensive guitars getting stolen, or worse at a gig.

@@TaylorDanley Awesome! That was one of the cheapest SG I found and I consider it for something for travel to not move my main gear. It would be interesting to see it in the Devil's Tune
I have never expected these inexpensive guitars to be perfect. I can fix these issues like fret sprout and frets that are not level etc. The bridge being crooked is a bigger issue and I have seen this on several inexpensive guitars and a couple higher end models. I have worked on several guitars with this issue it can be a big problem. I collect guitars and love finding inexpensive guitars one that stand out from the others. I usually buy preowned stuff as a rule So far I never regretted a purchase because I can tweak them with a little work. Last week I got a Leo Jaymz - Monsoon and it blew me away! The quality for $230.00/250 shipped to my door the guitar is a steal at the price IMO. I will be buying another. I checked and you haven't tried one yet. I was looking for an inexpensive headless 8 string guitar with fan frets but none looked that appealing at the time.
Nor I, but advertising to beginners and handing them something that feels like barb wire is pretty rude IMO. Almost every other budget guitar I've tried doesn't have the same issue! But I think if you really like it, are willing to put in the work, it's fine... I just don't think it should say beginner in the listing.
There's a headless guitar here in the Philippines that's made it look like a strandberg and it's cheap you should check it out it's called Luxars S-G62

I'm sure the headless system is good, I think I just need more time to understand it. When a restrang (strung? whatever...) the guitar, I don't think I gave it enough excess string to lock it down... Since there's no angle to lock it in place, my assumption is you need to have excess string to hold it down... if that makes sense.
