In 1975 Jackie Wilson had a heart attack while performing on stage at a small theater in NJ. He collapsed into a coma suffering severe brain damage. When Elvis learned of this he immediately sent a check to pay for Jackie’s hospital expenses and medical bills.
Not true, but Elvis and Jackie admired each other. I know from someone who was at the hospital that Elvis sent a dozens of pale-colored roses to Jackie’s bedside when Jackie was shot at the height of his career. One of the bullets was too close to his spine for surgeons to remove, and Jackie, who lost a kidney, lived with that bullet for the rest of his life.
I remember seeing clips of him when I was around 7 or 8 in like 1990... Not realizing that these were infact older videos and I fell absolutely in love with Him... omggg I swooned.. I was over the moon... And I would listen to his records and just stare at his pictures on the cover... Soon I was told that he had infact passed years before... I WAS DEVASTATED!!!!!!
