I totally agree with Sara, when a book makes me feel emotion, I know it’s going to be a fav.
MP made me want to throw the book across the room and I could just feel my heart breaking inside me reading it. I think in real life I’m quite emotionless so I love reading to feel something… does that sound weird?
As soon as I finished MP I immediately wanted to pick it back up again so you know like yeah, that’s a fav.
Omg I do the same thing, I read to feel and I’m pretty neutral irl but I let myself feel everything while reading.

AGGGTM - The author is British and the original series is based in the UK, had no idea at first that they then released it in the US changing the location to the US and taking out some British slang/jokes. I literally always wondered whenever I had booktubers from the US talked about it and never mentioned it was in the UK and never mentioned like A levels ( thought would be asking what they were etc) makes a lot more sense now. I think it would have been fine for the US to read the UK version I don’t think it would have been hard to understand at all

des i knew you were gonna say happy place for the book that affected you and for the adaptation to a movie/show i said addicted too and i kinda knew you were gonna say it ( ive only read the first book of the whole series btw )!!
Since the original A Good Girls Guide to Murder is the UK version and the show is being produced by BBC, it’ll definitely be set in the UK! I remember reading the US version and noticing a few little grammar things that were off and then realized it was changed to be more relatable to American audiences! None of the plot is really different, just slang and culture that Americans wouldn’t recognize!

AGGTM - I’m British and for me the book took place in little kilton and they were doing they’re a levels and I think there were jokes that would only make sense in the British version of the book but I don’t know I didn’t read the American one - also the casting was soo on point !!!
I'm norwegian, but I read the british version as well and I had no idea the book was different in the us until I watched this ep and later saw a tiktok about how a lot of the british words and jokes have been cut out or changed in the us version on top of the location being different.
Since the tv series is being made by the bbc, I'm assuming it'll be based on the british version and I'm intrigued to see how americans complain about it not being the same as the book they read

I loved this episode so much, just as much as the others! I would absolutely love to maybe hear you guys talk about the books you could not live without. Like if you had to pick a certain amount of books to save with you and keep forever and get rid of all of the others, what would those be? It doesn’t matter if it’s 5 to 20 books you choose, I would just love to hear your thoughts.

I DO NOT recommend Haunting Adeline, I felt so disgusted, disturbed and triggered while reading it, I genuinely don't understand why so many people love it, to each their own I guess.
I really want to get a tattoo that says 'I will not yield, I will not be afraid', from throne of glass. I LOVE THE TOG SERIES. But also, I can relate to the quote and it would be a great reminder that I can survive!

don't get me wrong I love the book content but I also love your personalities and could listen to you both talk for hours about anything so I know I would personally love to hear content other than books on the podcast! I feel like if you guys discussed random topics (the way you already do) like maybe storytimes or advice sessions, it would be really cool and help make the podcast separate from your channels :) just some ideas obviously!!
