My wife and I have a 4 year old German Shepherd named Riggs. Riggs and I have been watching your videos since he was a puppy during the pandemic. Riggs would always perk up and watch the TV when Chip would come on screen. We will really miss seeing Chip. Sorry for your loss, man. I can’t imagine.
"We're gonna hit the bank and then go home" (punches the ground) 😂 Me and my brother do that kind of stuff all the time. Another beautiful bait! Great work!
My wife and I recently and unexpectedly lost our bulldog that we raised from the time he fit in my hand. It don't ever get easier man. Chip will be forever missed. Thanks for sharing him with us
We loved chip. My last dog was Steve he was a lurcher Staffie cross. He lived to 21yrs. It was terribly traumatic losing him even though we knew it coming for a while. I haven't had the heart to get another dog just yet even after a couple of years.. My adult son is at home and has lovely grey frenchie. He is an absolute nutball. Or he's asleep, lol.
@@joshuarayne1676 our Trooper was n olde and unlike any dog I've ever had. He was a gentle giant couch potato that could be physical if need be. He loved to ruff house with me since he was a pup well into his adulthood but not with momma. At 18 to 20 inches tall at the shoulder and right at 100lbs at his peak he was definitely " heavy duty".
My wife would give him a pack of lunch meat or something like that and tell him take this to daddy. And he would bring whatever it was to me wherever I was and drop it at my feet. Lol of course you got to give em a piece after that.
@@nospoon4799we’ve got a frenchie too and same thing man! Absolute nut bar she is!! Only 20lbs and she tears apart bully sized toys. Plays hours on hours then hits the sack like she pays the bills!! Haha
Great example of getting back at it. I know how hard it is to lose a pet and lost mine the same day your Chip video came out which helped me feel a lot better knowing it’s not just me.
Hi I broke my back in Nov 23 now I'm in a wheelchair, ive watched you from the beginning, i even remember the wooden fishing reel. Respect from Scotland ♿️
Question of the day. When are we gettin a Marling Baits playlist on Apple Music? Your background garage music sounds exceptional. There’s a few songs here and there I recognize but I think we need a playlist of your favs.
This guy makes stuff I haven’t seen since my great grandpas tackle box. I love your channel man! Makes me relive some very old memories of fishing with him. Keep it up
I have been watching you for many moons now, so much so I've lost track. Have learned a great amount from your videos and over the last six years have slowly acquired tools, lead pot (sometimes I forget to plug it in early, the suck). I've made baits from very basic chunkers that look cartoony to small finesse baits. I've experienced going to the river and the bait does nothing or you lose it in the first few casts and you forgot to make a master to copy it. Just wanted to take a minute and thank you for years of educational videos. I have prototypes out to friends, I'll be making an LLC soon and giving this a go, largely inspired by you!
Love from California! May chip be in a field of strawberries 🙏🏼 love your content been watching for a long time and started pouring my own baits. Thank you for everything and providing so much great content and inspiring people to get out and fish with their own baits :)
I feel that your outro is ingenious. Just a little 8-10 second set of funny sounding bits you do through the video. It’s literally one of your best ideas in video editing. If I ever did that in a video, I feel like I would owe you royalties. I don’t know if I can recall that anywhere else.
ACTION CITY BABY, good stuff Nate sorry bout chip pal , been watching for years and chip was the mascot of the show but life goes on and hell live on in the memory of tons of us subscribers and fans much love bud!!
As a general artist and crafter, I feel like you haven’t yet explored the beauty of Q-tips for minor mistakes. I keep a jar of them on hand in my craft room for occasions like the accidental lip painting. More absorbent than a finger, more precise than a paper towel. Love the action on this one!!
Hello man. New into your channel and new into lure fishing after 20 something years deep into Fly Only Fishing. Amazed to see how admired and loved are you and have such a great creation. What a move!! that one on a bigger, red-white version would be a killer on the sea. God bless you. Cheers from Colombia. Bye.
What a clever take on “jointed.” Kinda has blade bait vibes. That bait looked better than the fishing was for you this day but I am happy to see some water back in the rivers. And bowfin! Rad.
It's hard to have to remember them for longer than you've known them. We may have lost chip to the big strawberry patch in the sky but he will be remembered in TH-cam forever as being the gooooodeseted dog every
I've been watching your videos for years. First time commenting, just wanted to say I'm really sorry about chip. Losing a dog is almost worse than a human. Rip chip
Hey! I love you videos, and I watched the one where you built the block of wood lure! I have a fishing channel so I decided to try it, I just wanted to say thank you for the inspiration! Keep up the great videos!
I just got back from South America fly fishing for Arapaima. I think it would be really cool if you made one of your huge swim baits after them. They got a unique body and crazy colors! Or an arawana/peacock bass
i would love to see you try some of the turbodork paints, the color shift/pearls they have are pretty crazy, im sure you would have some fun with them!
Awesome action on this bait! I would love to see you refine this overall design even further! I bet if it wasn't spawning season and the fish were chasing bait, you would catch way more fish with it. I hope you bust out this bait again the next time you catch up on baitligations. Cheers Nate! Hope you and the family are recovering well!
Love your videos man and hope to one day buy one of your baits. I’d love to see you make a flowerhorn bait. I think it would be awesome they are beautiful and unique fish and I think you would do a great job with it.
Toying with idea of bait making course, usually I’d sneer at these YT “courses” but such a nice dude, hopefully it’s a good group on there! 🇬🇧 anyone else?
Hey marlin, all you need to do to make your video and test tank better is add a water pump into your tank and pump the water back into the tank, the bait can swim in place against the on coming water flow pump back into your tank and maybe put a GoPro under water watching your bait swim in place.
This is amazing! If it was tuned to be more of a slow float, you might be able to achieve a hover stroll type action with it having that much body roll. That type of presentation as a crank down with trebles would be a game changer for the FFS dudes. Amazing work!

Chip was supervising this build and gave it the good doggo blessing!

My 40th birthday and a Marling Baits video today couldn't get better.

I think about Chip every day. Nice to see you making videos, baits, and going on doing exactly what Chip would have wanted. Keep on keeping on bud.
Thanks Ring for promoting this channel, and making me open my front door...
I’ve probably left this same comment many times before but, this is my favorite paint pattern ever. Beautiful!

Another phenomenal lure!! Miss ya Chippy.
“Hit the bank over here and go home…” 😂😂😂😂
100% got me 😆
Awesome video!!! Great bait!!!
R.I.P. Chip he will always be missed… an amazing and energetic dog!!! I pay you my full respects.
This may be my favorite paint scheme/finish I’ve ever seen on a bait! Amazing work on this one!
I love your out of the box thinking. I thought the brass belly idea was awesome and I'm glad you tried again. Great job!
Kinda wish the course was called "Fish with your master bait" lol. can't wait to join
Absolutely love your videos. Your baits are absolutely stunning, keep up the good work bud 😊
Quiet workshop you have there 😢 we all miss him.

18:02 this is what we all came here for. That sweet fish action.
My heart marling when I seen the river stopped 4 a few seconds. And holy God them fish were beautiful.
I questioned life when your ring doorbell chimed, i was looking for my ring notification. You confirming it wasn't mine really helped me out 😂
Your paint jobs are always awesome
Thanks for the video. Keep on keeping on….
I would love to buy some! This video is done so well...
Thats a GT bait. the action is a quick high action jerk. Thanks for the FUN!
That psycho bush looks like a Honey Locust. Their thorns have thorns! And they can penetrate a tire or a shoe quite easily. Really nice JerkBait.

Dude oh my God, the bluegrass music kicked in and then you started shaking the lure so much that it turned offensive and I loved it😂

That little technique white the paper v made the whole bait "pop". Nice touch 👌
its definitely o'fishal! that action is spot on nate! awesome! thank you my friend.

Awesome sauce mixed with action city, nice build
Awesome looking bait. Ready for the next bait!
Love the slow mo releases.
you are one of my favorite channels to watch on TH-cam. I just showed my friends the dingleberry video and they laughed hysterically
That art work makes fishing even more enjoyable 😏
Chili dogs & Marling Baits. Perfect summer afternoon!
Awesome paint scheme here
This lure is definitely a keeper and one I would purchase!
Your snapping the line technique for hung up lures saved me a chatterbait recently.
Do a jointed belly deep diving crank bait this summer when the fish go out deep I bet the action would be amazing!!!
Nice looking bait Nate I bet the walleyes would love that👍
I remember the brass belly excursion. It was a beautiful idea for a lipless crank 💯👌
I heard a little bit of “Your Heart Is A Muscle The Size Of Your Fist” while the baits were spinning. Love that song.
That ring doorbell noto had me looking for my notification. Nice call out. 😂
Great video! You should put a window in the side of the test tank for some sweet side action shots!

This lure and colour scheme would crush it here in Australia 😍 I want it!
It took me a second on that “Hit the bank.” statement, LOL. Glad you didn’t lose it, thanks for the video, be well.
That’s a unique style! I recon you should try to make a Murray cod. Very fun paint scheme.
Love you vids, total legend.
I love how you keep trying to make this idea work. "This bait sucks! Let's keep making it." I'm just starting the video. Hope it works this time.
Great lure! Love the officialness..😊

I am so pleased you actually hit the bank, because i thought, 'well, if i was there i actually would hit it'!
such a great idea! gonna try it with local fish
Glad you revisited this lure without the brass results are night and day miss chip at the end of the videos
