    Kenny you think this could work has a budget SE? With prosperity, maybe unicorn and wraitsoth, without witch, wanted bonfire. Not to win a YCS of course, but to have some fun in local or a small event? Or just would be throwing money?

    one small note to remember about the pendulum scales is that you can only pend light monsters. So you can pend like an effect vieler to go into a Selene line if you have the rare opportunity.

    Check your pronunciation on “Concerto” you’re saying it wrong. It’s an Italian word that essentially means fight

      First off yugioh players dont pronounce cards right in general its not just him. and I dont blame them considering some of the stinkin names on these cards. Second he's saying it fine. He's saying cone-sare-toe which is how you would say it when speaking english with an english accent. If you have a latin accent it would be Cone-Share-Toe. The word is italian but it doesnt necessarily mean fight... It's essentially an exact translation for Concert. which means: a musical composition for a solo instrument or instruments accompanied by an orchestra. At least according to the Oxford Dictionary. The original definition is: join, bind to- gether

      While it's true that mispronunciations are common among Yu-Gi-Oh! players, it doesn't excuse the consistent butchering of card names. Accuracy should be valued, especially when discussing topics within a specific domain. Claiming that pronouncing "Concerto" as "cone-sare-toe" is acceptable in English with an English accent is unfounded. The correct pronunciation follows the standard Italian pronunciation, not an invented English rendition. Arguing that "Cone-Share-Toe" is how you would pronounce "Concerto" with a Latin accent is a stretch. While accents may influence pronunciation, they don't warrant distorting the word beyond recognition. Dismissing "Concerto" as simply meaning "concert" disregards its rich musical and linguistic history. While it can indeed refer to a musical composition, it specifically denotes a piece where a soloist or group of soloists contrasts with an orchestra, invoking a sense of musical dialogue or "fight," as derived from its Latin root. Acknowledging the Oxford Dictionary's definition is a good start, but it's crucial to understand the nuanced meanings and origins of words. "Concerto" originates from the Italian word for "agreement" or "harmony," and its musical connotations go beyond a mere "join" or "bind together." It encapsulates the intricate interplay between soloist and orchestra, akin to a musical conversation rather than a mere gathering. While linguistic flexibility allows for some variation in pronunciation, it doesn't justify distorting words beyond recognition. Understanding the intended meaning behind a mispronounced word doesn't validate its incorrect pronunciation. Linguistic accuracy should still be upheld to ensure effective communication and preserve the integrity of language.

      @violin15895 wtf are you talking about. It's a childrens card game where the players are known for not showering or reading. Its not an english or music class. The history of the word means literally less than nothing to this conversation, and I'm not dismissing anything. I'm saying the globally recognized definition of the word... saying the name of a card wrong is fine... chill its not that serious. Take your text book to class not locals. Nobody cares that a name of a card is pronounced alittle off

    Superheavy Samurai works better with Snake-eyes for now. Maybe with new support that will change.

    • @tcoren1
      @tcoren1 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah. Ostinato is actually much better than wakaushi if you can spare the ED slots but the refrain taking your normal summon is awful. The whole point of the engine is that it forces interruption without taking away your normal summon.
      I guess in money builds that can afford wanted/bonfire the two are more or less equivalent, maybe even melodious is better, but SHS is much better for a budget build.
      And let's be real, both engines are pretty suboptimal if you run bonfires

    • @YGOKingPhil
      @YGOKingPhil 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @tcoren1 yeah I totally agree with you. Only thing I'll add is that bonfire is the only starter that is bad with the SHS stuff. Wanted and diabelstar actually synergize well with SHS since wanted can return itself and OSS to the deck.

    • @tcoren1
      @tcoren1 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@YGOKingPhil I didn't mean it in the sense that bonfire has negative synergy with SHS (you start with the SHS/melodious engine anyway), I meant bonfire has positive synergy with melodious.
      You normal summoned refrain and got handtrapped? No problem just activate bonfire to extend through that. If you play a budget list (which is the main reason to play either engine honestly speaking) and you get ashed on refrain, your turn is immediately over. Meanwhile if you activate wakaushi and your banshee gets impermed you can just normal ash and continue like nothing ever happened

    • @YGOKingPhil
      @YGOKingPhil 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@tcoren1 Yeah i see what you're saying but i feel like even with bonfire it just becomes so much weaker after Ns refrain gets HT'd. especially considering theres droll out there

    • @tcoren1
      @tcoren1 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@YGOKingPhil yeah it's not great in general I'm just saying it's even worse when running a budget version.
      And if we expand outside of snake eyes something like springans that doesn't really need the normal to extend probably prefers melodious over SHS.
      Regarding droll I actually think melodious is better, both normal refrain and activate motorbike lose to droll, and ostinato ends on bagooska + 2 mat apo compared to wakaushi's bagooska.
      Vs shifter though SHS is much better as both starters make bagooska while melodious just passes
