WOW! This is a true masterpiece! It was a real pleasure to watch all the episodes, your craftmanship is fashinating and also the knowledge about materials, elctronics and everything! Really impressive!
Thoroughly enjoyed all 23 episodes. I just found your channel via the Firebird build (I just bought one). Beautiful guitar. You can be proud of your craftsmanship. ✌️🇦🇺
Turned out beautifully!! Sounds great as well. The middle pos is the best of both worlds. And the neck sounds like Clapton’s rolled back Cream tone. And the bridge, well we all need that screaming bridge to get our aggression out on. Nice job all around Patrick!
Sounded chimey unplugged. Always a great sign. Sounded killer plugged in. That chunky bridge sound was getting very near Ricky territory. Loved the build mate. Very well done.
Thanks Dean. The first time I gave it a quick strum once it was tuned up I was pretty sure it was going to be nice. I'm really happy with the outcome on this one :)
Super Duda mate, you’ve inspired me to make a thinline type. I make a lot of Barncaster type teles but I’ve still not done a thinline. It’s been on my list for a long time so I’m now planning it for my next build. As soon as I’ve finished my current build, I’m on it. I’m also going to use nitro as the finishing product. I normally use a combination of oils for Barncasters or 2K for any high gloss finishes for more prestige builds. Thanks for the inspiration. 🤘😁🤘🎸
This is a beautiful sounding guitar. The way it is chambered with the dual sound holes really makes it interestingly acoustic sounding. You could tell clearly if you couldn't see the instrument that this is not a slab body. I also appreciate the way you have documented all of the steps of your build, very helpful to all of us who want to build a tele from scratch. As far as the esthetics of the instrument goes, I think this is one of the nicest looking bursts I've ever seen. It transitions subtly and isn't overly dark on the borders. As well, I like your choice of top. Especially on a tele, tops that have too much figure in them I think are distracting. This one looks understated in the right way. Excellent work.
Thanks James, I love this guitar, as you say it has a great tone and it looks good to boot (it has an almost identical twin as well). I didn't want an overly fussy top but it does have some subtle flame in there. All in all very happy with it.
You should be very proud of this guitar. Looks great, sounds great. Your craftsmanship and attention to detail was inspiring. I don't regret a single second I spent watching the series. I learnt heaps. Well done.
Wow, when you went to the neck pickup my earbuds almost melted. lol Incredible build. Incredible sound. Sounds like a classic tele only beefier. It's a tele that went on a weight training program, but didn't use PEDs. Alot of muscle, but all natural. Strong, powerful with loads of reserve. Going through all 23 videos was tedious at times, but the end product was worth another 23. Thank you for posting all of these. Really, really brilliant.
Thanks, this was one of my favourite builds, everything seemed to go right on it. I was really pleased with how this one came out, sounds and plays great. I use this one on a regular basis and it always brings a smile to my face. Thanks for staying the journey on this build and I hope the outcome made the effort worth it.
@@Adventuresfromtheshedofdreams "I hope the outcome made the effort worth it." Like I said, you could have taken 23 more and hearing the end result would have been worth it. Best sounding tele I've ever heard. Cheers from New Zealand. 🇳🇿.
Looks and sounds good. The single coil and humbucker sound really much alike, by which I mean they prove pickups are microphones that pick up the sound.
Looks amazing.. Still very honoured that you loaned me the original Patocaster for a live outing those few years ago.. great to see those skills on display!!
Well done a truly beautiful build! Hats off and can’t wait to see what is next! I’m sure it’s a firebird, because that is what I’m going to build next....
It's been great watching your build, it's really a beautiful guitar. The guitar " Semi-Hollow bodied Tele w/ HB in the (N) " is definitely on my bucket list. If you ever decide to sell it, make sure you put me at the top of your list please. As I would love to be it's new owner !! Congratulations on such a successful build ... I really believe you hit it out of the park !! Thanks for sharing it w/ us.
HI Patrick,There is something about a NEW guitar day. But you must be proud of the great guitar you have physically made your self that is a triple bonus! Look forward to more like this!
The. Sound is definitely crisp and you get a bit of the hollow body sound.it looks gorgeous and like the rosewood fretboard standing out against the burst top. Well done !
Really looks amazing..!!..makes me want a tele.. great burst finish and that rosewood has nice deep color.. super job.. love the origin 20 also.. look forward to what's next..!!!
Uhh,, fascinating build and process,!! Your technique is solid and reminds me of an Aussie builder ???? Fletcher??? Anyway very similar finishing technique with beautiful results. I,m surprised more builders don,t use the original snakehead tele neck! Three aside and direct pull! No need for string trees!! Mr. Fleatcher did a one piece snake head demo build that was incredible! Look him up! Very interesting! Like I said previously, a double cut tele with the snake head neck is my dream axe!!
@@Adventuresfromtheshedofdreams yeah,,, my nickname is Buddy since childhood! My email is Buddypoor! I,m a drummer but love guitars and amps and play some. I use buddypoor because buddy rich is taken!! Yuck yuck!
Absolutely gorgeous ! Sounds as good as it looks. You’re attention to detail is impressive ! I’ll buy it. The finish videos are great, as is the finished finish. Took a while, worth the wait, a guitar that nice doesn’t happen overnight. Your patience also sets the bar quite high. I’m excited, for you.
Followed the complete build on this Thinline. Exclnt presentation & well thought out craftsmanship throughout the whole processes. 5-star build 👍 Only one question is why you chose to go with a top-loader instead of using ferrules? I know how fun it can be drilling out the holes for the ferrules…lol
Thank you, very kind :) I loved this build and play the thinline most days. Regarding the toploader, it was as much about keeping a clean look on the back of the guitar. That said, drilling the ferrules can be a mission!!
@@Adventuresfromtheshedofdreams I know what you mean about having a ‘clean look’. I did a Tele build very similar to yours, except I had an access panel on the backside for ease of installing the electroniix. Didn’t want any screws showing., so used little neo magnets to secure the panel, I have to take the output Jack out to pop it off. I chambered mine identical to yours’, but w/o f-holes. I may be wrong, but I thought you increased the bow in the next with your adjustment at 3:10m or does that truss rod work in reverse direction. Looks like a great end to the build. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful guitar...and as far as I can hear on the computer it really sounds great. Couple of questions - you seemed to just put in a couple of pickups you happened to have! I take it these are pups you are familiar with, but how much consideration did you give to choice of pups for this particular guitar? And are you happy to stick with them?
Thanks, I've used the bridge pickup a number of times so was pretty sure it would work here, the neck pickup is basically a PAF so should be nice in a mahogany/maple body. I'm happy with these in this guitar but I often try new stuff just to see if it works in a given situation.
@@Adventuresfromtheshedofdreams Hi - thanks for your reply - good to hear you are pleased with your choice. I always find it difficult to know which pups to choose - mainly because I'm not a good player, and I don't play at much volume. I go more on recommendation, and budget! Cheers, look forward to next build.
