    Solar power can be a great way to generate electricity for your home while reducing your carbon footprint and saving money on your energy bills. Here are some steps to consider if you're interested in installing a solar power system for your home:
    Evaluate your home's solar potential: Assess your home's location, roof size, orientation, and shading to determine if your property is suitable for solar panels. You can use online tools or consult with a solar contractor to estimate the potential energy output of a solar system for your home.
    Choose a solar installer: Look for a reputable solar installer in your area with experience in residential solar installations. Check their credentials, reviews, and certifications before choosing them.
    Determine your energy needs: Calculate your household's energy consumption and determine how much electricity you want to generate with solar power. This will help you choose the right size and type of solar panels for your home.
    Select solar panels and other equipment: Choose high-quality solar panels, inverters, and other equipment that suit your energy needs, budget, and preferences. You can discuss different options and brands with your solar installer.
    Obtain necessary permits: Obtain the necessary permits and approvals from your local government and utility company before installing your solar system.
    Install your solar system: Your solar installer will install the solar panels and other equipment on your roof or ground-mounted structure. They will also connect the system to your home's electrical system.
    Monitor and maintain your system: Regularly monitor your solar system's performance to ensure that it's generating enough electricity and functioning properly. You may also need to clean the solar panels occasionally and replace any faulty equipment.
    By following these steps, you can install a solar power system for your home and start enjoying the benefits of clean, renewable energy.

    The labour contracter said that he need 65 per sqft. Then 1660*65=107000 need to know is that fair or not

    I had this idea 5 years ago but didnt know who to approach to get done in my home town Kollam. My idea was based on getting something built like a car bay canopy on my roof which had a gentle curve and looked aesthetic and was willing to spend up to 25 lakhs. 80 metre square is the floor area I had on my terrace so I am guessing 12-15KW installation or 96kwh-120kwh per day of output.

    • @Sauhardam
      @Sauhardam ปีที่แล้ว +2

      These gadgets are certainly not going to run on a conventional grid tie system unless you invest on a microgrid. With all the gadgets you mentioned, consumption may be 50 units per day, 1500 kWh consumption and a monthly bill of 15000/-. A 10 kw , grid tie system can save you 10k . So you need to invest on a 15kw system. Approx cost 6-8 lakh rupees. Your house, connected load should be 15kw to get approval for a 15 kw rooftop system. These are only rough calculations. If you consume only 30 units per day, a 19KW system is good enough. Go in for bigger companies. I am using a 10 KW grid tie system, one kw off grid system with 10KWH battery back up and 3.5 kw inverter. The system also has a 1.5 kw wind turbine. Good luck!

    • @Sauhardam
      @Sauhardam ปีที่แล้ว

      For 30kw consumption, use a 10 kw grid tie system!

      @@Sauhardam thank you for a detailed explanation. Not sure we would be using 50units or even 30 units for that matter though. Our current (rented) home also has most of these gadgets but I guess the daily use is 20. Will have to see.

    • @sajytvm4367
      @sajytvm4367 ปีที่แล้ว

      The kind of gadgets listed in the question by Abhijith, should have a yearly average consumption of about 40 unit per day in a place like Tvm/Ekm. The 20 units theory is unbelievable - it may be a winter month bill or in Idukki district. You have to consider yearly average. It is recommended to have (40+10)/4 = 12KW 3 ph system (10 units is for future gadgets in Kitchen, like electric pressure cooker, deep fryer, Air fryer, dishwasher, microwave oven, ceramic cooker, Multi cooker etc. etc. of a modern family)

    It will be better if method cleaning solar panels and cleaning frequency etc addressed. In most of the cases such panels are fixed on top of the truss roof and approach to such places are very difficult. Most of the suppliers are silent when they canvass such products. I am one of the victims. As per Kerala's weather condition, rainny season is very muvh thete and hence most of the houses are fitted with truss to protect the concrete structure from rain. This warrant one to go for solar panels above already built truss. During summer dust is accumulated and during rainy season fungus like matter is deposited and unless these deposits ard not removed the output willnot be as per the design. These things arr not informed at all in any of such description. Method ov removing such deposits without damaging the panel also importantant. Hope such details also willhe addressed for understanding of public.

    Why are you not explaining about the angle of panel placement ? Max output for a micro inverter ( enphase ) is 295 vA that means maximum output of a solar panel above 430 Wp is wasted .please add more details including datasheets. Angle of panel placement also affect the production .Roofing with solar panel will compramise with the output power generated ( rules of angle of reflection and refraction have effect)...

    • @Sauhardam

      The angle of slope appears to be wrong. Required angle is 10 degree. Here it appears to be about 30. 10% reduction in output should be expected.

      They use FRP (Fiber Reinforced Polymer) pavements for cleaning purposes, which are installed only after the shingles are placed on top. We can easily clean the panels by using the solar panel cleaning brush.

    I have installed a 4.3 kv on grid system about 2.5 years back, with 5 kv inverter.
    Now can it be possible to add on by facial panals with micro inverters and feed the ac directly to grid?

    ഒരു കാര്യം അറിയാൻ ആഗ്രഹം ഉണ്ട്. വീടുകളിൽ low power systems വയ്ക്കുകയാണ് നല്ലത്! ഇപ്പോൾ BLDC fans 12/24 വൊൾറ്റിൽ പ്രവർത്തിപ്പിക്കാം. അതു പോലെ വീട്ടിലെ ലൈറ്റുകൾ 12-24 വൊൾറ്റിൽ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന LED system ആക്കാൻ കഴിയുമോ? ഇവ, DC മാത്രം ഉപയോഗിച്ച് പ്രവർത്തിപ്പിക്കാൻ കഴിയുമല്ലോ. ഇൻവേർട്ടർ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത് high voltage,high current loads മാത്രമാക്കാൻ കഴിയും!
