..."certainly in the stars that shine in the heavens." John Denver is the voice for nature, the voice for peace, the voice of tender souls, hurting souls, loving souls. The messages of John's songs remind that each and every one of us is an important "forever" ingredient in one world, inside one universe. It is up to us to be loving sharing caretakers of our world, and all who live within it.... whether now, in the past, or future generations. We are one. We are timeless. What hurts one, hurts us all. An act of selfless love, loves all.
Sooo lucky to have been there all 3 days. Still have an Aspen leaf preserved between the pages of my grandmother's bible from that day. 54:36 is the piercing intensity that lasts forever. He made this world a better place and I'm sure he's doing the same in the next one.
I love how vulnerable, real & poetic...spiritual teacher to the world still...John, your light is shining in this world through all of us who love your heart for humanity & your soul for God! What an exquisite gift to put it all to music & share it beyond boundaries!!! May you continue to heal the hurting with your music...gratefully yours...Carol
hearing John do "The Wings That Fly Us Home" always lifts my spirit more than any song ever...last time i heard him sing this live was in Austin, Tx on Oct 4, 1997...if we had only known...Thanks for this
John Denver being exactly what he wanted to be. Our teacher. Making us aware of what is important in this life. What was important in his life. If we don't start listening to what he was trying to tell us, we will find ourselves at a point we can not turn away from. Thank you John for making me aware. RIP.
Great videos about John Denver and Windstar. I wish Windstar never closed. It's so sad. John would of wanted more for our world. RIP JD We love and miss you dearly!!🙏💖

I hadn't seen this before. It is wonderful but I could sense something wasn't quite right with John. I looked up the date of the Symposium and realised it was in the same month as his 3rd wedding anniversary, and he and Cassie split up soon after they achieved that milestone so everything must have been falling apart about this time. Even when he sang I could see that he wasn't himself. Poor man, it must have been an excruciating time for him.
Yes there is pain on his face it is heart wrenching to watch, he seems near tears in parts of songs in 1991 symposium. I wonder if the songs helped him through difficult time in his relationship. It enriches the songs. The wings that fly us Home very powerful that song is about having faith to carry on through hardships, that the struggle is not in vain...that peace awaits. It hurts to be rejected, made me teary eyed too recalling my failed friendships, I would've given him a hug afterward he was so brave to bear his soul like that.
Yes, I agree that our sweet John was struggling and emotional during this performance. I would have loved to hold him closely and told him how very much that I loved him ❤️ ♥️
My biggest grievance of China is NOT the public. It's the Communist Chinese Party. I am not saying anyone is perfect. Only Jesus Christ is perfect and the one true God. And we always have to caution against false new age indoctrination, especially when it centers around things that really don't help people or the Earth. I miss John Denver, his beautiful and timeless music, talent, compassionate well-intentioned heart, humanitarian giving, and love for others. These things are the essence of the best of John.

JOHN DENVER WORDS IS SOMETHING ABOUT REVELATIONS BUT NOT DIRECT. AS SINGER IS SIMPLE AND GREAT.
