Audio Advice is no longer selling these speakers, just the small version. They would be a good option if they were available.

I’ve been leaning towards incorporating on-walls for my surrounds since my new theater room has limited space on the sides. Seems like the compromises made for on-wall would still work fine in my situation! 🤘
Yeah man! As long as you know what to expect.
I talked to my neighbor today and he wanted a replacement for his sound bar. For his situation and his needs, the Sonos ARC and some Sonos speakers for the rear were the best recommendations. Not what I expected to recommend, but what's best for one person isn't always the best for another.
Hey Joe, looking suave! Love the whole on wall speaker thing. My house was not pre wired for home for home theater. The on walls can be placed where in walls would go without cutting holes and running wires. Those Heco speakers look awesome. Their price tags are awesome too!

@@joentell Think about it Joe apartment managers are going to LOVE on walls! Another bid advantage is if the placement of the speaker doesn’t work out you just move it. No hole repair, no painting! I think HECO makes some great products. I am giving some a look myself.
I'm considering these speakers but audio advice is the only one who had them. Not anymore. They only have the 11F. Are they retiring them or not bringing them anymore?

Hey Joe, do you use linear phase EQ at all? It helps to get better EQ results with all speakers in general and those speakers you mention not EQing well, well they EQ a lot better with linear phase (especially bass). I did a series on it if you're interested. Great review as always! Thank you!
I think these would be great for me. by moving to this I would be able to run dual subs and I wouldn't have to worry about people almost knocking over my speakers because they are so close to the door. I think I would miss my big SVS center channel's horizontal dispersion more than I would miss the bookshelf speakers.
You have a few systems. Maybe this will give you an excuse to setup yet another one. Bedroom system. ;-)
Hey Joe, great video. I'm on the hunt for some slim on-wall speakers for space reasons, and these seem decent. Have you tested the ELAC Debut 2.0 OW4.2 On-Wall speakers yet?

Thanks for the video, Joe! I have 5 Ambients in boxes waiting for my basement to be finished. (3 - 44F's for LCR, and 2 - 11F's for rears). All 3 models accept VESA mounts at 100mm spacing. I am for sure going to use a low profile mount for my rears so they can be aimed better. Question.... would the front L & R's benefit at all with a low pro aimable mount... not only to aim better to the MLP, but also to get them away from the wall a couple inches??
Aiming can help with imaging, but keep in mind that the dip in the response varies based on distance from the wall. An in-wall has no difference in space between the baffle and the back wall since the wall is the baffle. The closer the baffle is to the wall, the higher the frequency the cancellation occurs. Higher frequency reflections can be reduced by placing sound treatment around the speaker. If you pull the speaker further from the wall, the dip becomes lower in frequency and requires much thicker absorbers. When you get a speaker out about 3ft from the wall, the cancellation frequency starts to get lower than the speaker can play.

Hey Joe im Planing a New Surround System and in the Front i Like to place some heco Celan Revolution 7 with the Revolution 4 Center. Or three Revolution 3 in the Front. For Surround Back i think of the Ambient 44f and for Auro the 11f. Do you think the tweeter Match good in These two series?

Curious if you have gotten any additional information on the 22F and 44F ports. I verified that my 44F's also have foam around the corner plugging the ports. Seems odd.
I would love for them to comment. I have no idea what is going on there. I've never seen anything like it before.
I think something that could help with these is adding absorption in the front wall. Not sure, just going based on what I've heard.
I think there might be truth to that. I haven't tried it. I just wonder if surrounding the speaker with absorption might defeat the purpose of looking visually appealing. I hope I'm wrong.
Also if one has kids, an on wall speaker may survive...

Are you referring to a flat frequency response? If so, you don't like accurate direct sound from the speaker?
