Bought a PT 10 Heston about 40 years ago and was supposed to be field ready but it took a couple of days a couple hundred dollars and a lot of adjusting like your doing but it was a sweet machine when I got it done, I mowed 60 acres of my own 4 or 5 times a year and did some custom work on the side, first thing every spring I put a new sickle in it and never regretted it, I pulled it with an Allis Chalmers D17 in 3rd gear on the high side. Mine had the fingers that would fluff the hay so it would dry faster, good luck with yours

Where do you get parts for your PT10? Mine is almost field ready. I've been fabricating my own parts but can only go so far

Back then I got most of my consumables from a local farm store, but like I said that was 40 years ago @@yak968

Looking forward to seeing your progress in getting it running. I bought two of these old guys for $500 (one for parts) - will see if I can git them running 😁😁

Awsome its working! id like to suggest you try blaster penetrating oil , WD is for water displacement, actually meant to keep rocket cylinders from corrosion... If i sent you some corn kernals? like a 1/2cup? how many kernals you want/ would you plant them..?? they are Heirloom from a navy / Navajo Indian man from Arizona. I bought his house when he passed, R.I.P. they look like small yellow kernals, unknown how many days they grow or when to plant. i think its eating corn, pretty sure.
and.. What color we gonna paint it... looked like red and white?

Where did you source the float spring? Direct from agco?

Yes, through one of Massey's dealers.

@@1.64ScaleFarmer21any chance I could trouble you for some contact info for the dealer in question. I have been searching for that spring everywhere. Agco said they no longer sell it, all state ag has already sold their used stock. I’ve called every place I can find and nothing. You would be a live saver. Driving to Iowa to buy a whole parts machine is on the table now and I really do t wanna drive that far

If your local AGCO dealer has a good parts department, they should be able to pull up the parts diagram and see if the part is available. @@yak968
