  • Take a bird’s eye view of 1980s Tasmania, filmed from the window of a helicopter before drones were invented. Footage includes Mt Lyell, Savage River, Devonport, Entally house, Launceston, Penny Royal, Ross, Boyer Paper Mills, Hobart, Salamanca Market, Wrest Point, Iron Pot Lighthouse (Tasman Island), Lake Pedder and Strathgordon.

    Super interesting! I stayed at the Penny Royal in may this year, it was sadly a ghost town. Didnt realise those boats were functional with cannons and all! That's so cool

    A far better time for most, employment was just getting bad for younger people though
