I always run Lazarus; he neuters the Monster's ability to make progress in combat when played properly (evasively) That and they appear to have buffed him so not only are there revives without strikes, but all revived characters get a large amount of health if not all of it back when using his Lazarus device. Medics are usually highest priority, but with most medics you can afford to take out others first if you need to. With Lazarus howerver; he has to die first or victory outside of special condition will be impossible
I can see this lineup in an Evolve movie. Maggie and Slim get along, Parnell and Lennox have a fun rivalry as a nod to the fact they are both assault class characters, and Bucket somehow ending up the leader of this group despite being a support class robot.
+chris koloski .....I do prefer Abe and Griffin most of the time, but when I'm playing a support that can't shield, I can keep myself alive by spamming harpoons and Maggie could pick me up if the medic cant sometimes. I like Daisy as that extra medic hunter although I swear that dog is retarded sometimes. Keep in mind I am speaking about normal Maggie, as I prefer to have Griffin's 1 harpoon over Wasteland's 1 harpoon, because deployed equipment can be destroyed before it acquires a target or is done setting up to be ready. Having 3 harpoons makes this less of an issue and give potential "cross pooning" chances where the monster could get hit by 2 poons. Although wasteland's 1 harpoon, Daisy with flamethrower, and SMG with residual are all better quality alternatives than normal maggie, but potential is better with quantity.
for the one's who don't want to actually track the monster and just want to follow a dog...lizard...porcupine...all three of them...little bit of shark based on those teeth.
Been a long time since I played this game, but Abe was always my favorite hunter. His grenades that slowed the monster down were easier to use than the harpoons, and the monster couldn’t destroy them, and his shotgun did crazy damage

I love Bucket (I maxed him out) but honestly I feel he can't contribute as much to the team as other Support hunters can (mostly Hank/Kala). Hank can shield and call down an Airstrike/Orbital Drill to flush out the monster and deal damage, Kala has almost limitless possiblilities with her being able to teleport everywhere and put them in helpful areas for defense. For example after the Trapper has captured the monster if you are outside the arena set up a teleport pad outside then go inside the arena and put down another one to take them out as they can set up traps around the arena before it goes down to capture the monster. Or to help the medic and someone damaged get out and safely heal then get back in, or put a teleport pad near the extraction point in Rescue letting the survivors get there before the monster does. There's just so much.
Responding late ,but adding my input. Evolve to me, even years later, is still one of my FAVORITE games of all time. Evolve is still unique to me! I recently rolled back my copy of Evolve from 2.0, to Evolve Legacy (aka Classic Evolve, last update prior to the 2.0 re-launch). Lazarus is still my favorite medic to play as! He's not what you'd expect out of a medic kit; a rapid fire sniper rifle (which leaves weak points), a personal cloak, and a glove that REVIVES! It was so, SO funny to annoy a monster player by keeping my team alive with NO strikes, heh. Maggie is also my favorite trapper, though I LOVE Wasteland Maggie. Makes her and Daisy that much more invaluable when Daisy also pitches in to burn the Monster! I have a soft spot for Markov. Yes, tier 1, but he's VERY reliable, easy to handle. Blitz Markov's damage can be REALLY high if you know how to play him. Hank's got alot of personality behind that beard, and is also still a solid part of my hunting AI party. I know it's only a faint dream, but I do hope one day, Evolve gets a PROPER revival, or another company buys the license. One can only hope.
Well that was a surprising list... mine is: 1. EMET: Overpowered as hell! Semi-auto homing rockets that fire while you heal from multiple areas with the healing buoys just break the game! As if that's wasn't detrimental enough to the monster, the respawn beacon is basically a slower, but MUCH more effective Lazarus device! A team with a decent EMET is fucking immortal! You can't even pounce on EMET as a monster when he's the last one left because he shoots automatically even while pinned; I'm pretty sure he is the only hunter in the game who can do this! EMET didn't even need a personality to hit the No. 1. spot, but they delivered some of the most consistently HILARIOUS dialogue ever to boot! One quote I especially love is: "Look, birds! I wish I could fly - *YOU HAVE A JETPACK YOU RETARDED FUCK!*"! XD 2. Slim: THE BEST HEALER EVER! While not the best Medic, his class has some stiff competition, so second place is still AMAZING! I truly feel the only Medic that isn't at least great is Rogue Val, even original Val has the tranquilizer which allows skilled Medics to play the role of trapper too! Slim still is the fastest healer, and while I haven't played him much, ('cause I don't have any 4th or 5th tiers) from what little time I've played as him he seems almost too easy! The Leech gun is satisfying, easy to pick up, and to be honest just overpowered! The healing drone greatly makes up for Slim's Assault side, and the extra range on his healing burst is just the icing on the cake! I would genuinely consider putting Slim at the top, if it weren't for the deal-breaker; the weakest link; the Spore cloud launcher. Don't get me wrong, I completely see the utility of this weapon, but I feel like it's designed for the wrong purpose. While I know first-hand how annoying it is to have your Smell Stolen from you as an attacking monster, that's all it REALLY is, an annoyance. A spore cloud ain't gonna stop a behemoth from crushing you or a Wraith from Pouncing on you, the only monster I would guess it hinders is Kraken, who even then still has aftershock and banshee mines. I feel that Spore clouds and dust tagging need to swap places. Maybe this is just 'cause I'm a Wraith main, but I always take smell range as my perk and use it ALL THE TIME to evade my cunning predators. The amount of times a hunter was about to get the jump on me, but I managed to hide just in time due smell warning me is incredible! Personally, a much long-lasting and wide range air-strike approach to it, would cause A LOT more problems for the monster. Forcing it to run blindly, with no warning if the hunters are near; or sealing off a feeding ground, leaving the risk of eating a lot larger! As for his personality, I admit I didn't like it at first, but it's starting to grow on me. At first he just seemed like a generic pessimistic soldier. Now I appreciate his sympathy, but I don't like how it seems he can't decide whether to be a pushy cynical jerk or a Sympathetic, traumatized soldier. 3. Crow/Abe: Abe: A middle finger to stealthy Crow: A middle finger to the evasive I'm sorry, I really tried to make a decision here instead of calling it a draw, but they're both just too damn good! Abe's Tracking dart makes the stealthy player's game a long and difficult uphill battle where you can never be safe, and Crow may not find you easy, but once he does you will not get away without paying a devastating price! Abe's custom shotgun feels like it belonged to an assault, and his Stasis grenades ruin the attacks of Behomoths and Krakens almost flawlessly, he's just an amazingly reliable trapper, assault and suppourt! Crow on the other hand is not reliable, while better at finding the monster than *some* trappers *cough* *cough* Griffin. Maggie and Abe are certainly a lot better at finding it; but what about when the some goes down? As Maggie your traps might buy a few extra seconds of damage, and Abe may not lose the monster immediately, but neither of them can really keep a decent monster in the fight for long without a lotta luck and skill. Crow is different. Crow not only ensures that the monster can never recover from each fight no matter how long it eats for with his armour-piercing sniper, but also prevents the monster from running with the stasis gun (Which is WAY more powerful than the already effective stasis grenades), and if he does get out of sight, can just send Gobi to ensure you don't lose sight of them so you can stasis them right back! Both are great trappers, and I simply cannot decide which is better... As for personality, both are kinda a let-down, which is the one drawback. Abe's just a guy who says fuck a lot, and Crow barely shows any emotion; and I don't mean in some cold, edgy, assassin way. He's just quiet. You'd think at least he'd have a cool voice to go with his dark and quiet look, but for some reason they gave him some wierd Samurai voice! The first time Crow spoke I had no idea who was talking, his voice does not fit him AT ALL! 4. Kala/Bucket: Kala: Wait, so you're telling me I can just rip all this armour off? Bucket: Trapper, Assault and suppourt all in one! I'm sorry! There are just too many good choices! Kala Was a cool enough idea on her own, then they decided: "Hey, why don't we just give the monster the middle finger for preparing for their fight, by taking away all its armour?". Now with Kala, every fight has a permanent effect, you have to pick your battles whenever possible, and you can't get away with sloppy ambushes anymore! Kala really makes the consequences of battle weigh down hard on the aggressive monster. The stealthy ones like me won't have so much trouble, but it does make the threat of battle a lot more terrifying... For me as Wraith, most games I just get to Stage 3 and then battle, but some games I get cornered at stage 2. When this happens usually once the dome is down I hide; decoy; hide and then fight for a minute or 2, and before my armour's gone the dome's down. Then I can just leg-it and with any luck I'll get far enough away that even though I left tracks for once, I can quickly Evolve to Stage 3 before they catch up, and then I can grab a quick snack while they run to the power relay. With Kala, I can't afford to get caught even once! Her weapon's cool too, but that's all I have to say about it; and although I am happy the hunters have teleporters now, they seem more of a situational novelty than an effective utility; unless in the hands of a player with perceptivenes, foresight, and intuition; but I can't even get a teammate that can find the monster without tracks everywhere, so that's a tall order. As for Bucket, you really said it all in the video, but he isn't my number 1 because I think you oversold him a bit. Also, though I like him most of the time, his charisma and charm melts into condescending, pretentious, cynical comments when EMET is around. It's just really unpleasant to see such a likeable character become so two-faced just because EMET is a "less sophisticated robot", He certainly does a much better job than you, Bucket! (ROAST INTENSIFIES) Kala's personality was different though, I really like it. At first she just seemed self-conscious, a bland personality, but an interesting feature; which was a conversation topic so it was fine with me. Watching her dropship conversations really told an interesting story, but as a character she was still blander than tofu! Kala is the one character whose personality, I feel, develops more in the fight than it does on the ship. Everyone always talks about her declining sanity, but on the ship I never see it; but if you go down as her she screams like an insane, panicked banshee! Another thing I liked was how she felt like a normal person dragged into this, when she goes down she doesn't scream "I'm down", shout for help or make any pretentious comments like "You guys are screwed without me" *ahem* Lennox. She says "I think my legs are broken." How she doesn't use the proper terminology, and how she's unsure really show how she's a fish out of water. 5. Maggie One word: Daisy I have to agree with you here, even though I didn't expect to... Maggie to me seemed like honourable mention material, but the more I think about her, the more I appreciate her. Maggie's just a solid choice, you cannot go wrong with Maggie. You can be the wrong suppourt, wrong medic, and wrong trapper for the job in some context for pretty much every character, but not Maggie. You fighting a Goliath? Harpoon traps stop it from jumping. Kraken? hard to fly when you're attached to the ground... Wraith? Can't just stay in its hidden feeding ground until stage 3 even if it hasn't attracted birds or left tracks; with Daisy on its tail, there's no permanent escape for a Wraith, forcing them to always be one the move which is a big problem when you need to be stealthy. Behemoth? Can't destroy elevated traps easily, and almost impossible to miss even with Maggie's large spread. Gorgon? Try jumping in out of battle to slowly weaken your prey over time with a harpoon in your ass! Maggie cannot fail, even
Now I don't really play trapper and I agree with your assault and support choices, but for me the best healer is Lazarus hands down! Now he isn't exactly a Medic, but the fact that his Sniper Rifle makes weak spots on the Monster is just something that can mean life or death for the monster and on top of that he can go invisible. And my favorite ability is Lazarus Device. I freaking love trolling the monster with that thing. The second a hunter dies the monster is like ''Welp he/she is done. Better move on to the next.'' and then BAM. I pop my my invincibility, go next to the dead hunter and resurrect them. I love him!
also I know how you feel extra things to worry about like the tyrants as other hunter like bucket juniors or something and revive teammates without being seen is amazing and I always use U.A.B'S its awesome I know how it feels about bucket and I felt like u were going to say bucket and a ROBOT THAT TALK AND SMART AS A HUMAN WITH THE FAST DEPLOYABLE LASER SIGHTED ROCKET CANNONS FOR AN ARM IS AMAZING TOO.I ALWAYS AM SUPPORT FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE........TATICAL ADVANTAGE
one more thing he uses his left hand to dilute but its the right that's how u know even with the gun is always on the right side in games and he tries to dilute even if it was the wrong ✋.he's very SUPPORTIVE!!!!!! for his whole team
5.Kala Her armor reducer makes her my favorite support. 4.Slim What is there not to like about him?He's my favorite medic. 3.Crow His long rifle can pierce through the armor of the monster making him my second favorite trapper. 2.Parnell He can deal a ton of damage at close and long range making him my favorite assault. 1.Abe You might not have Daisy,sound spikes,Gobi or the satellite,but as soon as you find the monster,you keep him making Abe my favorite hunter.
This isn’t related to the video itself but it’s related to evolve so it counts, a team that will almost always kill the monster would be Lennox, Maggie, bucket, and slim, because Maggie would harpoon him, then bucket could put a lot of drones then slim all before that could use the spore bomb. After all that they launch a full on assault then it’d most likely be dead if they domed it. (Just so you know I’m just doing the team based off of the choices of this video so I guess it’s still related?)
Depends if youre talking legacy evolve or stage 2. In legacy evolve- Bucket was hot trash. Probably the worst character in the game by a fair margin. The turrets didnt do enough damage and were too easily killed (despite there being 5 of them originally, but this was still true after he got dropped to 3 buffed turrets when emet was released), to offset the "downside" of having zero defensive abilities. UAV, also trash. Good hunters didnt need a faster "scout" to keep tabs on the monster, and the downside of having his body be immobile while scouting was terrible- Often resulting in bucket being a good 100-200 meters away from his team who kept (Rightfully) moving on after the monster and "returned" to his body. Bucket POST stage 2- when UAV was scrapped in favor of mechanized recharge however? Hot damn he was awesome. All supports gaining a shield burst was a great mechanic- and his damage was tuned in line with his ability to use the recharge. In plenty of comps buckets "strength" was that he could basically reset the fight for everyone. Someone getting low? Ill pop shield burst. Medic can pop heal burst. Mecha recharge. Heres another shield burst. Heres another heal burst. Oh look everyone is topped off. And because it was a "duration" of cooldown boost, heroes like laz or slim could get multiple heal bursts off during the buff. It was insane. Lennox was a GREAT assault against monsters like behemoth and goliath (arguably too great), but trash against monsters like wraith and kraken. Her guns until they were converted to hitscan were crap (and great once they did the conversion, thank god). But she could never really make good use of her combo multiplier because kraken was always too far away, and wraiths sweep-range on melee meants shed always have her combo removed. Damn i miss evolve.

Same! I was praying bucket, he actually scares the monster away with the sentry drones! I won the game with buckets drones and rocket launcher so many times! He's the best hunter for defence missions in my opinion. Monsters can't get close without getting pumelled by sentries.
My dream team is: A: Lennox, dmg too good to resist both long range and up close. T: Abe, nice guy cool personality awesome abilities 10/10 ign would r8 again. M: I love robots and emet is to cool to pass up, also the best medic in terms of healing and abilities. S: Bucket, gotta love turrets, uavs, and homing missiles and evolves version of Alfred Pennyworth :)

Lol I love how daisy is basically a 5th hunter I went up against gorgon once and we were all down gorgon forgot about daisy and she brought us all up and we killed gorgon while she was eating
I like Bucket and Slim because Bucket’s a cool robot(reminds me of r2-d2)and Slim is a cool alien human hybrid bad-ass medic hunter. I just think in general that the characters that aren’t humans are cooler if they aren’t something stupid like a piece of bread.

So I may be of the unpopular opinion that I really dislike the trapper class in general, having played a measly 1 game with each of them, and disliking it basically the entire time. That being said I love a lot of the trapper personalities, from Maggie's sort of grim outlook on things, to Jack's youthful ignorance, to Abe's experience and resourcefulness. For me I tend to favor Supports and Medics, with Assaults being a bit farther back before inevitably the trappers. My personal list would look something like this, 5. Hyde- Hyde has this twisted sense of humor as showcased very well in the Evac trailer and the introductory video (at least on the PS4), plus he has a wrist mounted flamethrower, that's just cool. 4. Lazarus- Lazarus seems at first glance like he's a very poor medic, having only the healing burst to keep people alive in a brawl, with the Revivafier seeming to be nearly useless. Once you get some experience with the game though you begin to understand the impact of being able to bring people back on their feet or even back from the dead with no strikes against their HP. Combine his usefulness with his incredibly nonchalant attitude and you've got a win in my book. 3. Cabot- Cabot for me definitely deserves to be on this list for a few reasons, Dust tagging has the ability to keep the monster in sights once the arena gets dropped, and Cabot himself can stay extremely safe while outputting damage thanks to the Rail Cannon since he can just stand behind walls and keep shooting while the monster is occupied with other things. The Damage Amplifier is just the icing on the cake, pair it with Hyde's flamethrower, Parnell's super soldier activation, or my personal favorite Torvald's shrapnel mines into a few shotgun clips and whatever monster you're facing is either dead, or about to be. 2. E.M.E.T.- EMET may not be the best medic in the game, for that you would turn to Slim or Val, however EMET brings something to the table that only he really can, he takes the insanity of what everyone on the team is doing and brings it to a head. On top of that he is still a very good medic, with the Replay Cannon letting him fire and forget while focusing more on his team, and Healing Buoys for the sneak revives if a monster loses interest and just generally keeping people healthy. 1. Bucket- Same as in the video Bucket gets the number one spot, and for the same reasons you said, UAV is like having a second trapper minus the arena, and the damage output he has can be insane if he can get his sentries out and gets a clear line to the monster. He's just all around a good character, and the design is sort of reminiscent of old sci-fi. The personality is also very well defined, with some humor thrown in here and there so he doesn't just seem like a robot, but like a person.

A spore cloud ain't gonna stop a behemoth from crushing you or a Wraith from Pouncing on you, the only monster I would guess it hinders is Kraken, who even then still has aftershock and banshee mines. I feel that Spore clouds and dust tagging need to swap places. Maybe this is just 'cause I'm a Wraith main, but I always take smell range as my perk and use it ALL THE TIME to evade my cunning predators. The amount of times a hunter was about to get the jump on me, but I managed to hide just in time due smell warning me is incredible! Personally, a much long-lasting and wide range air-strike approach to it, would cause A LOT more problems for the monster. Forcing it to run blindly, with no warning if the hunters are near; or sealing off a feeding ground, leaving the risk of eating a lot larger!
As for his personality, I admit I didn't like it at first, but it's starting to grow on me. At first he just seemed like a generic pessimistic soldier. Now I appreciate his sympathy, but I don't like how it seems he can't decide whether to be a pushy cynical jerk or a Sympathetic, traumatized soldier.
3. Crow/Abe:
Abe: A middle finger to stealthy
Crow: A middle finger to the evasive
I'm sorry, I really tried to make a decision here instead of calling it a draw, but they're both just too damn good! Abe's Tracking dart makes the stealthy player's game a long and difficult uphill battle where you can never be safe, and Crow may not find you easy, but once he does you will not get away without paying a devastating price! Abe's custom shotgun feels like it belonged to an assault, and his Stasis grenades ruin the attacks of Behomoths and Krakens almost flawlessly, he's just an amazingly reliable trapper, assault and suppourt! Crow on the other hand is not reliable, while better at finding the monster than *some* trappers *cough* *cough* Griffin. Maggie and Abe are certainly a lot better at finding it; but what about when the some goes down? As Maggie your traps might buy a few extra seconds of damage, and Abe may not lose the monster immediately, but neither of them can really keep a decent monster in the fight for long without a lotta luck and skill. Crow is different. Crow not only ensures that the monster can never recover from each fight no matter how long it eats for with his armour-piercing sniper, but also prevents the monster from running with the stasis gun (Which is WAY more powerful than the already effective stasis grenades), and if he does get out of sight, can just send Gobi to ensure you don't lose sight of them so you can stasis them right back! Both are great trappers, and I simply cannot decide which is better...
As for personality, both are kinda a let-down, which is the one drawback. Abe's just a guy who says fuck a lot, and Crow barely shows any emotion; and I don't mean in some cold, edgy, assassin way. He's just quiet. You'd think at least he'd have a cool voice to go with his dark and quiet look, but for some reason they gave him some wierd Samurai voice! The first time Crow spoke I had no idea who was talking, his voice does not fit him AT ALL!
4. Kala/Bucket:
Kala: Wait, so you're telling me I can just rip all this armour off?
Bucket: Trapper, Assault and suppourt all in one!
I'm sorry! There are just too many good choices! Kala Was a cool enough idea on her own, then they decided: "Hey, why don't we just give the monster the middle finger for preparing for their fight, by taking away all its armour?". Now with Kala, every fight has a permanent effect, you have to pick your battles whenever possible, and you can't get away with sloppy ambushes anymore! Kala really makes the consequences of battle weigh down hard on the aggressive monster. The stealthy ones like me won't have so much trouble, but it does make the threat of battle a lot more terrifying... For me as Wraith, most games I just get to Stage 3 and then battle, but some games I get cornered at stage 2. When this happens usually once the dome is down I hide; decoy; hide and then fight for a minute or 2, and before my armour's gone the dome's down. Then I can just leg-it and with any luck I'll get far enough away that even though I left tracks for once, I can quickly Evolve to Stage 3 before they catch up, and then I can grab a quick snack while they run to the power relay. With Kala, I can't afford to get caught even once! Her weapon's cool too, but that's all I have to say about it; and although I am happy the hunters have teleporters now, they seem more of a situational novelty than an effective utility; unless in the hands of a player with perceptivenes, foresight, and intuition; but I can't even get a teammate that can find the monster without tracks everywhere, so that's a tall order.
As for Bucket, you really said it all in the video, but he isn't my number 1 because I think you oversold him a bit. Also, though I like him most of the time, his charisma and charm melts into condescending, pretentious, cynical comments when EMET is around. It's just really unpleasant to see such a likeable character become so two-faced just because EMET is a "less sophisticated robot", He certainly does a much better job than you, Bucket! (ROAST INTENSIFIES)
Kala's personality was different though, I really like it. At first she just seemed self-conscious, a bland personality, but an interesting feature; which was a conversation topic so it was fine with me. Watching her dropship conversations really told an interesting story, but as a character she was still blander than tofu! Kala is the one character whose personality, I feel, develops more in the fight than it does on the ship. Everyone always talks about her declining sanity, but on the ship I never see it; but if you go down as her she screams like an insane, panicked banshee! Another thing I liked was how she felt like a normal person dragged into this, when she goes down she doesn't scream "I'm down", shout for help or make any pretentious comments like "You guys are screwed without me" *ahem* Lennox. She says "I think my legs are broken." How she doesn't use the proper terminology, and how she's unsure really show how she's a fish out of water.
5. Maggie
One word: Daisy
I have to agree with you here, even though I didn't expect to... Maggie to me seemed like honourable mention material, but the more I think about her, the more I appreciate her. Maggie's just a solid choice, you cannot go wrong with Maggie. You can be the wrong suppourt, wrong medic, and wrong trapper for the job in some context for pretty much every character, but not Maggie. You fighting a Goliath? Harpoon traps stop it from jumping. Kraken? hard to fly when you're attached to the ground... Wraith? Can't just stay in its hidden feeding ground until stage 3 even if it hasn't attracted birds or left tracks; with Daisy on its tail, there's no permanent escape for a Wraith, forcing them to always be one the move which is a big problem when you need to be stealthy. Behemoth? Can't destroy elevated traps easily, and almost impossible to miss even with Maggie's large spread. Gorgon? Try jumping in out of battle to slowly weaken your prey over time with a harpoon in your ass! Maggie cannot fail, even

Now I don't really play trapper and I agree with your assault and support choices, but for me the best healer is Lazarus hands down!
Now he isn't exactly a Medic, but the fact that his Sniper Rifle makes weak spots on the Monster is just something that can mean life or death for the monster and on top of that he can go invisible.
And my favorite ability is Lazarus Device. I freaking love trolling the monster with that thing. The second a hunter dies the monster is like ''Welp he/she is done. Better move on to the next.'' and then BAM. I pop my my invincibility, go next to the dead hunter and resurrect them. I love him!

This isn’t related to the video itself but it’s related to evolve so it counts, a team that will almost always kill the monster would be Lennox, Maggie, bucket, and slim, because Maggie would harpoon him, then bucket could put a lot of drones then slim all before that could use the spore bomb. After all that they launch a full on assault then it’d most likely be dead if they domed it.

In legacy evolve- Bucket was hot trash. Probably the worst character in the game by a fair margin. The turrets didnt do enough damage and were too easily killed (despite there being 5 of them originally, but this was still true after he got dropped to 3 buffed turrets when emet was released), to offset the "downside" of having zero defensive abilities.
UAV, also trash.
Good hunters didnt need a faster "scout" to keep tabs on the monster, and the downside of having his body be immobile while scouting was terrible- Often resulting in bucket being a good 100-200 meters away from his team who kept (Rightfully) moving on after the monster and "returned" to his body.
Bucket POST stage 2- when UAV was scrapped in favor of mechanized recharge however?
Hot damn he was awesome.
All supports gaining a shield burst was a great mechanic- and his damage was tuned in line with his ability to use the recharge. In plenty of comps buckets "strength" was that he could basically reset the fight for everyone. Someone getting low? Ill pop shield burst. Medic can pop heal burst. Mecha recharge. Heres another shield burst. Heres another heal burst. Oh look everyone is topped off. And because it was a "duration" of cooldown boost, heroes like laz or slim could get multiple heal bursts off during the buff.
It was insane.
Lennox was a GREAT assault against monsters like behemoth and goliath (arguably too great), but trash against monsters like wraith and kraken. Her guns until they were converted to hitscan were crap (and great once they did the conversion, thank god). But she could never really make good use of her combo multiplier because kraken was always too far away, and wraiths sweep-range on melee meants shed always have her combo removed.
Damn i miss evolve.

Same! I was praying bucket, he actually scares the monster away with the sentry drones! I won the game with buckets drones and rocket launcher so many times! He's the best hunter for defence missions in my opinion. Monsters can't get close without getting pumelled by sentries.

I like Bucket and Slim because Bucket’s a cool robot(reminds me of r2-d2)and Slim is a cool alien human hybrid bad-ass medic hunter. I just think in general that the characters that aren’t humans are cooler if they aren’t something stupid like a piece of bread.

So I may be of the unpopular opinion that I really dislike the trapper class in general, having played a measly 1 game with each of them, and disliking it basically the entire time. That being said I love a lot of the trapper personalities, from Maggie's sort of grim outlook on things, to Jack's youthful ignorance, to Abe's experience and resourcefulness.
For me I tend to favor Supports and Medics, with Assaults being a bit farther back before inevitably the trappers. My personal list would look something like this,
5. Hyde- Hyde has this twisted sense of humor as showcased very well in the Evac trailer and the introductory video (at least on the PS4), plus he has a wrist mounted flamethrower, that's just cool.
4. Lazarus- Lazarus seems at first glance like he's a very poor medic, having only the healing burst to keep people alive in a brawl, with the Revivafier seeming to be nearly useless. Once you get some experience with the game though you begin to understand the impact of being able to bring people back on their feet or even back from the dead with no strikes against their HP. Combine his usefulness with his incredibly nonchalant attitude and you've got a win in my book.
3. Cabot- Cabot for me definitely deserves to be on this list for a few reasons, Dust tagging has the ability to keep the monster in sights once the arena gets dropped, and Cabot himself can stay extremely safe while outputting damage thanks to the Rail Cannon since he can just stand behind walls and keep shooting while the monster is occupied with other things. The Damage Amplifier is just the icing on the cake, pair it with Hyde's flamethrower, Parnell's super soldier activation, or my personal favorite Torvald's shrapnel mines into a few shotgun clips and whatever monster you're facing is either dead, or about to be.
2. E.M.E.T.- EMET may not be the best medic in the game, for that you would turn to Slim or Val, however EMET brings something to the table that only he really can, he takes the insanity of what everyone on the team is doing and brings it to a head. On top of that he is still a very good medic, with the Replay Cannon letting him fire and forget while focusing more on his team, and Healing Buoys for the sneak revives if a monster loses interest and just generally keeping people healthy.
1. Bucket- Same as in the video Bucket gets the number one spot, and for the same reasons you said, UAV is like having a second trapper minus the arena, and the damage output he has can be insane if he can get his sentries out and gets a clear line to the monster. He's just all around a good character, and the design is sort of reminiscent of old sci-fi. The personality is also very well defined, with some humor thrown in here and there so he doesn't just seem like a robot, but like a person.
