Hi Jenn, love this idea! is there a reason not to use FINAL COAT as the finishing coat?
You can, but you will need to apply several layers and I'm just not sure if it will hold up to cleaning with soap and water as much. I did use a thin layer of epoxy for the best way to protect.
Question---in the video you use a SATIN protective coat from Modern Master, but when I look at your website you only offer GLOSS and MATTE. Which would be the best protective coat to use?
It looks like we are sold out of satin, but either gloss or matte will work. Just depends on what you would like the sheen on your project to be :)
If I were to use expoxy, what would you suggest?
we carry an epoxy that is great for this project - www.apsfoils.com
Will mod podge dishwasher safe work on the surface that you covered(back of plate)
I have never tried that product, but you could give it a try.
Did you use this type of mod podge and if so, how did it work out?
So you put the dull side of foil against the glass piece I am trying to cover?
This process only works with the transparent foils that look the same from both sides and test first to see which side is the transfer side which will be placed against the foil adhesive.
I have the same question--it wasn't clear---that matte side of foil goes on the glass or the brighter side?
