So beautiful, sunny, fantastic beachess, good food etc. BUT... something missing, so sad all is gone and never come back to Mobay. What's that? SUNSPLASH FEST!! And that missing, the other things mentioned don't mean a thing. ROOTS REGGAE gone for good. Why did jamaicans let go of their great national treasure? That made Jamaica BIG.
We went here in Dec of 2017 and WOW the cruise director warned us to stay in groups and to only take the bus that leaves and arrives at the port and not to stray off and be back to the ship before it gets late. Probably a place we wont go back to. Wasn't a very pleasant place. Not really sure why Montego Bay is one of the port of calls for cruise lines.
Just came back from Montego Bay and believe me, it's a shithole like no other. Stayed directly across Doctors Cave which is a very nice beach however you cannot chill without constantly being harassed by the hustlers to buy weed and cocaine which I love both but dammit leave us alone. They refuse to take no for an answer. I think that pretty much ruined our impression about Jamaica.
