I have been to 5 of 10 plus Lovers Leap and Treasure Beach so I didn't do too bad. Thanks to having a teacher has a mom, church trip and art and craft teachers who loved planning trips.
True. Those hoteliers only come in and exploit and contribute nothing to the locals. Jamaica getting 4 millions tourist yearly. A lot could be done to the health, education and security sector with the money earned. The all-inclusive concept is of minimum benefits to the island.
Herb Jamaica has to be paying back debt. Luckily our debt to gdp has declined from 150 to 92 in the past 5 years....eventually more money will be allocated to these sectors and we will see the country grow...We the Jamaican people understand that austerity is required to get us back on track, we have been sacrificing with holding off on a salary increase, unmaintained roads etc. As it relates to health, we have bed shortages however healthcare including dentistry is free to all Jamaicans.
I did not know that our blue lagoon was in the movie blue lagoon. Wow you really learn something new every day. It's sad tho that many persons don't know that.
That's not the only one......it was featured in Club Paradise with Robin Williams and i believe it was also in the Tom Cruise movie "Cocktail". Portland is so beautiful and film makers love it! From music videos to movies like The Mighty Quinn.... awesome!!!
The Glistening Waters is cool to see but when we jumped in we were immediately stung by tons of jellyfish. Just a little FYI to keep in mind when going.
Do you think movie like 'Blue Lagoon', 'Cocktails' and 'Lord of the Flies' portrayed Jamaica in the best light? I'm glad that this video provided another opportunity to showcase our beautiful island
How can i live here all my life nd don't know my own country shm, am very proud tho, such a small island but a big beautiful breathtaking place!!Love you Jamaica.
Im always seeking the underrated attractions! Thanks for putting together some great ideas. Might I suggest some of the plantation tours with high teas as well.
I love coming to Jamaica 🇯🇲 and miss it so much right now can’t wait to go back-for me Jamaica is the most beautiful place and I would love to live there but the BEST PART OF JAMAICA IS THE PEOPLE 🇯🇲❤️
You can't just walk up to Nanny Falls! Nanny Falls is sacred and is in Maroon Territory. You mus' ask permission to enter and hire a Maroon guide to take you up there.
I will have to disagree with that. Glistening waters is not underrated at all. It is packed even during low tourist season, and for what they charge to go out and see it now, it is not worth going more than once. The waterfalls on the other hand are worth going to multiple times and are genuinely relatively unknown. What I am disappointed in not seeing in this list are any locations in cockpit country. Even most Jamaicans never land up going there, let alone tourists, and it is genuinely one of the most beautiful places I have seen. It is a Karst landscape so the entirety of it is littered with caves that were utilized to harvest guano from, and there are some stunning hikes to be done with the right tour guides. Bamboo bottom is one such hike.
Jamaican Things wont let me see new video 🙄 but thanks for the review ..Wow thanks 😁 scothies and ocho rios bar i went to both in october both amazing place
Here you can read up about John Crow Mountain.www.jamaicascene.com/attractions/port_antonio/john_crow_mountains_national_park.php Jamaica has lots of mountains; most people only think of the Blue Mountains.
Jamaica is awesome for snorkeling. Check out our video form last vacation at Jewel Runaway Bay (December 2018): th-cam.com/video/l5EjG4KHsvo/w-d-xo.html
Unless the geography has changed, the Black River IS Jamaica's longest river. At least that's what I learned in school! It is one of the few navigable rivers on the island, and played a vital role in making Black River (the capital of the parish of St Elizabeth), one of the most important coastal towns in Jamaica, during the 19th, and the early 20th century. Just a little tidbit; Black River was the first place to get electricity, (and if I'm not mistaken, the telephone), in the entire island!
The glistening waters is neat from the boat, but the water smells awful, and it is only a few feet deep with knee deep sediment on the bottom. Would have been a lot better from a kayak/canoe instead of in the water.
Mi feel like anuh jamaica mi come from cause mi never guh a any a these places yet.
u a joker enuh Atumbo ,

It is the most beautiful parish and not only that, the people are so laidback and peaceful. Beautiful people.
Where do I get those smart 🧱 bricks to build knowledge?

Jamaica has lots of mountains; most people only think of the Blue Mountains.
Beautiful
Once we tried to visit The botanical Gardens mentioned her. We could find the entrance to get in despite driving by at least three time.
The blue Lagoon movie was filmed in Fiji not Jamaica.
Correction it is Rockfortmineral spa that has the most radio active water in the world
Jamaica is awesome for snorkeling. Check out our video form last vacation at Jewel Runaway Bay (December 2018): th-cam.com/video/l5EjG4KHsvo/w-d-xo.html
