Caffeinated sodas, chocolate, etc. are definitely "allowed," but as with everything else, it should be consumed in moderation. Addiction to any substance is not healthy, caffeine included. I prefer to not be addicted to coffee and tea. Some members of the church choose to not have any caffeine at all, but it's definitely not a rule.

I mean, it's insane for sure. This kind of life is totally inconceivable and insufferable for me as a gay male (or as most of any other people...). But at least they are honest about themselves and each other. He's not in denial or spreading hate either. These marriages at least don't carry deception or secrets as other fake marriages do. If both sides want go on like this then, it is the decision they make. Whether they're content, we don't know; whether it'll work out perfectly as planned, only time will tell. I don't believe he is being honest to himself about the power of his attraction to men...and how it impedes his ability to love a woman as a LOVER. (not excluding that you can love someone without being IN LOVE with them)
I certainly disagree with his declaration, "...the only acceptable expression of sexuality and romantic feelings is within a marriage between a man and a woman. Many gay men are totally in love with their male partners and husbands. And they are able to FULLY express that love and romance with a same sex relationship. That statement makes all other relationships illegitimate. His religious views virtuously excludes any other loving relationship...and that is bias and judgmental.
If he battles with his same sex feelings, I have to ask what kind of marriage can exist in that environment battling the very sexual core of a relationship. In other words, He is in constant doubt.
Do I believe their sex life is as terrific as they espouse it is? No, I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT.
I was married to a woman for 34 years....and NO I never cheated on her with a man or a woman. However, I did love her, but we were not lovers. No matter how hard we tried, our physical relationship was at best just a physiological response to stimulation...because a man's body will physically respond to any stimulation by anyone or anything. But there was no emotional/physical connection.
I have two friends who are in man/woman relationships. And they also will regale how wonderful their physical relationships are...endlessly proclaiming how GREAT it is. But each endless proclamation of how wonderful and great it is, causes me to wonder, who are they trying to convince, me or themselves.
Far to often, these men latter get caught having extra-marital affairs...because it is natural for them to seek out what they are attracted to.

I would say that too if not for the context "my attraction is really 90% men" saying that he notices a sexual attraction to men 80% more than women. Although his preference is men, he does notice a sexual attraction to women but not nearly as much. In this context I believe this man is bisexual, it doesn't matter the percentage of the attraction nor the dominance of that attraction. I was born and raised in the mormon church and I'm also bisexual. Being both a Mormon and a member of the LGBT community is an extremely difficult position to be in. The church tries to avoid judgement and appear accepting, but the way they go about it is far more damaging (I think) than just flat out condemning any non heteronomative sexual preference. We are taught that it's ok that you feel a certain way and that it only becomes a sin if you act upon it. Its kind of like saying that it's ok to want to punch someone in the face, but doing so is wrong. The problem with this line of thinking is that it is overly simplistic. Wanting to punch someone is not a defining characteristic that makes an individual who they are, but sexual identity/preference is.
