I know people are huge Em fans and I respect it cuz Em is truly one of the many greats with an insane ability to connect syllables and have insane flow with changes of pace over a beat and he’s a legend in accapella battle rap as well. However there’s clear levels when I objectively observe and listen. I don’t see Cassidy losing to Em in an actual battle tho it would be possibly close I think. Now the best of the best battlers I don’t see not bodying Eminem bad which are guys like Daylyt mook b dot Chilla Ave geechi twork on his A game and clips DNA n lux at their best Em got beat clear by Marv, rhymefest, mc juice, and otherwize so I don’t see him coming close to the very best of today’s guys And the very best of Joe met the very worst of hollow and still quit end of the day. Also very best of Cassidy met one of the worst dizz ever and it was still a close 2-1 for Cass and king Los at his best got a clear loss 2-1 to Daylyt on extreme cruise control, and micky factzzz at his best took the clear L to a consistent good DNA These are the best of the best lyricists in the game many of whom came up battling before they were even popping, battling todays battlers and they are hardly getting by so I think u gotta be careful when u say things like guys like thought n crooked n Royce n em etc… can just go in there and cook whoever cuz end of the day a major L is bound to happen to the industry side given what we seen each side is capable of when it comes to battling And I think we also gotta be careful using the word industry cuz Los em Cass n many others all came up battling before they was poppin. People are cult like in the way they are oddly confusing cassidy still being relevant via his own promotion, with not getting bodied by Ars in their actual battle in Cass own hometown
Bro.....know the history. Battling is nothing like it was in the original days. Battling had beats, time limits etc when Em was doing. Em was one of the best battle rappers in all of America YEARS BEFORE HE EVER TOUCHED HIS PEAK 😂. What are you saying. The Eminem of today going back in time would have left Juice sleeping on the floor my man 😂. Man just gunna forget Eminem was Battling in 1994 bro. Cassidy was nowhere. Em comes from the down an dirty Battling. No Smack DVD. None of that. Your gunna say after 3 classic albums, 3 diamond albums, 15 grammys, an Oscar, and Stan......that hes the same 22 year old Battling at St Andrew's Hall? Broooo....lmaooo. Eminem got 10000x better with time. Cassidy has NEVER GOTTEN BETTER. Ever. Hes has never evolved. He can do one style, one lane. Eminem would be spitting circles around him. Wild take my guy. Know the history. Current battle rap you have 2 WHOLE MONTHS to research your opponents and come up with stuff lmfao. Eminem was wandering into hostile territories and ripping. Ask anyone from NYC about Eminem at The Lyricist Lounge lmfao
The difference between todays battling and the battling Em use to do is that today its all written. U know ur opponents before hand, u got weeks to come up with ur punchlines and bars. When Em was doing it, it was like 95% off the dome battling. Em would battle 20 dudes in a row and beat them all according to some Detroit battle rap legends. So ofc ppl like Daylyt would have the advantage these days. Its much easier for them to dig up dirt about Em since his whole life has been public for 25 years, i mean he is the biggest rapper of all time. If it was purely a freestyle battle, no written bars, i reckon Em could take anyone. I mean Mook thinks the same. He says the best battle rappers would have to team up together against Em in a freestyle battle to have a shot, and he is confident that Em could still body anybody. In the end, todays battle rap is a whole different game than 90s battle rap. Today its all written, back then it wasnt.
@@JJ-ji5ey I thought it was in my comment but i know I at least told someone else this in another reply to some other guy that didn’t know the full capacity of battle rap history outside of Eminem, but I will share it here now if I didn’t already. None of the dudes from Daylyts to luxs era knew their opponents when they came up battling. It was on sight whenever someone thought u couldn’t fuk with a certain dude or if u bump into another cat and turns out he’s a battler y’all may challenge each other right then and there. And in that era you had a bunch of writtens that you could rely on at any given time but u also had the ability to freestyle on the spot and knew that it was best to be all around cuz the ones that go off the top if slick enough coudl steal the show. But if they weren’t slick enough off the top it was always acceptable to get destroyed by even nothinh. It writtens if the person wasn’t slick enough to clown you for them in a good clever way while going off the top the entire battle himself. Or if his off the tops just weren’t good enough in general. And then you had a guy like Ben10 who could body loaded lux in school through off the top rhymes right then and there Only way you could get disqualified for using writtens is if the battle league actually requested that you cannot use writtens. All off the top. And yes they had more of those back in Eminem’s time and prior than they do today for sure but still writtens we’re also accepted if that rule didn’t apply since the very beginning of battling. Even lord finesse and percee P was majority if not all writtens and even lots of Eminem’s battles had a lot of writtens in them. I believe only 5 percent of his freestyles against 20 guys may have been writtens give or take exaggerations cuz he could go off the top very well too. Nothing like mc juice or Supernat or king los but up there with the other greats for sure Also as f
He battled juice in 97. And let’s not act like Eminem was doing his best performance. The rap olympics Eminem battle rap was way better. The juice one you can tell Em didn’t come with his best material. Had you had Eminem recite some of the lines he said at the rap olympics to juice or even some of the freestyles he would do a year or some months later, he would easily be on par if not better
@@TMan10103 nope not by a long shot at all. Em at the rap Olympics wasnt that much better def not the level of juice. Plus it works both ways. That shit would be dope they should have like higher level rap leagues like main stream rap battles
Em a real one he will battle if need be...he ain't gotta prove anything to anyone but himself...he might not initiate but he dam sure isn't backing down to nobody...I rekon
When has or will he ever NEED to ? Juice killed him & he never took anyone else on as an opponent SINCE. So I’m not sure why so many people think Marshall would do damage in this day & time, just because he’s a good writer. If you love the craft the way he claims he does, he would’ve been jumped in the ring with somebody.
🙏🏻
I know people are huge Em fans and I respect it cuz Em is truly one of the many greats with an insane ability to connect syllables and have insane flow with changes of pace over a beat and he’s a legend in accapella battle rap as well. However there’s clear levels when I objectively observe and listen. I don’t see Cassidy losing to Em in an actual battle tho it would be possibly close I think.
Now the best of the best battlers I don’t see not bodying Eminem bad which are guys like Daylyt mook b dot Chilla Ave geechi twork on his A game and clips DNA n lux at their best Em got beat clear by Marv, rhymefest, mc juice, and otherwize so I don’t see him coming close to the very best of today’s guys
And the very best of Joe met the very worst of hollow and still quit end of the day. Also very best of Cassidy met one of the worst dizz ever and it was still a close 2-1 for Cass and king Los at his best got a clear loss 2-1 to Daylyt on extreme cruise control, and micky factzzz at his best took the clear L to a consistent good DNA
These are the best of the best lyricists in the game many of whom came up battling before they were even popping, battling todays battlers and they are hardly getting by so I think u gotta be careful when u say things like guys like thought n crooked n Royce n em etc… can just go in there and cook whoever cuz end of the day a major L is bound to happen to the industry side given what we seen each side is capable of when it comes to battling And I think we also gotta be careful using the word industry cuz Los em Cass n many others all came up battling before they was poppin.
Oh and we gotta stop fronting like Ars did not desecrate Cassidy and body his soul away.
And then you had a guy like Ben10 who could body loaded lux in school through off the top rhymes right then and there
Only way you could get disqualified for using writtens is if the battle league actually requested that you cannot use writtens. Nothing like mc juice or Supernat or king los but up there with the other greats for sure
Also as f
He battled juice in 97. And let’s not act like Eminem was doing his best performance. The rap olympics Eminem battle rap was way better. The juice one you can tell Em didn’t come with his best material. Had you had Eminem recite some of the lines he said at the rap olympics to juice or even some of the freestyles he would do a year or some months later, he would easily be on par if not better
@@TMan10103 nope not by a long shot at all. Em at the rap Olympics wasnt that much better def not the level of juice. Plus it works both ways. Juice improved daily and his freestyle off the top is maybe second or third only to Supernat and king los Juice would’ve ripped him all the same with some $hit like “if Eminem test us we scrapping his azz off the wall like asbestos”
Or “I beat so many rappers I should own a plantation” “I’m like an outta work doctor with no patients”
U can see in juice freestyles he was untouchable by cats the caliber of Eminem each year getting better
People love to forget everything goes both ways especially with they favorites
I wanna see a ROYCE vs DAYLYT battle!!!!!! That would be epic
Lol royce acting like canibus didn't take the biggest L for the industry 😂😂
Bis wasn't really industry if we're being honest.
He wasn’t active since the 90s he definitely don’t count
we already have Disaster vs Crooked December
Not only did this battle not happen but diz can't even battle no more and his culture vulture ass got boo'd his last showing and lost to real sikh of all ppl
I love 5'9 but him saying he would battle anyone but didn't even respond to Mickey Factz, idk.
As a true Cassidy fan he’s not on nobodies side Lmao he’s in the middle looking around or whatever KDot said🔥
"I'm not on the outside looking in
I'm not on inside looking out
I'm in the dead fucking center
Looking around"
Kendrick Lamar is over rated af and that line is mediocre, that ain't fire. You're delusional.
It would be for the culture...no artist magnitude is bigger than the culture...why else would he do it?
..That's all the sense a real MC need...
Royce VS mickey would be Dope AF
that would be a hell of a battle
Let Cassidy and Eminem vs Loaded Lux and Dalyt. So epic.
It would be epic but they'd probably lose to be honest.
@@aro7975differently day and loaded would 30 them.
I got a record with Cassidy and Eminem is absolutely in my Goat List …it would be a historical moment if we ever got the them together on a battle rap stage. Royce in my opinion would not have a hard time coming down and doing the lords work against any battle rapper….and there’s ALOT of battle rappers…that’s not to say they wouldn’t eat I’m just saying Royce is at the tippy top of top tier.
Royse would get eaten alive by the top
@@johnmallqui8667 clown take
@@johnmallqui8667 stop it bro, Royce literally sets up his bars in his commercial songs like a battle rapper. He can double time, lay out double and triple entendres and his breath control is impeccable. Let’s not act like battle rappers haven’t already given him flowers cause they know he’s a goat. King Los and Daylyt both hold him in high regards and they are top tier lyrical giants. I don’t think you know what you’re talking about lol.
@Savage Matthew cassidy can do all that shit to but its not going to translate to battle rapping lol just ask joe 😂
@@johnmallqui8667 Joe and Royce don’t rap the same Joe Budden even has stated that, again as I said before I actually have a record with Cassidy so I know first hand how he structures his set ups. I guess you’re going with the “industry rappers can’t be or beat battle rappers” theory? has it occurred to you that a lot of artists come in rapping a certain way and once a label picks them up they have to cater to big business and consumerism? Guys like Cassidy, Royce, Em and Budden were underground at some point battling rappers as well as making songs till they popped. What you think that all goes away? When literally their whole career you’ve seen them battle other major artists? I digress. Matter of fact since you said it what battle rapper do you think would absolutely wash Royce?
Most importantly - It has the be the right setting w/ (Seasoned / Cultured Fans & Judges). This is another case of a Batman vs Iron man scenario one is tactical and the other is technical, and how much prep time do you give them? 😂
Man Royce collaboration with our boy ez mil ....
Em vs Cass
=
Unstoppable force
VS
Unmovable object
and here we go !! !!
In this corner an unstoppable force
In this corner, Cassidy
How about 5'9 and Em battle? Just for the fun of it
No point. I'd rather have another collab album with them. With Royce producing the whole thing.
@@zetsutsuletsu2034 But there is a point. These guys are always battling whenever they are together. These are competitive it's their blood just when Busta and on calm down. They are not like "am better than you" it's more like "how do I top your bars" that's why i still enjoy bad meets evil even today because they bring out the best in each other and i enjoyed that. That's why am saying just for the fun of it
Cassidy broke down Eminem's one syllable rap
He broke down the way I am that’s it em is way more complex than that
Lol no he didn't. He broke down the one syllable rap scene that he used which is still dope as f. Only dumb if you aren't creative and rhyme club with dub with hug like a middle schooler watching BET reruns. Eminem WOULD Squash him easily
but where is Cassidys scientific rap ?
Bro that was how em used to rap BEFORE 2014 He brought up a song from the 2000s when eminem's had a over 20 year career, look up any eminem song after 2008 and em BEEN doing multis, rhyming 10 syllables a bar, Going crazy. Eminem got Lyrically WAY more technically impressive after he got off drugs in 2009 till now. Cass brought up eminems OLD style of rap. Any song from 2013 to now and em schemes are way more complex.
@@flowbossandre Exactly Em now a monster his older music was much more enjoyable though because he wasn't as technical but he nice with skills
WE STILL NEVER GOT "CASSIDY VS LLOYD BANKS" LOL
eminem is not in charge of his own likeness or his music . hes owned .
All facts
Look at Royce checkin boxes 😂😂
Royce Vs jadakiss you would get bodied
I would've been all ears for Eminem vs Game or Eminem vs Joe Budden, but i'll take a battle between Eminem vs Cassidy too.
LOLLLLLLLL @ JOE BUDDEN VS EM..YOUR TROLLING RIGHT ?
@@JT_for_Three, no i'm not. I think those two would've had a pretty good battle.
Joe Budden definitely is a top lyricist I know we know him from pump it up lmao but if you listen to his music you'll know he's sick with it
@@hotboylee5able, I agree. He's got some good songs like "Dum Out", "Who Killed Hip-Hop", and "Russian Roulette", but he's also been pretty good with diss tracks as well.
Em v the game nun bout a clout chase situation and em avoided it smartly
Shout out First Born and iron fist. The hip hop shop is like our dojo.
Royce vs King Los on RBE
ARP got that bag yooooooo!!!
We need a Royce and Mistah Fab rematch
💯💯💯💯💯💯
Cassidy is a monster hes been battling his entire career i dont think eminem is beating him his classic freestyle is one of the best ever
“He ain’t battle mook he ain’t battle daylyt…” he just said everybody was suppose to desecrate Cass and that was just another case of those comments but I forget Royce is the all knowing god of Rap/HipHop

Sometimes you gotta say F it and just do it. Em should get wit Smack or something and set it up. Make it like Summer Madness and Em would be the last to battle whoever the fans decide to pick. Never got the Em vs. Canibus. This would def be dope to see in todays format.
It's wild big sean get no battle rap talk. The guy literally got his buzz from battling.
If Em is the best rapper alive then why he can’t come back and defend it. When people get to a certain level they act scared
On another topic. I really wish eminem would come out and take these questions not royce etc. Cuz I'd like the interviewers to be more focused on royce. He has a lot to offer but can't beat the eminem questions.
Royce wanted to battle Lupe but Lu insecure and went home and wrote a dis route song towards Royce 59 and I guess that other guy started to send him diss too, they like double-team Royce 59, but Royce wanted battle lupe that is all
Lies, Royce didn't want to battle lupe, royce kept bragging about how good he was but never wanted to actually rap on their short lived podcast.
He talking about cassidy battles like the whole battle rap community aint been clowning dudes performances for years lol.
Not to mention that legendarily terrible joe budden performance 😅
The only reason Em went at MGK is because of their history and the verse he did on the Tech N9ne song "no reason" which is what spawned rap devil then the killshot.
You for “NotAlike”
Mgk didn’t deserve a em diss ..

1 Word...... Lupe😊
I'm a huge fan of battle rap, I actually used to battle in my local league and even did one battle on KOTD's platform and several in BOTZ, so I am well aware of the culture and I would say with 100% confidence that Eminem could hop on any battle stage and would likely get the W against anyone they wanted to put him against. That definitely isn't the case for pretty much any other mainstream artist but eminem's pen is on par with the best in the current battle scene(a.k.a. the best in the world) and the battle fans would show Em so much love, he'd have the building shaking every time he said anything even close to 🔥.
Wrong lol
Em is washed up silly 🙈
Wtf this ninja talkn bout hollow bodied Buddens lmfao
Punch line and wordplay Cassidy
Cassidy punchlines, and wordplay is terrible and outdated

But eye love Royce still mentioned crooked I
Cassidy held his own with Nas- Cant fade me
Why people act like Royce last 2 albums weren't classics?
I know EM wouldn’t do it but wouldn’t that be the ultimate homage to hip hop if he did
Yeah that’s mean, the level is still the level man, i can only name few battles rappers to actually be able to reach these pen level.
I respect Royce lyrically. But giving compliment-like sneak disses shows personal insecurities. If you gone speak on a Man you should be ready to battle. Royce grew up with these rules. He knows this. He gone speak on Cass but never leave the couch.
Arsonal murdered Cassidy
So you battle Cassidy
I’m rocking with Cassidy
I agree
Eminem will NEVER accept the challenge, if you don't know you ain't a ginuine hip hop battle rap fan
I watch stuff here and there. Do you think Em would lose bad? Em’s background is battle rap but hasn’t done it in forever. I’m genuinely asking because I’m interested in your take.
The only way eminem actually battles is if Jay Z wanted to battle. Its not about him accepting a challenge, its about him not lowering himself to battle someone thats not on his tier, Cassidy has bars has great technical skills but he wasnt a major success mainstream wise, and he's had 4 battles with 2 of them not being good overall performances. Cassidys lane is more like Royce/Lloyd Banks/etc. Guys that have a few plaques but werent huge mainstream successes, but also have bars, battling eminem isnt realistic
hollow smoked joe lol
Joe had better punches but his delivery was dead
@@BKbomber92 that's why he was smoked
That battle was lack luster period. Hollow has way better performances than that & joe sounded like he was reading his rhymes off a notebook lol.. budden has always been my fav out the slaughter but I know Royce, crooked & joel are more equipped to battle.
Cassidy would body em
I think arsonal is the one that really gave Cass a run for his money.. goodz won the crowd that night and edged Cassidy then hitman i expected better but Cass got the edge on him that’s just my opinion though
Lux is a different body of work, hence why they never did that.
Who's saying they want to see Em and Cassidy battle?
So much of Em's lines would go over heads, he might not get the immediate crowd reaction you think (after the initial love he would get 1st rd) And once you lose the crowd, the pen don't matter...and I'm the biggest Em fan..but I also know how this works..
@Nick Sulli I kinda agree with you there, I guess it matters whether he'd be on something like Smack vs KOTD
Joe Budden would cook em. Cassidy would EMBARRASS Em.
But Budden wouldn't though
