Those marantzs are great .great sound and durabity.i had mine sence i bought it in 1975 and it still works.new one are just dont last long all plastic.
Nick, thanks for the video. I have a Marantz 2250B that I using last night and the right channel was not as loud as the left. I pushed several of the buttons on the unit until I rotated the tone control knob and the right channel was finally equal to the left. Sticky pot. Deoxit? I have not done this before so your video is extremely helpful. Finally, I had an issue with the balance slider and took it to a tech in Ashville NC who stated he had to bypass it because it was not functioning any longer. This has been my receiver since high school so it has not been abused, but he bypassed the slider so I am looking for a replacement on e-bay. Thanks again for the video. Dave
i recently serviced my bro's 2230. deoxit, recap and aligned the amp.the previous owner had done the led swap. i undid it. i went back to incandescents. i thought it looked unnatural with leds. i got totally lost in the sound for hours and hours and hours. . they are special units.
Hello Sir - Yeah I know some people prefer the older warmer look no disagreement here. It's all personal choice. My only real concern from the incandescents is the amount of heat they throw. Thanks for the comment and perspective.
Of course man - If you are ever up in Colorado hit me up. And the Lamps are called Turkish Lamps. My wife found them in a consignment shop but they are what we always wanted in your record corner. They used to be affordable but they've gotten a little crazy lately. Search for Vintage Hanging Lamps too there is some fun stuff out there. Cheers!
Excellent delve into procedure and safety for cleaning my Marrantz receiver, instructions and his demeanor are on target. Thank you.
Thanks man!
Thanks so much for this valuable video. Finally got my DeOxit and followed your steps and got my 2245 back in shape. Cheers!

Agreed they just built stuff better back then and basic maintenance is totally doable.

Great video Thanks 👍
Love the Phish lot shirt
Old School from a buddy who loved to cross the show Lost with Phishdom... The Joker is a fun guy.
Pro Tip: There's a DeOx for cleaning and a DeOX for lubing - it's important to know the difference and how and where to use each 👍

The plastic wrap over the bolt head is a great idea...very groovy
I use my air compressor and blow mine out every few years. The big Marantz is built like a tank !
Thanks for the vid. I feel like we should be friends. Nice shirt! What are those lamps called that are in the corner of your room? They're very cool!

Truth
Are you near Charlotte n.c.?
No, Colorado - sorry
Background music is too distracting. Otherwise great video. Thanks
Thanks for the feedback
Dude, Potentiometer.
Stick with pot.
Try Never Dull !
Would love to enjoy your video but I can't take the background music
Appreciate the feedback we are working on getting some different music but honestly it's more of a mix issue than music issue.
Totally disagree. Great background music. Chill and not too loud. Way more fun to watch it like that.
I too liked the video, but the music was definitely a distraction.
Ya gotta kill the music.
