What makes this video great is Derrick Jackson's support of all the musicians playing. A well-respected musician able to credit and endorse others in their gift is a wonderful sight to see!
I so upset that so many churches are going to keyboards and either don’t have a Hammond or don’t play it. There is no other sound but a Hammond that can usher in the spirit and flow the spirit
@@colbalt95 Not sure about which is more versatile... it is a matter of opinion and depends on who is playing. I strongly feel that for worship service... the sound of organ seems to be more suited.
I love love love musicians coming together playing together not a competition but just learning from each other giving out little tips tricks teaching each other as men and brothers
Absolutely love organ music! I can listen to some great organis all night.... Awesome! Brothers and truly the best was saved for last. Now where is Keith Moncrief, Peter Woodruff, and Derek Tynes.... 3 of Pittsburgh's finest of Organists that I know of
This is a great video never seen anything like this before and I am a COGIC daughter. Keep on doing it.....God bless yall musicians....keep God first and always desire more annointing along with your gift that God has bless you young men with.
This is just wonderful........ I love me some good ole organ playin and foot pedal action and all i can say is To God Be The Glory!!!!!!! Praying everyday that The Lord would place this on my life i want to play for him
I remember learning to play in the COGIC about 30 years ago there is no music like it i played some with Rev. Charles Nicks in the mid 80's great gift from God now sitting on a PHD in Music@a Pastor in Houston Texas, keep up the good work
Grew up with Jimmie "Bo" Lee in Mississippi. He's one anointed and humble young man. Moved to Memphis for 6 years after undergraduate school to be under the leadership of a musical and anointed family the Jackson's, Barbara, Sharon, and Maestro Derrick Jackson where there Father was Pastor. Mr Derrick is the same way everytime you see him, humble and will help anybody!
I truly was overjoyed to hear the first young man in the red shirt. I do not know his name. I felt the anointing of the Holy Ghost when Jimmie Lee, Jr. played "Great Is Thy Faithfulness". He played it. I enjoyed Alvin "Trey" Coleman. Steven Golden was very good. This is an exceptional post.
Absolutely fantastic display of musicianship much more diverse than Jermaine Griggs shows on his video primarily due to the stylings of Midwestern players who perform at a different improvisation then West Coast musicians. I wish we could see the hand of them what demonstrated.
Someone please tell me the name of the guy who is singing! He is an awesome organist and I want to see if there are any clips of him. Thanks! And all these guys were great in their own way!
At the very beginning I would have enjoyed just hearing the organ and not the vocals, whoever is singing, that is NOT your calling. That organ though!!!!!! , MY GOD OF ZION.
Rakan bin Mohamed its a characteristic of playing the organ. Its adds an effect to chords that make it sound much better.. That's almost like asking a guitarist why does he add vibrato to his notes or add the wammy effect with their chords or notes
mike john thank you, I understand that but I guess it's a matter of personal preference. I like hearing the organ without vibrato for long periods and then if the vibrato is added, it's a nice change. But I find so many organists switch it off and on every 10 seconds and I guess I find it boring when it's so predictable.
@hapkido4 yes you are hating..lol..if he was Soon off..you wouldn't have used the phrase hating...smh..Dude was a Monster...straight up..I am a EXPERIENCED musician..know what I'm talking about
Johnny Brewer of course lol he's one of the greatest gospel organists ever even though they are different instruments he's one of the best in the business lol

I cannot explain to anyone how much I love the Hammond Organ. I could listen to clips like these over and over and over. The chords Mercy!!!
Almost 11 years now i still come back and get those goosebumps from this video ❤
When the first guy started moving that yes Lord into a rumble. I felt that in the sanctum of my being
I so upset that so many churches are going to keyboards and either don’t have a Hammond or don’t play it. There is no other sound but a Hammond that can usher in the spirit and flow the spirit
Very true..I take organ over keyboards
True but not every church can afford a B3 They are $20k + new and the up keep is just as costly.
It takes a lot more to play a Hammond vs a keyboard as well. You have to be very skilled to play both but the Organ is definitely a lot harder.
@@jhilladay Organ is harder then it gets easier. Playing piano is easier then it gets harder. Piano is just an overall more versatile instrument.

Was this an organ clinic from AIM 2012?
At the very beginning I would have enjoyed just hearing the organ and not the vocals, whoever is singing, that is NOT your calling. That organ though!!!!!! , MY GOD OF ZION.
i see derrick jackson
Damn white shirt..
is this a class at the cogic aim
If there are 4 players, it must be organistS. Come on, saints. Surely we know the difference between singular and plural.
Wow 1:00
I know Jimmie!!!!!!!!!
Very good playing, but why do organists switch the tremolo on and off so much? It's like it's flipped every four bars.
It Creates Emphasis On Chords
Because they can.
Rob Carter Anybody can flip the lever on a leslie speaker. It doesn't take a lot of skill, but why so often? It's like a roller coaster for some.

thank u carl clark I already knew; I can play organ myself
I knew that besides I play organ myself
He plays everything
Where was this held? The guy in the blue shirt is really over playing. I'm a drummer and know that
Great organists
The test was clearly to stick with the out of key singing??👀👀👀
Why's everyone laughing?
Third guy is off key.
Yep! That would be Jimme Lee, Jr. He sounded awesome. Just in the wrong key!
Nah...the key was high for the singer..so he tried to adjust some of the high notes which sounded a bit flat.
3rd guy push him to be to high
Eeew that chord @5:31 though.....
Jimmie Lee Jr was out of key on What A Mighty God We Serve and didn't use appropriate chord progressions for the song. Otherwise, all was good.
I WILL BE IN BALTIMORE FOR THIS AIM CONFRENCE WATCH OUT ORGANIST WHEN I PLAY I HOLD BACK NO PUNCHES.
Wow the guy in the blue killed it all WOW!
