I ordered 105 106 107. Tried 105 and It was perfect for me. I have very dry skin. Used no primer but did apply a setting spray. Long day and 14 hrs later it looked pretty darn good. I am 49.
Also 105, combo skin, age 51. In summer with a tan 109 is great for me. And yes, where I live the wind chill was -56 degrees Wednesday morning. Bleh.....

Nooo don’t gettison the shade range- are you nuts?! Finally a foundation that doesn’t pull yellow!! I’ve loved it ever since I heard about it from Thataylaa and I stock up every time I’m in the States.
As a make up artist I’ve been on the hunt for unique shades to match those clients who most foundations will pull top yellow or pink. These are an incredible find and have really been a game changer for my kit.
This is my go to favorite foundation right now. I’m 56 and I don’t use a primer with it..I’m dry and only lightly set it in my t-zone with a little translucent powder. I’m light to medium skin tone this time of year and the shade 102 is a great shade for me. I get slight settling in my smile lines but I do with almost all foundations. I’m definitely much paler than you are, so I can use 101 and 102 and they match my skin tone better than most other foundation shades. I don’t know what they do to get the colors just so, but for me (when blended out) it doesn’t pull pink or gray, unlike other lighter shades of Foundation on me that can pull very pink or very yellow. Really loves these shades. Very very hard to get your hands on!!!
Rosezliving YES!!! I almost think that Foundation makers are matching to suntanned or fake tan colors, which are just not natural skin tone shades, they always make people look orange or yellowish. I think these shades are just so much more realistic skin tone shades and that’s what I’m looking for. I want a more natural makeup look to even our my skin tone without looking too made up, this fits that requirement for me. And the swatch tests are very deceiving with this foundation, it blends out so much less pink or gray or green than it does when swiping a thick layer on your arm with your fingers. It just looks like skin. I’m really loving it but having a hard time finding it, I even traveled to a Walgreens a half hour away to get my hands on 102! Worth the drive though, love how it looks and wears and for $7?!? Score!!!
They are CRAZY hard to get ahold of! I've been trying to get my hands on it for what seems like a year, since I heard Taylor (thataylaa if you watch her channel) reviewing and raving about it! It's her FAVORITE! I have very pale skin, and TO MY LUCK... they are ALWAYS out of 101 and 102! I think I'd be 101, but I'd even settle for 102 just to try it! LOL. It is NEVER in stock! 😕
Frozen music that's unfortunate! 😕 It's so hard to find very pale shades with a LOT of foundations. Affordable or high end! Most cater to the more medium ranges and it sucks. There is a HUGE number or shades lacking for both very fair skin tones as well as really deep skin tones! It sucks that most companies haven't jumped on that bandwagon, yet, of being more inclusive! I get so sick of going to buy a new foundation and not being able to get it because they don't have my shade! Then the beauty rep working will say "oh, but you could also get this white mixer..." blah, blah, blah... I SHOULDN'T NEED A MIXER FIND A SHADE THAT MATCHES ME! I should be able to pick ONE foundation and be done! 🙄🤦🏻♀️
Probably one of my favorite things about you is that you always show us three different ways to put on the foundation either using your fingers or a brush or damp beauty sponge. You always go out into natural light and then you always go outside and you were not afraid to bring that camera up close. I’m 42 years old and I totally appreciate everything that you do to show us what real women look like out in the real world and not behind beauty lights.
I am 65. Bought my first foundaytion 50 years ago when I was 15. I have worn hundreds over the years. Right now this CYO is my favorite foundation. When I wear this one to work it lasts all day, and does not settle in my lines or lpores. I wear shade 107 and it's a decent match for me. I feel lucky to have found it cause it saves me money and is sold in a Walgreens in my area. I love these foundation Friday videos. Thank you for taking the time to do them. Be well.
So glad you did this! Finding your shade can be difficult but it really has a tenancy to sort of adjust to your face shade as long as you can get close as possible to your range. What's weird about this foundation is that there are lots of us who need these oddball undertones. For me personally I had always had to make it work until I tried NARS and then CYO. Though I'm thrilled to have been included in it, this shade range is not ideal for most.
@@sawamichelle isn't it kind of amazing how the undertones are so spot on for us and seem so strange to others? Lol! My "most of the time" shade is 105 but can get as fair as 101/102. What I really love is the undertone of my summer shade (108) because I get pretty dark but not in the traditional "tan" sense. Just an all around delightful product. Love their powder blushes as well!

I love this foundation. I'm pretty fair and I have yellow/oliveish undertones. It's really hard to find a good undertone match. The 103 is a good match for me in the summer. I like the 101 and the 103 mixed together. I also like them to mix with other things. The finish is so pretty and I love the way it wears. I really wish they would fix the shade range
Thanks for the review. I'm glad about the shade range leaning olive, since I have a really hard time finding an olive undertone. So I don't think they need to "jetison" the shade range, just maybe add some shades with neutral undertones. Some of us out there do have that green undertone, so I understand it doesn't work as well for you, but I'm happy it's there
This is my FAVORITE foundation! I have heard about the issues with color matching before. I don’t have that issue. I have a lighter complexion with a cool undertone and I wear shade 104. It does look a little gray when you swatch it, but when I apply it, it is a great shade for me. I have oily skin and find that with a primer it wears amazing for a 10-12 hour day. I am 41 years old and don’t find that it settles into any of my lines/imperfections.
I love, love my CYO in 101. I have very mature very very fair skin and have always had problems with all foundations being too yellow. This one just absolutely works and I have dry skin.
This is my holy grail foundation! It oxidizes on me too, but only about half a shade. My skin is VERY dry. So I do not set it with powder. I only use a dewy setting mist and I'm good to go. I'm 37 yrs. old.
Thank you for reviewing this foundation. I tried this after seeing Thatayla's review and I am lucky, I'm a perfect match for 104. I work in a hospital, most of the time either fully gowned or in a very warm environment. This foundation stays put. At the end of my 10.5 hour shift, my face is still skin like and I have minimal wear on my t=zone. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this foundation.
CYO is one of the few foundations that has good shade matches for me 🥳 I’m very pale though (I wear 101/102), so you nailed it by suggesting that fair skin would enjoy this. Even aside from shade though, this is my favorite foundation of all time. No primer, no powder, no settling (my skin is very dry). Thanks for the awesome review! Hopefully they expand their shade range soon, especially considering that this product has become popular enough to sell out so often. ☺️
My HG foundation! I wear 101 and 102/103 in summer. I have overall normal skin with a slightly oily t-zone. This applies beautifully and seamlessly. Lasts a full 12 hr work day and fades gracefully. I will never be without it!
Wow! That foundation is absolutely gorgeous and smoothing on you. Beautiful glow, super youthful. Way worth mixing if that’s how it looks on you. You’ve never looked better and that’s saying a lot because you always look amazing. And the red lippie. And the red lippie with the glasses, man oh man!
I usually don’t watch Foundation Fridays videos, but I heard so many great things about this CYO, that I had to click on this video and see what my ones favorite TH-camr’s had to say about it. Too bad my Walgreens doesn’t carry it and I hate buying online.
YES CYO PLEASE LISTEN!! I have super pale, very yellow undertoned skin and their palest shade is SO dark and pink for me 😢 A lot of ppl rave about this foundation and I'd love to give it a fair shake - especially since I have very dry, aging skin. I agree that they need to make more shades but getting rid of shades seems a bit pointless. Olive skin tones as well as neutral skin tones have a hard time finding a good match, especially at drugstore prices. If anything they should of course expand the shade range to be inclusive.
CYO is my favorite! I'm 45 with very dry skin. I find it wears flawless on me for a very long time. I work 12 hour shifts at the hospital and this is the only foundation I've found that works for me and looks great after work too. I use the shade 101 which is a good shade for me. It doesn't settle into my fine lines, but I use the silk canvas primer always. That seems to work the best for me. I use to switch up my foundations all the time, but now I've been wearing this one consistently for almost a year. It's so so nice.

I'm 50 and since I live in Puerto Rico the climate is so dry and hot, this work perfect for me, but as you explained the range is off so I just mix it with the Flower Beauty foundation that is very yellow in all shades, I have like 5 shades of the CYO and 3 of the flower beauty and ended up mixing whatever I grab of the one and the other. That combination looks exactly as my favorite foundations, Channel Les Beige and Armany L. Silk. Great review!

I watched this video and I happen to go to Walgreens today and walked past CYO DISPLAY and the hey had testers. I put some on the back of my forearm and I was impressed. It feels like skin so smooth and nice the color was pretty darn good for me. So I may purchase some. Thank you Angie.
I use it and I really like it. I use shade number 104 and seemed to be perfect for my skin type and color. I'm 63 and I've tried a lot of foundations and this one is great for me.

I have CYO in shade 102 and it is a lot to dark and a little too pink on me . I can make it work but since it oxidized a bit through the day, the slightly too dark became very too dark by the end of the day. I have given up getting shade 101 as it is always sold out and by the time I get the notification that it is back in stock, it is out again. That brings me to the reason for my long remark. I don't get why brands don't up the game when something is really wanted and needed in the community. If 101 is always sold out, make more of it. That isn't hard to figure out. Every one loves it, make more shades! Make it available in more places. You're going to make money off of it! So easy to figure out but they don't seem to get it. I love how this foundation looked on my 65 year old skin but since it is such a pain to get and isn't perfect as far as shade range, I won't be wearing it much. I can get a good look from many other foundations so not worth the frustration and hassle this one brings. Thank you for your review as always. Still the best YT'er reviewer, ever! I think L.A girl makes a olive mixer now. I watched a TH-camrs ( I can't remember her name exactly )video about it so check it out.i think her name was saamage or something like that. In addition, they make other mixer colors besides olive.
Another TH-camr with oily skin at the time called this her Holy Grail. I just could not get it to work on me. I found it heavy and accentuated pores. BUT, I will of course give it another try using your techniques as I thought it looked great on you and you are my skin twin. Thanks for showing different methods of application!

I have been waiting for you to review this! I 100% agree with you on this foundation. The one and only thing that keeps this foundation out of holy grail status for my dry skin is the SHADE range. The shades are so, so off. Either way to pink, gray, or almost green as you said. I am a warm undertone with light skin, maybe a little lighter than you, and there’s just nothing that works for me. I wind up using the 101 and adding in a touch of the 103 (which is too dark for me) to warm it up, and that’s the best combination. But it can’t be holy grail if I’m mixing shades and they’re still not right. Otherwise I LOVE the formula and it lasts all day on my dry, mature skin (38) without budging at all. Doesn’t settle into lines. Looks super natural. Wears down elegantly without getting patchy or weird. It’s just too bad the shades are so weird.
The lightest shade 101 is perfect for pale skin with a pink leaning undertone! I love it! I think it looks beautiful on you and hopefully they will add more shades so you can enjoy this foundation as much as I do. Also thank you so much for such in-depth reviews. I’m going to be 45 next month and I absolutely love this foundation I find the best way to apply it is to use a brush. Sometimes I use the cover fx primer but I don’t really see much a difference when I use the primer
I'm fair with a neutral pink undertones and have real trouble finding foundations to match, they're always too orange or if I got lighter to avoid the orange too pale. So I love the look of these.
I adore this foundation, it's become one of my faves! I like their matte foundation, too, but I agree some of the shades are kinda funky and have a grayish undertone.
I know you were reviewing foundation Angie BUT, man oh man, you really rock that red lippie !! It also really showcases the whiteness of your teeth. A "must keep" makeup look for future use for sure! Cheers, Christine xo
Hi Angie....I really have to say I am not a fan of that color of lip shade on you....can't imagine why others would say you rock....It is a little too vivid of a red and you always looked so much better with a softer shade.. Would love your response to this...?
I absolutely love this foundation & it quickly became my Holy Grail because I finally have a perfect shade match in a reasonably priced foundation that also makes my skin look absolutely flawless. I had the opposite experience & I prefer this with a primer (well 2 actually), I use it with Benefit Porefessional in my t-zone & Estee Lauder 'The Illuminator' primer everywhere else & at the end of the day it looks as beautiful as when I first applied it. I personally don't find that it settles into my fine lines & wrinkles (with those primers), but everyone is different. I have to respectfully disagree about the shade range. I FINALLY found a really great drug store foundation that actually matches my fair neutral skin perfectly! Yes, they need to EXPAND the shade range, they need deeper shades & more medium shades, but there's a ton of people in the world who like me don't have a yellow/warm under tone and we have an extremely difficult time finding a shade match. CYO nailed it in my opinion & instead of releasing the same shades every other drug store brand has in abundance, they catered to the rest of the world that has pink, neutral, & olive undertones. I, like many others, have had to mix foundations everyday of my makeup wearing life trying to make a yellow foundation, or a foundation that was way too dark, work somehow. It is such a pain. You were bugged & you only had to deal with it for a couple days. Imagine 28 years. So, yes they need to expand their shade range. We can all agree that they desperately need deeper shades, but they DO NOT need to revamp all of the medium shades they currently have just because they didn't work perfectly for you. I think that's one of the reasons that this is always sold out. There's a ton of us absolutely thrilled that we finally have a really good drug store foundation option that's not yellow. I'm sorry there isn't a perfect match for you currently, hopefully they will expand it very soon because it is a truly beautiful foundation. Thank you for another great video.
I hope they hear everyone speaking up about the shade range - it is my favourite foundation I’ve ever worn on my skin but I simply cannot wear it. I am very pale and have a neutral/yellow undertone. Great video, very indepth. I am 45 and for the most part I use doublewear as mu holy grail, I purchased this simplybecause of Taylor and I'm so glad I did! I think it is a beautiful foundation and I wear a smashbox primer and have no issues, however I cannot use my vitamin E oil with this, regardless of how long I leave it before applying it. My make-up goes on at 6AM and it's not removed until 9or 10pm... it is still perfect! I find as the day goes on it it very slightly settles into lines on my forehead however I have quite deep scaring on my chin from a childhood burn and it stays smooth over it, was is so rare for me. Not sure about oily skin but on my dry skin, it's fab!
I have bought this in a color that works well for me. I really like it and use it on days when not too much is going on, thinking “I’ll save the good stuff”! This works very nicely for this over 55 face! I’m thinking it’s color 103. Hard to tell on the bottle but it’s above the UPC code, if that’s what it’s indicating. I have dry skin, slightly combo in summer. I absolutely love this foundation. It just looks GOOD. I can use it with or without a primer, with various SPF formulas underneath, etc. And I love that there is a shade light enough for me. 😉
I've been using the CYO for a couple of weeks and love the finish. Just ordered 3 more shades to see if I can get a perfect match. Fingers crossed because I love the way it makes my skin look
I really like this foundation I’m similar skin tone to you and mix 107/109 which works well I’m also 30 in the Chanel I hate primers never quite understand the need for them and think there a marketing gimmick as do alot of leading MUA’s and they never play well over my factor 50 ever so I personally avoid them. Great review as always I wear this to play sports golf tennis squash etc and it stays out throughout a fantastic find at a great price point xxxxx
Angie, thank you so much for all of your great foundation reviews! This is my favorite foundation right now! And shade 110 is perfect for my medium pink undertone skin (and finding a medium, cool, pink undertone foundation is REALLY HARD as most only do the pink undertones in the fair range). I am 50 with extremely oily skin and large pores. This foundation works with and without powder for me but with my oily skin I prefer powder in my T-zone. It gives really good coverage while still looking very natural, and it does not settle in my pores or wrinkles. Just for reference, my usual go to foundation is Estee Lauder double wear (mainly because of pink toned medium shade - I am 3C2 Pebble), thinned out with a primer so it does not look so heavy.
I absolutely LOVE your reviews. I was wearing Makeup Forever and couldn't figure out why all of a sudden I looked more textured. I thought it was my skin. After watching your review I discovered it was doing to me what you discovered it was doing to you. I recently purchased Chanel and I couldn't be happier. So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much. As for this review, I could clearly see a lot of green tones and oddly pink. The formula looked beautiful but the shade ranges were awful. Not really a savings if you have to purchase multiple bottles and custom mix them every time.
you never take a bad photo! love seeing drugstore brands...I live in NE FL and I'm suspicious of makeup and how it performs in the summer..humidity is brutal down here ..not sure how you can test that but I agree that some primers just cannot be used under foundation esp when it's super steamy and hot..thanks for todays video..

I have tried the CYO lifeproof and love it. I lucked out and bought shade 104 and it was a perfect match. I see the green though. I have also mixed it with my Double Wear and it was beautiful and wore perfectly.
So excited when I saw you reviewing this. My favorite "Holy Grail" foundation is/was the Estee Lauder double Wear foundation UNTIL I tried the CYO. OMG, I'm in love with the CYO..😍 fortunately for me, shade 102 is a perfect match and no setting into my wrinkles (mature, oily T-zone skin) any more than the Estee Lauder dw and it's a fraction of the price. I actually think it wears better. It seems to do well for me paired with the Smashbox photo finish primer. Downside is Walgreen's is always out of stock, especially shade 102. 🙄
I also wear Estée Lauder in 2n1 but got the CYO in 103 as 102 seemed too pink...maybe that's why the 103 oxidizes on me...still I guess it would be ok for the summer 😊

NO! Dont jettison the shades. Us olive/ very neutral ladies need a line for us. lol how about telling them to ADD, but not get rid of these. Im a minority within a minority and can never find deep shades with an olive undertone.
Yes! I am at the opposite end to you of the olive skin tone - I'm very light olive and find it so difficult to find a good colour match. Now they just need to bring it Australia.
I’m a lighter skin tone with a green undertone and some light rosacea, but I love when I can find olive undertones in foundation... even with Dior, I have to mix 3WO and 2.5N
I have olive undertones as well. They don’t know the struggle. A lot of people have olive undertones light and dark cool and warm. So I’m surprised these undertones aren’t added more often. Neutral doesn’t cut it.

@@danagreen5615 No, but after I got the Elf poreless putty primer, I went back to my IT Cosmetics CC Cream (same one Angie likes). It looked much better and lasted longer. I also tried to avoid too many layers, too much "blurring " powder and concealer etc. Everything looked better. I'm about out of IT CC, and considering either their oil free or cc illumination. But the oil free is clay based, and they tend to go cakey on me. Also, on the IT website they're coming out with another new foundation (yes). I'd like to see it reviewed before I buy. Sorry this was so long, but I'm so tired of wasting $$ and have struggled for years, and wanted to be honest and thorough. 🤗

@@pretzel_cat I would say its more golden-warm. If it helps it is very similar to the shade called Warm Beige in No. 7 matte foundation.

As a make up artist I’ve been on the hunt for unique shades to match those clients who most foundations will pull top yellow or pink. These are an incredible find and have really been a game changer for my kit.
This is my go to favorite foundation right now. I’m 56 and I don’t use a primer with it..I’m dry and only lightly set it in my t-zone with a little translucent powder. I’m light to medium skin tone this time of year and the shade 102 is a great shade for me. I get slight settling in my smile lines but I do with almost all foundations. Thank you so much for your very thorough review!
I’m definitely much paler than you are, so I can use 101 and 102 and they match my skin tone better than most other foundation shades. I don’t know what they do to get the colors just so, but for me (when blended out) it doesn’t pull pink or gray, unlike other lighter shades of Foundation on me that can pull very pink or very yellow. Really loves these shades. Very very hard to get your hands on!!!
Rosezliving YES!!! I almost think that Foundation makers are matching to suntanned or fake tan colors, which are just not natural skin tone shades, they always make people look orange or yellowish. I think these shades are just so much more realistic skin tone shades and that’s what I’m looking for. I want a more natural makeup look to even our my skin tone without looking too made up, this fits that requirement for me. And the swatch tests are very deceiving with this foundation, it blends out so much less pink or gray or green than it does when swiping a thick layer on your arm with your fingers. It just looks like skin. I’m really loving it but having a hard time finding it, I even traveled to a Walgreens a half hour away to get my hands on 102! Worth the drive though, love how it looks and wears and for $7?!? Score!!!
I'm super pale too I wear the lightest shade 102 was way to dark would be a good summer shade tho.
They are CRAZY hard to get ahold of! I've been trying to get my hands on it for what seems like a year, since I heard Taylor (thataylaa if you watch her channel) reviewing and raving about it! It's her FAVORITE! I have very pale skin, and TO MY LUCK... they are ALWAYS out of 101 and 102! I think I'd be 101, but I'd even settle for 102 just to try it! LOL. It is NEVER in stock! 😕

It's so hard to find very pale shades with a LOT of foundations. Affordable or high end! Most cater to the more medium ranges and it sucks. There is a HUGE number or shades lacking for both very fair skin tones as well as really deep skin tones! It sucks that most companies haven't jumped on that bandwagon, yet, of being more inclusive! I get so sick of going to buy a new foundation and not being able to get it because they don't have my shade! Then the beauty rep working will say "oh, but you could also get this white mixer..." blah, blah, blah... I SHOULDN'T NEED A MIXER FIND A SHADE THAT MATCHES ME! I should be able to pick ONE foundation and be done! 🙄🤦🏻♀️
Probably one of my favorite things about you is that you always show us three different ways to put on the foundation either using your fingers or a brush or damp beauty sponge. You always go out into natural light and then you always go outside and you were not afraid to bring that camera up close. I’m 42 years old and I totally appreciate everything that you do to show us what real women look like out in the real world and not behind beauty lights.

I am 65. Bought my first foundaytion 50 years ago when I was 15. I have worn hundreds over the years. Right now this CYO is my favorite foundation. When I wear this one to work it lasts all day, and does not settle in my lines or lpores. I wear shade 107 and it's a decent match for me. I feel lucky to have found it cause it saves me money and is sold in a Walgreens in my area. I love these foundation Friday videos. Thank you for taking the time to do them. Be well.

So glad you did this! Finding your shade can be difficult but it really has a tenancy to sort of adjust to your face shade as long as you can get close as possible to your range.
What's weird about this foundation is that there are lots of us who need these oddball undertones. For me personally I had always had to make it work until I tried NARS and then CYO. Though I'm thrilled to have been included in it, this shade range is not ideal for most.
Agree, I like 107 and 109 bc they are very yellow toned for me. Angie probably needed 105!

My "most of the time" shade is 105 but can get as fair as 101/102. What I really love is the undertone of my summer shade (108) because I get pretty dark but not in the traditional "tan" sense.

I love this foundation. I'm pretty fair and I have yellow/oliveish undertones. It's really hard to find a good undertone match. The 103 is a good match for me in the summer. I like the 101 and the 103 mixed together. I also like them to mix with other things. The finish is so pretty and I love the way it wears. I really wish they would fix the shade range
Thanks for the review. I'm glad about the shade range leaning olive, since I have a really hard time finding an olive undertone. So I don't think they need to "jetison" the shade range, just maybe add some shades with neutral undertones. Some of us out there do have that green undertone, so I understand it doesn't work as well for you, but I'm happy it's there
I hear you! Should have said to EXPAND the shade range instead... most foundations are offering 30-40 shades now!

This is my FAVORITE foundation! I have heard about the issues with color matching before. I don’t have that issue. I have a lighter complexion with a cool undertone and I wear shade 104. It does look a little gray when you swatch it, but when I apply it, it is a great shade for me. I have oily skin and find that with a primer it wears amazing for a 10-12 hour day. I am 41 years old and don’t find that it settles into any of my lines/imperfections.
I love, love my CYO in 101. I have very mature very very fair skin and have always had problems with all foundations being too yellow.
This one just absolutely works and I have dry skin.
This is my holy grail foundation! It oxidizes on me too, but only about half a shade. My skin is VERY dry. So I do not set it with powder. I only use a dewy setting mist and I'm good to go. I'm 37 yrs. old.
Thank you for reviewing this foundation. I tried this after seeing Thatayla's review and I am lucky, I'm a perfect match for 104. I work in a hospital, most of the time either fully gowned or in a very warm environment. This foundation stays put. At the end of my 10.5 hour shift, my face is still skin like and I have minimal wear on my t=zone. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this foundation.
CYO is one of the few foundations that has good shade matches for me 🥳 I’m very pale though (I wear 101/102), so you nailed it by suggesting that fair skin would enjoy this. Even aside from shade though, this is my favorite foundation of all time. No primer, no powder, no settling (my skin is very dry). Thanks for the awesome review! Hopefully they expand their shade range soon, especially considering that this product has become popular enough to sell out so often. ☺️

My HG foundation! I wear 101 and 102/103 in summer. I have overall normal skin with a slightly oily t-zone. This applies beautifully and seamlessly. Lasts a full 12 hr work day and fades gracefully. I will never be without it!

I usually don’t watch Foundation Fridays videos, but I heard so many great things about this CYO, that I had to click on this video and see what my ones favorite TH-camr’s had to say about it. Too bad my Walgreens doesn’t carry it and I hate buying online.

I agree that they need to make more shades but getting rid of shades seems a bit pointless. Olive skin tones as well as neutral skin tones have a hard time finding a good match, especially at drugstore prices. If anything they should of course expand the shade range to be inclusive.
I love this foundation! I mix it with every highend foundation I have, it adds a skin like finish to everything I mix it with.
CYO is my favorite! I'm 45 with very dry skin. I find it wears flawless on me for a very long time. I work 12 hour shifts at the hospital and this is the only foundation I've found that works for me and looks great after work too. I use the shade 101 which is a good shade for me. It doesn't settle into my fine lines, but I use the silk canvas primer always. That seems to work the best for me. I use to switch up my foundations all the time, but now I've been wearing this one consistently for almost a year. It's so so nice.

I'm 50 and since I live in Puerto Rico the climate is so dry and hot, this work perfect for me, but as you explained the range is off so I just mix it with the Flower Beauty foundation that is very yellow in all shades, I have like 5 shades of the CYO and 3 of the flower beauty and ended up mixing whatever I grab of the one and the other. That combination looks exactly as my favorite foundations, Channel Les Beige and Armany L. Silk. Great review!

I watched this video and I happen to go to Walgreens today and walked past CYO DISPLAY and the hey had testers. I put some on the back of my forearm and I was impressed. It feels like skin so smooth and nice the color was pretty darn good for me. So I may purchase some. Thank you Angie.
I use it and I really like it. I use shade number 104 and seemed to be perfect for my skin type and color. I'm 63 and I've tried a lot of foundations and this one is great for me.

Thank you so much for this review, Angie. I love foundation Friday and am happy to hear that we may be seeing more of them this year!! I have CYO in shade 102 and it is a lot to dark and a little too pink on me . I can make it work but since it oxidized a bit through the day, the slightly too dark became very too dark by the end of the day. I have given up getting shade 101 as it is always sold out and by the time I get the notification that it is back in stock, it is out again. That brings me to the reason for my long remark. I don't get why brands don't up the game when something is really wanted and needed in the community. If 101 is always sold out, make more of it. That isn't hard to figure out. Every one loves it, make more shades! Make it available in more places. You're going to make money off of it! So easy to figure out but they don't seem to get it. I love how this foundation looked on my 65 year old skin but since it is such a pain to get and isn't perfect as far as shade range, I won't be wearing it much. I can get a good look from many other foundations so not worth the frustration and hassle this one brings. Thank you for your review as always. Still the best YT'er reviewer, ever! Also, love the lippie colour on you. Nice to see something brighter and particularly nice given the dreary weather outside.

I think L.A girl makes a olive mixer now. I watched a TH-camrs ( I can't remember her name exactly )video about it so check it out.i think her name was saamage or something like that. In addition, they make other mixer colors besides olive.
Another TH-camr with oily skin at the time called this her Holy Grail. I just could not get it to work on me. I found it heavy and accentuated pores. BUT, I will of course give it another try using your techniques as I thought it looked great on you and you are my skin twin. Thanks for showing different methods of application!
I watch all your videos. This foundation looks the best I've seen on you and looks flawless. More so than the Chanel you like and all the others. very pretty. The color seems to match well on you too
I have been waiting for you to review this! I 100% agree with you on this foundation. The one and only thing that keeps this foundation out of holy grail status for my dry skin is the SHADE range. The shades are so, so off. Either way to pink, gray, or almost green as you said. I am a warm undertone with light skin, maybe a little lighter than you, and there’s just nothing that works for me. I wind up using the 101 and adding in a touch of the 103 (which is too dark for me) to warm it up, and that’s the best combination. But it can’t be holy grail if I’m mixing shades and they’re still not right. Otherwise I LOVE the formula and it lasts all day on my dry, mature skin (38) without budging at all. Doesn’t settle into lines. Looks super natural. Wears down elegantly without getting patchy or weird. It’s just too bad the shades are so weird.
The lightest shade 101 is perfect for pale skin with a pink leaning undertone! I love it! I think it looks beautiful on you and hopefully they will add more shades so you can enjoy this foundation as much as I do.

I’m going to be 45 next month and I absolutely love this foundation I find the best way to apply it is to use a brush. Sometimes I use the cover fx primer but I don’t really see much a difference when I use the primer
I'm fair with a neutral pink undertones and have real trouble finding foundations to match, they're always too orange or if I got lighter to avoid the orange too pale. So I love the look of these.
I adore this foundation, it's become one of my faves! I like their matte foundation, too, but I agree some of the shades are kinda funky and have a grayish undertone.
I know you were reviewing foundation Angie BUT, man oh man, you really rock that red lippie !! It also really showcases the whiteness of your teeth. A "must keep" makeup look for future use for sure! Cheers, Christine xo

Hi Angie....I really have to say I am not a fan of that color of lip shade on you....can't imagine why others would say you rock....It is a little too vivid of a red and you always looked so much better with a softer shade.. Would love your response to this...?
I absolutely love this foundation & it quickly became my Holy Grail because I finally have a perfect shade match in a reasonably priced foundation that also makes my skin look absolutely flawless. I had the opposite experience & I prefer this with a primer (well 2 actually), I use it with Benefit Porefessional in my t-zone & Estee Lauder 'The Illuminator' primer everywhere else & at the end of the day it looks as beautiful as when I first applied it. I personally don't find that it settles into my fine lines & wrinkles (with those primers), but everyone is different. I have to respectfully disagree about the shade range. I FINALLY found a really great drug store foundation that actually matches my fair neutral skin perfectly! Yes, they need to EXPAND the shade range, they need deeper shades & more medium shades, but there's a ton of people in the world who like me don't have a yellow/warm under tone and we have an extremely difficult time finding a shade match. CYO nailed it in my opinion & instead of releasing the same shades every other drug store brand has in abundance, they catered to the rest of the world that has pink, neutral, & olive undertones. I, like many others, have had to mix foundations everyday of my makeup wearing life trying to make a yellow foundation, or a foundation that was way too dark, work somehow. It is such a pain. You were bugged & you only had to deal with it for a couple days. Imagine 28 years. So, yes they need to expand their shade range. We can all agree that they desperately need deeper shades, but they DO NOT need to revamp all of the medium shades they currently have just because they didn't work perfectly for you. I think that's one of the reasons that this is always sold out. There's a ton of us absolutely thrilled that we finally have a really good drug store foundation option that's not yellow. I'm sorry there isn't a perfect match for you currently, hopefully they will expand it very soon because it is a truly beautiful foundation. Thank you for another great video.
I hope they hear everyone speaking up about the shade range - it is my favourite foundation I’ve ever worn on my skin but I simply cannot wear it. I am very pale and have a neutral/yellow undertone. Containing paraben isn't a problem as some may assume. In fact it is much less likely to irritate skin than the preservatives used instead of it
Great video, very indepth. I am 45 and for the most part I use doublewear as mu holy grail, I purchased this simplybecause of Taylor and I'm so glad I did! I think it is a beautiful foundation and I wear a smashbox primer and have no issues, however I cannot use my vitamin E oil with this, regardless of how long I leave it before applying it. My make-up goes on at 6AM and it's not removed until 9or 10pm... it is still perfect! I find as the day goes on it it very slightly settles into lines on my forehead however I have quite deep scaring on my chin from a childhood burn and it stays smooth over it, was is so rare for me. Not sure about oily skin but on my dry skin, it's fab!
I have bought this in a color that works well for me. I really like it and use it on days when not too much is going on, thinking “I’ll save the good stuff”! This works very nicely for this over 55 face! I’m thinking it’s color 103. Hard to tell on the bottle but it’s above the UPC code, if that’s what it’s indicating. I have dry skin, slightly combo in summer. I absolutely love this foundation. It just looks GOOD. I can use it with or without a primer, with various SPF formulas underneath, etc. And I love that there is a shade light enough for me. 😉

I really like this foundation I’m similar skin tone to you and mix 107/109 which works well I’m also 30 in the Chanel
I hate primers never quite understand the need for them and think there a marketing gimmick as do alot of leading MUA’s and they never play well over my factor 50 ever
so I personally avoid them.

Angie, thank you so much for all of your great foundation reviews! This is my favorite foundation right now! And shade 110 is perfect for my medium pink undertone skin (and finding a medium, cool, pink undertone foundation is REALLY HARD as most only do the pink undertones in the fair range). I am 50 with extremely oily skin and large pores. This foundation works with and without powder for me but with my oily skin I prefer powder in my T-zone. It gives really good coverage while still looking very natural, and it does not settle in my pores or wrinkles. Just for reference, my usual go to foundation is Estee Lauder double wear (mainly because of pink toned medium shade - I am 3C2 Pebble), thinned out with a primer so it does not look so heavy.

I absolutely LOVE your reviews. I was wearing Makeup Forever and couldn't figure out why all of a sudden I looked more textured. I thought it was my skin. After watching your review I discovered it was doing to me what you discovered it was doing to you. I recently purchased Chanel and I couldn't be happier. So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much.
As for this review, I could clearly see a lot of green tones and oddly pink. The formula looked beautiful but the shade ranges were awful. Not really a savings if you have to purchase multiple bottles and custom mix them every time.
you never take a bad photo! love seeing drugstore brands...I live in NE FL and I'm suspicious of makeup and how it performs in the summer..humidity is brutal down here ..not sure how you can test that but I agree that some primers just cannot be used under foundation esp when it's super steamy and hot..thanks for todays video..
I have actually tried this and the color range is perfect for me with the pinky grey undertones, I had used with a primer and it wasn’t good... I am excited to try it again sans primer today and see how it goes! Thank you for the review! I am 48 with dry skin.

I have tried the CYO lifeproof and love it. I lucked out and bought shade 104 and it was a perfect match. I see the green though. I have also mixed it with my Double Wear and it was beautiful and wore perfectly.

So excited when I saw you reviewing this. My favorite "Holy Grail" foundation is/was the Estee Lauder double Wear foundation UNTIL I tried the CYO. OMG, I'm in love with the CYO..😍 fortunately for me, shade 102 is a perfect match and no setting into my wrinkles (mature, oily T-zone skin) any more than the Estee Lauder dw and it's a fraction of the price. I actually think it wears better. It seems to do well for me paired with the Smashbox photo finish primer. Downside is Walgreen's is always out of stock, especially shade 102. 🙄

@@yelortiz 2n1 and that's a tiny bit too peachy toned for me but it works out ok, using bronzer & powder...CYO 102 seems to match my skin tone better.
I also wear Estée Lauder in 2n1 but got the CYO in 103 as 102 seemed too pink...maybe that's why the 103 oxidizes on me...still I guess it would be ok for the summer 😊

NO! Dont jettison the shades. Us olive/ very neutral ladies need a line for us. lol how about telling them to ADD, but not get rid of these. Im a minority within a minority and can never find deep shades with an olive undertone.
Yes! I am at the opposite end to you of the olive skin tone - I'm very light olive and find it so difficult to find a good colour match. Now they just need to bring it Australia.
Agreed! I'm a pale Olive and I don't think I've ever had a perfect shade match!!! Definitely gonna pick up a few of the "green" shades lol!!
I’m a lighter skin tone with a green undertone and some light rosacea, but I love when I can find olive undertones in foundation... even with Dior, I have to mix 3WO and 2.5N
I have olive undertones as well. They don’t know the struggle. A lot of people have olive undertones light and dark cool and warm. So I’m surprised these undertones aren’t added more often. Neutral doesn’t cut it.
I am also an olive tone a light olive but thats why this foundation works so well for me

Totally agree with the shade range and honestly what is the point of creating a lovely foundation that nobody can wear or have to mix 2 or 3 to get "close" to your skin color??? @@danagreen5615 No, but after I got the Elf poreless putty primer, I went back to my IT Cosmetics CC Cream (same one Angie likes). It looked much better and lasted longer. I also tried to avoid too many layers, too much "blurring " powder and concealer etc. Everything looked better. I'm about out of IT CC, and considering either their oil free or cc illumination. But the oil free is clay based, and they tend to go cakey on me. Also, on the IT website they're coming out with another new foundation (yes). I'd like to see it reviewed before I buy. Sorry this was so long, but I'm so tired of wasting $$ and have struggled for years, and wanted to be honest and thorough. 🤗

I use the 101 and its luckily not pink, more neutral. I cannot wait to try it without primer tomorrow! Thanks for the review!
