Your 3D reconstruction of ancient Rome is really beautiful, always with that high detail and archaeological precision, I look forward to the stream you announced tomorrow. 😁
I was just in Rome in early September, and stayed in a hotel across a narrow street from the Palatine Hill. Your excellent reconstruction brings to life the magnificence of the buildings that I saw during my brief stay there.
The fact that the people living there at this time would never have been able to fathom that one day people living thousands of years in the future would be watching aerial shots of their virtually reconstructed city.
This is soooo sick. Is this your project and reconstruction of the city? If so I cant wait until you guys have the whole thing finished you guys should charge for timed tours of the city or something I'd definitely pay to just explore for a few hours.
I follow you on Instagram, and your work is spectacular, your virtual reconstructions are incredible! Hopefully, one day in real life, they’ll do reconstructions of monuments like they used to, integrating them into the city and giving them a functional use.
What would be really cool (and much more difficult) is to show the differences between 100BCE, 100AD, and 300AD. We always think in terms of Rome during Constantine’s reign but it would be interesting to see the late Republic, early Empire, middle Empire, and late Empire to see the “city of wood” to Augustus’ “city of brick/marble” and beyond.
Excellent! Great great job! To create such a model with such level of detail, material maps and rendering is almost like building Ancient Rome itself, the greatest city of antiquity, all over again. I wonder how many people are working on this project?
@@historyin3d Amazing! I was in Rome 34 years ago on my Honeymoon. As an architecture student I could tell my young wife a lot about ancient architecture, but I always dreamed of immersing myself in the atmosphere of those streets, squares and spaces. Your amazing and admirable work made these dreams come true. Thank you.
Excellent. I only wish the transition from new to old could go slower, screen change fade from left to right and then back. Then move on to the fly overs. Thanks for all this hard work.
Ancient Roma was glorious. Modern Roma is divine. We took the city of our ancestors and we made it an art piece that can please God himself for her magnificence. There's no city like Roma at this world.
Thank you for a wonderful recreation that provides real insight into Ancient Rome. Are the open areas with roads meant to be like that or do they still need to be constructed?

1:16 - The Circus Maximus. Back in the glorious days of the Empire it was able to hold 250'000 spectators. This is roughly 18 % of the whole population of Imperial Rome at its height. For a comparison, the todays largest stadium capacitywise, the Narendra Modi Stadium can hold 132'000 spectators. And the German Nazi totally failed with their planned 400'000 spectators stadium near Nuremberg. So, the Roman Empire still has the still unchallenged record of the largest statium in all history.
Very beautiful reconstruction but melancholic at the same time to know what we have lost. Why don't the Italians rebuild several of these monuments ? The Colliseum for example, they could make it a place of spectacle such as historical reconstructions, theater performances or mma tournaments.
So very brilliant. Looking forward to the future when it is full of AI citizens, laundry drying in the gardens, and the sounds of Classical Latin and Greek in the streets.
Suberbe reconstitution. On remarque les édifices publiques qui donnent un point de repère pour chaques quartiers. Vue sur le plan, les termes de Caracala devaient être immenses.🏛
After seeing this and other reconstructions of ancient Rome, I don't think I could ever visit present-day Rome and feel satisfied.
Tkanks, sorry 😂

I was just in Rome in Oct, I have a overactive imagination, but this is the best yet.
I wish there was a game or something about ancient rome like this. It's so beautiful.
Working on it, follow our updates ✌️
Fantastic! I wish I could walk around the Rome. If we can only go back in time!

Thanks! It is a work in progress and only nearly 59% of the City is already modelled.

Excellent job!!!! This is Rome in which year?
we need to have this rebuilt
Tempus itinerantor - quam laude.

What is the final plan for this? Will we be able to walk through the city in first person when this is finished, either through VR or on PC?
What time period are you reconstructing? Looks like late empire? Great work!
Read the description, please.
So sorry I commented on your video! It will not happen again, have unsubscribed as well.

Sorry if im either blind or stupid but i can't find Pantheon. Maybe the reconstruction is between the first and the second building :)
