They have so many power stations out their. And I am looking more towards the yeti. I don’t know which size I need. Going to use it for my eBay business out of my storage unit. For my label printer and laptop. Any suggestions what size?
Totally depends on your needs. If you do a search, you can find some good conversions from amp hours to watt hours and such. There are also websites that will help you calculate your actual needs and usage based on what you want to run.
I'm building 10 more glamping tent sites. Do you think these will suffice for long weekend renters with their phones and the occasional heating blanket through the night?
Powering phones and other small electronics won't be a problem for it. Depending on the draw from the heating blanket though, I can imagine a good warm blanket ripping through its capacity very quickly (heating elements tend to be very inefficient and use a crazy amount of power). I'd test that out on one before committing to multiple.
We hope you like it! It's become pretty invaluable for us on our trips. Zach picked up a Nomad 50 to go with it, and that with the occasional charge from a car inverter while driving has been enough to keep it pretty topped off.
We haven't. None of us have made the plunge into getting a refrigerator yet. We tend to keep our food options pretty basic when we head out and haven't seen a need for one yet. Would definitely be nice if we can fit in some longer trips though!
Thanks for the review. Could you clarify what kind of charging cable you are using and where you got it? Looks like they are still not available from Goal Zero. Thanks.
Thanks for the review. I enjoyed it. I’ve been looking to get either the goal zero yeti 400 or the Jackery explorer 500. They both seem to be good. Where are you guys from by the way? Is this a new channel? I’m in Sacramento CA area and starting to get into the overland camping thing.
I’m entertaining the idea of adding a small to medium sized fridge in my 4Runner for camping. There’s already a 120v outlet in the back. Do you think this battery could power a fridge for 24 hours? How long would you need to run the engine/drive in order to fully charge it?
All good questions, you'd need to do some math regarding your fridge's average consumption of power, and the output of the Goal Zero. My hunch is that you'd need a larger unit, none of us run fridges. Takes about 5 - 7 hours to charge the goal zero 400 from my car inverter. I never drain it down that far, but if I did I think that is about right. ymmv. Sorry, I know that is super helpful.
My Yeti 400 will power my Dometic CFX50 for about 2 days before the low-voltage cutoff on the fridge is triggered. Of course there are environmental variables to consider, your mileage may vary. You may want to research the new Dometic PLB40 battery as well.
AWESOME GUYS! Great video. Of all the Goal Zero video I've seen on TH-cam, this is the best. Thank you👍🏼👍🏼👍🏽👍🏽
Thanks! Glad we could be helpful!

Some great production quality. Surprised you don’t have more subs yet. Keep it up, they will come. :)
Thanks, the edits take many many hours. Appreciate having you along! More videos are in the works right now.
Found one of these brand new at the REI garage sale for $300 glad I pulled the trigger on it after watching this!

Great video! Thank you, beef cakes.
Thanks! you bet.
Have you tried powering a ARB or Dometic fridge using the Goal Zero 400 lithium?

we use the standard wall charges, plugged into car inverters that run to the 12v cig lighter in the dash.
found this super useful fellas, great work. Keep it up!
Thanks! We will, just gotta make some time to get back out there.

We're all in Southern California. Yeah, still happy with the Goal Zeros at this point. Thanks for commenting! :)
