That's me at 4:59 in the blue jumper! It was a good show, exhausting but a good day. Apparently the Saturday was much busier according to club members who were there both days - You may have seen my Polly as well on the same stand (:

Hi Ed, Yes by the time we got back we was exhausted. I also heard the Saturday was very busy. All the best, Matt.

What I realized about expos: People love seeing partially finished projects just as much as finished ones.
    Greetings from Detroit. 🇺🇲

Hi Marty, Absolutely, there is something fascinating about a half finished model and being able to see how its constructed. All the best, Matt. 👍

@@MattChiversWorkshop I watch hours of old cine films and video`s of the steam age.
My old school was by a railway embankment watching 9Fs on heavy freight and
double headers of lighter steam loco`s.
I also go to the Llandudno transport festival.
I was also lucky to be able to work across Europe for eight years.
One day by accident i came across the "Technik Museum" Sinsheim.
I always stayed a short distance away and had two days to wander around the place.
Once a year is the live steam working engine railway locomotives small gauge exhibition.
Watching, listening, smelling steam power is not something you get with
      a computer or a mobile.

Excellent video. Worryingly there seems to be more models than visitors.

All of this just make me wonder, how did someone discover that they can use boiling water a power source that will light the fuse to an entire era of industrializing and technological innovation. And later peoples will be admiring the work and discoveries made by others to come up with amazing inventions.

Read _The Discoverers_ by Daniel Boorstin. It's essentially a history of science. The power of steam was know to (literally) the ancients when they saw rocks explode in fire. They used that effect to mine ore. (Actually I don't recall exactly how the book covers steam but it has to be there.)
      Excellent vid, thanks Matt!

@@jimbarchuk thanks for the recommendation. I do remember reading somewhere that the ancient romans used it as a toy and nothing more. Just think about how advanced we could be if they used it to its fullest potential.
