- Finally here comes the mind-blowing DRIVE & SOUND with the all-new 2016 / 2017 Mercedes-AMG S 63 Cabrio / Convertible pumping out 585 hp and a whopping 900 Nm of torque through 4Matic (weight: 2.185 kg). This is the second 5.5 V8 with an active valve exhaust that we are testing from Mercedes following the awesome GLE 63 S Coupe we drove last summer. The result is simply stunning, a deep grunt, sharp Turbo whistles, and some nice backfires on downshifts. Especially in the open top version the flair that comes across does not have to be shy of serious supercars. This particular car comes in that allanite grey magno matte paint and offers the optional Ceramic Brakes which I would really recommend for spirited driving. Great car, but that gearbox is utter garbage. It takes way too long for it to react to the paddles.
+Lt. KaLi Paddle reaction could be faster, yes....but shift time and shift moment are pretty perfect in all conditions. Wasn't in M mode here either.

Pretty sure it is. The current Mercedes push to start button is removable, so the people who gave him the car probably took it off. Only the all-new E-Class has a non-removable push to start.

+Haliti Florian puh, müsste ich nachschauen, aber geht recht zügig...viel wichtiger, es geht bis 60 km/h also auch mal schnell am Autobahndreieck.

+he-man Mercedes-AMG are not the best doing gearboxes, but they are at doing engines. The reason why this car is not as fast as the horsepower figures suggest is because of the weight. It weighs almost 2.2 tonns, and it's not made to be supercar fast. It's made to be a GT cruiser, with a great engine, gorgeous looks, open top experience, excellent interior and a relaxed driving experience, but when you throw it to some twisty mountain roads it can handle pretty well and keep up with some supercars.
