It saddens me that these glorious Papal Ceremonies were done away with. I'm not old enough to remember them. But watching them on this Channel makes me a proud Catholic. All of this is not to glorify man, it is meant to glorify God and the Church he founded for our salvation, through the sacred Petrine office. If it were up to me the Papacy would be declared the 8th Sacrament. I abhor changes for the worst. But if changes were made to add to the Glory of the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church, then I'm in. But that is not what happened. The Church is now living in a sort of part of Maundy Thursday when the Sanctuary is stripped of all that is beautiful. That is what happened to the Church, She has been stripped of all beauty. Especially the greatness of Christ the King. Viva Cristo Rey!!
