The Skoolie is coming along! Today we get to work on paneling and cutting out a complicated angle. When we check the chickens we found a hidden danger lurking in the shadows.. thanks to a subscriber for a heads up! We end the day at the Mayes County Fair with lots of rides and games. Hey Mazzie 👋Did you know that bike riding is great for building up you diaphram and core for singing? My daughters rode their bikes as hard as the boys, and both got picked for the choir because of their breath control and power! Both went on to become professional singers.😊

Ha! That's their job to take care of him just like the rest of kids but he is a growing toddler and seems to be bigger each day, can't wait to fully see him!

As you probably know, spray the nest at night to be sure all wasps are back home. I cringe when I see someone spraying in daylight and you know they aren’t going to get them all.
Glad to see you put the whole circle around the eggs. Makes it much easier for you.
And make sure you take the nest down and clean where it was really good or they can come back there.
Gary, I saws YT video from a farmer showing all the different sprays and what nots he used. What he found was a mayonnaise jar with a small amount of gasoline at the bottom of the jar. Them put it over the nest . They start come out but the fumes get to them and they drop into the jar. Once they stop coming out move the jar to the across the ceiling and the nest falls into the jar. Take care.

16:29 Gary, next time just do cardboard for your cit out with a curve. My dad taught me that trick. He was a carpenter, mainly kitchen, bathroom, and cabinets, but he'd have to curve marble, granite, and formica all the time.
The kids looked like they were having fun at the fair. Glad they got to ride with Hadlee & Hope.

Fair fun..oh the memories! I had a weird window frame, due to the arch of the ceiling. I made a template out of a brown grocery bag..it fit perfect..I was so proud of myself 😊 love the paneling..you will need to make a crescent moon 🌙 for your door 😅 suppose to be 39 tonight! Great cool day today…

Was amazed at how much you have really done with the Schoolie and how good it looks.
Scribe cardboard for the arch and top, or the piece of paneling you cut off the end. Then use that as a template on the actual finished paneling. Look great and God Bless!.❤

Gary , sometimes a large piece of cardboard and mark the sizes on it first then cut it with a stanly knife or ✂️ try it against the shape at the top of the schooly, and if it’s not perfect you’ve not messed up the good material and you can scribe it better to the shape of ceiling then transfer the shape onto the good material . Doesn’t necessarily have to be cardboard , possibly hardboard or any material that’s easy cut . It doesn’t have to be full height just a couple of feet would do .I wrote this before seeing the end lol😂 but you done a great job ! Great video as always 👍

10:20 Gary doesn't say NO. He gives his pro/con list and you decide as a team. At least that's what I've noticed from the videos. Which is how it should be. My other half and I have signals that only we know, and it's only our kids who notice and will say, Don't look at mom/dad, when they know 1 of us is more likely going to agree. BTW, they are 27 and 30, not younger ones playing us against 1 another because they've been told by dad since they were in their teens that they'll leave 1 day, so it's always going to be he and I as a team. ❤

If you want to finish off the curve on the paneling you can glue nautical rope up it gives it a finished look and covers the raw edge of the wood
Spray the wasps at night. They are not active at night. You may stir them up and get stung if it's during their active time.

Hello Walker Fam! Always a good day with Farmer Ransom!
A scribe works well for those odd shape designs. Like a compass with the point and pencil. Like we needed for algebra in high school. You may have one around the house.
Tell both Ranger and Handsom Ransom the three "heavy" parts of the skeleton and body are the head, shoulders, and hips. Shifting and moving them can affect any of the "moving" sports be they snow sking and boarding, both forms of skating, biking whether under pedal power or motor powered, andcso on. Those BMXers whom you've filmed going full out are using shifts/ positions of both hip and shoulder weight. Get them to watch video of others to disect thier body mechanics.

I love the paneling. The paneling in my apartment is so old and tough I can’t put a nail in it. I thought it was super hard plywood but it’s paneling. The owner who is also a building contractor said it would split. So I’ll have to use command strips and not be able to put up my glass picture.
I saw a tool -- somewhere -- that allows you to create a pattern of an irregular space that then can be used with a saw. It was a plastic hand held tool with moving parts. Sorry I can't tell you more specifically. You did a great job without it!

You'll save the lives of your animals and family if you just wait until the temps get colder at night and you can remove the nest with the wasps inside. There are a number of techniques you can probably find on Google -- maybe even TH-cam.

Hey Gary, you were so right about the basketball game they are rigged, my brothers, both Donnie Jay God rest both their souls were carnies, and they used to tell us all the stories about how they would bring them up. Get you a fairly good-sized bowl that will fit over the wasp nest put about a half an inch of gas in the bottom of the bowl , cover the wasp nest with the bowl and hold it there they will drop in the gas because of the fumes. Then you can drag the bowl sideways and drag the nest off in the bowl.
I just done that yesterday in my shop

The Sizzler was always called the Scrambler when I was a kid. One of my favorites! Tilt a whirl too! Those rims are small on the basketball nets.

Put a bucket, can or clear plastic bottle over the wasp nest and spray or scrape off.

That was pretty good…he just ate 3 chili dogs. 🤣. Reminds me of a date I had. We found a tiny carnival and he insisted I go on the Hammer with him. He’s lucky I didn’t get sick. But he wouldn’t let me wait until my head and stomach quit spinning, and insisted I go on the octopus. Yes, you are guessing correctly. I threw up, but lucky for everyone it went over the side and lucky no one standing below. 😵💫😵💫 he took me home and waited while I finished making myself sick…😱. Then we went to a dance but they wouldn’t let us in because I wasn’t wearing a skirt or dress. 😱😱. Yes, this was that long ago. Around 1961. BUT, he did tell me, he would always believe what I told him….

You can take a piece of cardboard and cut it that arch in it and then cut it. The size they make a pattern out of it.

Ransom, all your bent bike wheel needs is the spokes adjusted. I bet there is a TH-cam that shows you to do that.
When I have tricky areas that need to be cut, I use craft paper to make a template for cutting.
