his films recover the money and make profit because he releases most of his films in vacations and his films have a good starcast. in the first week itself the film gets a good opening because of the promos, again thanks to the starcast and item numbers which create a sense of curiosity. but do the audiences get a value for their money ? i doubt. his films are bad. not a great example for the next generation. just my opinion.
Manmohan Desai was awsome director. his personal life was also exactly like his films, his wife did suicide for unknown reason to whom he loved very much. He fought with his wife's family to marry her. after sometime someyears Manmohan Desai did suicide at same place where his wife died for unknown reason, people used to criticised Desai for his films that in his movies coincidence always play important role in real life it won't. but Manmohan Desai's real life was full of such coincidence....
The movie did beat singh is king. The man is no great film maker but whatever he does, he does it with confidence and conviction. These two things make a successful man even if the man is not talented.
You would think that after a point the audience would realize that they are wasting money by simply depending on star value, the GLAMOUR and the item numbers....For as long as the audience gets tricked, such films will keep getting made.
Chirag Shah He and his dumb audience are the reason why glamour is considered one of the points in filmmaking. Karan Johar uses glamour but atleast the artists in his films can act . He uses some a**holes like Jaquelin,lisa haydon, and many more glamorous dolls in his films.
1. small budget intelligent films dont work he says. reality says that they work and audiences have been pleasantly surprised by those kind of films. eg: khosla ka ghosla, lsd, oye lucky , dev d, shaitaan, honeymoon travels private lmtd. all made good money even though they were small budget films. 2. Big films like avatar, 3 idiots are par above sajid's senseless films. nowhere close in content. Box office collections maybe.
