My parents bought me this game along with Adventures of Dr. Frankenstein in a snes bargain bin back in the 90's. I remember playing this game as a kid and not being able to get past the 3rd level, but it was fun. I feel validated since others played this game lol
I actually have the WR in this and Dr Franken. Both such fun games

See, Lester The Unlikely is a game that really exemplifies the attitude of the early days of the games industry. That slight innocence from people that just had an idea and wanted to make it a game, and the bean counters weren't constantly vetoing anything and everything that didn't in some way create or rehash a known IP or have some alternate sort of monetization. They clearly made this game with little to no branding and future exploitibility in mind. Lester wasn't meant to become the juggernaut that Mario or Sonic became. Lester had no staying power whatsoever. It was just a unique idea that, like the title implies, was unlikely to make bank or even stick around at all. Pass or fail, somebody wanted to try something new, so they did.

This is one of those games where I love the comedic concept, the art and animations, but when I try actually playing it, it's clunky and awkward. Maybe intentionally? Regardless, watching a speed runner tear through this game has been a much better way of experiencing it for me, thank you!

That's the beauty of speedruns, you never know who can do them this amazingly for a game that is hard as fu for just a casual gamer!. Mind u this game has beyond broken controls

I think speedrunners are there to play games, they're not clowns, if they don't want to talk they don't have to
I know nothing about the runner, but some people just don't feel like talking in public, it just happens, no need to be a jerk about it
I'm not bashing her for being shy or anything. Runners can be as quiet as they want to be. But refusing to say just a couple words that could put $50 into the donation pot is a dick move.
