  • I have changed my rear tyre from a Maxxis aggressor to dissector for more support through rock gardens.
Trying to negotiate the opinions online of what casing to run can be difficulty- so I am wanting to put it out to the viewers, what tyre casing are you running in 2020?

DD aggressor out back, DHF EXO+ in the front. The hardtail is currently EXO+ front and rear, but will put DD out the back next tyre change.

Thanks for watching Rock Moose and nice choice with the DD aggressor. Unfortunately I didn't get too many miles on my EXO aggressor to get a real impression of it. Interesting to hear that you are stepping up to Double down too- before making the video I didn't appreciate how many different choices there are in each model of maxxis tyre!

I'd love to get out, but I had a rough go at Shapeshifter on Thursday (mate of mine talked me into it...) and had a disagreement with a tree that ate my rear brake lever. ETA on the replacement is Tuesday, lucky spring is here, more good weather to come.

I went from DHF 3C Maxx drip exo front and DHF 3C Maxx grip exo rear to a DHF 3C DD on the rear but found it too annoying the extra resistance on the rear as even though I’m gravity orientated in my riding, climbing is a big part of my rides obviously so the trade off wasn’t worth it so I’ve now got a DHR 3C exo maxx terra on the rear. .....Side note, been a while since your last upload!

Thanks for watching Nigel Hill- you're spot on regarding the importance of tailoring what your are happy to accept regarding rolling resistance vs protection vs your riding style! I look forward to trying a few more tyres in the future to see if I can notice the difference, especially in Adelaide where climbing is a core part of almost all rides! haha- I went through a little lull of filming with COVID, hopfully a few more uploads in the near future...

What track is the waterfall feature on at Cobblers? I haven't seen that section yet. I am guessing its on either on North DH or Snakes n Ladders?

Thanks for watching Rob Homes- I am not certain on the trail name- but looking on the map I believe that it it on the Valley Circuit. I hope this helps.
