I don't know how y'all don't see it - if you focus hard you can clearly see how she she used the wipes and balm to clean her skin - the wipe side looked almost the same as with the make-up on. and even by the end of the video it still looked less clean and more reddened, irritated.

I have been working on my skincare for 4 years and found some things that really help my facial skin look great:
    1. Drink plenty of water.
    2. Put fresh Aloe gel on your skin prior to bed.
    3. Cleanse your face with lukewarm water and use litllextra riiceberry face wash wich has black rice water and use it once or twice a day.
    4. Drink bitter gourd and lauki juice to cleanse the body.
    5. Lastly, stay happy! Your skin appears best when you're happy from inside.

idk what bitter gourd or lauki juice is, i just start my day with a lemon in a glass of water w/ some cayenne... lots of vitamin c, very little sugar & i dont like sweet things in the morning anyway (inno how tart it is, which many ppl DON'T ENJOY), but you can get lemons pretty much anywhere and the non organic ones are affordable... & lemon juice from concrete is even _more_ affordable.
back in the day when my mom was in high school, the "toners" available all over the states were ASTRINGENTS! before Paula's Choice & K Beauty put out hydrating "toners" & "essences" that are essentially very thin serums, and that's my favorite step. ran out of my first hydrating toner and BOY did i miss it (i have dry skin tho).
u can also lock everything in w/ Aquaphor or just straight up petroleum jelly at night... slather a thick layer all over as the last step, you'd never guess but it's actually non comedogenic for most people! and you can't beat the price!!

Sure, but also I think people are a whole lot more discerning and knowledgeable when it comes to our skincare now than we were 10 years ago. It's a lot more common for people to read into what ingredients are in certain products and the impacts they have on our skin.
Trendy products these days are far more likely to be backed by scientific evidence and dermatologists than gimmicky products like a pore strip. People will splurge out on expensive products if they know the quality is there but also use cheap, basic brands if they've proven to be reliable and work.

it isn’t bad at all honestly, just a bit heavy on physical exfoliation and light on hydration. i get it, pore strips are tempting cuz they actually make it look better right away whereas AHA/BHA/PHA/LHA or enzymatic exfoliators will take months to see results 😢. personally, after trying out intense acne treatments, my skin burns a lot and i have to pay super close attention to hydrating and moisturizing my skin in areas where my barrier is very damaged. my routine is probably somewhere in the middle. i don’t use a cleansing balm, i just cleanse twice with a gentle cleanser (i start with a foaming one for tough sunscreen and pimple patch gel) and occasionally use BPO wash. then, immediately light cerave moisturizer. then i let it dry while i put vanicream moisturizer and vaseline on my lips. then i put adapalene all over my face, and immediately a second layer of lotion. i use vanicream lotion around my eyes and my cheeks because my skin there is clear and the higher amounts of lipids won’t feed bacteria or yeast in my skin. i put hydrocolloid acne patches on my inflamed, pustular, open, raided, or otherwise “active” pimples that have come to a head, and also on ones that are healing to protect further. i am more gentle with my skin (avoiding towels, makeup wipes, microbeads) because i use actives known to be irritating and drying. if your routine isn’t causing you problem, and you enjoy it, then you should enjoy it without feeling pressured by other people. skincare isn’t one size fits all, everyone’s skin and lifestyle is different. like, my skin doesnt respond to products as well when it’s soaking dripping wet, but i don’t have any face towels and i would have to clean a towel every day so the best i can do is stand there and shake out my hands 😂. as long as you are cleansing, moisturizing (night) and using an SPF on not totally dry skin, you’re fine. the obsessive skincare routines are typically best for people with severe acne (yours truly) who need to do a lot more than most people to best support skin cell turnover, moisture barrier, healing, hydration, and micro biome.

      2. A bad moisturizer will have less hydration than a good one. It can also have no SPF in it and sometimes even be one of those horrifying “exfoliating moisturizers” (yes, I’ve seen them) that are meant to exfoliate your face during the day but end up irritating and ruining it. For the G2 family line, I feel like the concept would’ve been cute if it was only about Clawdeen. Considering how it’s always mentioned that she has a lot of siblings, a werewolf sibling line wouldn’t have been so bad.

She deeply exfoliated, yes it's irritated. Being harsh with the skin on your face is never good, it's more sensitive that the rest of your body that can take stuff like that.

    My skincare routine from 2018-2022.

2022: Aveeno calm and restore gentle cleanser. Then CeraVe hydrating facial cleanser. The Ordinary Marine Hylarounic and a CLEAN Jade roller. Curology treatment made for me. Lastly CeraVe Moutrizer.

I can't believe i completely forgot about the exfoliating rotating brushes i was so obsessed with it and wanted to buy it so bad but it was so expensive and i could only get it online for an extra 30 to 40 bucks shipping and now im just so glad and relieved i never did especially with how sensitive my skin is tho i still kinda wish i did to use it for my body

I'm a bit of both. Mostly more gentle methods, I've been oil cleansing for over a decade, and I know moisturisers are my friends. But even with good practice my skin is very oily and active and my noise pores clog and oxidise regularly in a way that no amount of oil or benzoyl peroxide will remove (and all that moisturiser and oil production really attracts pollutants over the day!), so I still keep the Biore pore strips (but not those awful charcoal ones!) on hand to help reset things every so often.

Wow, you and I had a very similar skincare journey, I did everything you did before - I have super oily, acne prone skin, and now that I moisturize and use gentle products my oil production has balanced out and my remaining acne is mostly hormonal...
I think I had that exact same Clearasil cleanser, and I definitely had the cheap spinning brush, too!
I actually have 3 of them under my sink that I haven't touched in at least two years, haha.
They would probably be good for cleaning the shower, though - I should try that...

I have used perfume-free makeup wipes for about 14 years and a gentle perfume-free face wash too for about 7 years and I rarely get spots and my face looks and feels fresh. 💛
(I struggle to find products that don’t irritate my skin or I’m surprisingly allergic to in some way).

To everyone commenting "I don't even wash my face lol": It isn't a flex to be so low-maintenance that you don't take care of your skin health.
In 20 years, you all will regret never using sunscreen and washing your face with your shampoo. Good luck.

I dunno, I knew a kid in high school with great skin and he made us all sick when he told us he just used bar soap when he was in the shower and that's it. 10-15 years later he still had great skin. 🤷🏼‍♀️

      @@Kira_Martel 1.) Possibly genetics.
2.) Men age better than women due to how their collagen and elastin fibers lay in the dermis layer of their skin. They tug on the skin in a criss-cross fashion, making them wrinkle less noticeably and later on in life. Women? Our fibers lay straight up-and-down, creating a more noticeable trench/wrinkle in the skin. Since most of us are women, this man's skin *has nothing to do with this conversation* since you and most of us here are *women.*
3.) We won't know until everyone reaches age 50-60. THAT is when things start to get very noticeable for men and especially women.
4.) Still a VERY poor excuse to be proud of being grubby and unclean. *Not taking care of yourself is not something to brag about.* My point still stands tall.

LOOL! I was sooo 2012 in college years! Then I just learn to accept to take care of my face and understand it than buying overly priced expensive creams. I just need to get to know my skin. I have to see a dermatologist soon. I get tiny i grown lumps that urges me to pop it. Some oil help and some dont. This video really proved my point.

I use the spf lotion moisturizer like u did in 2012 lol, it made my skin 10x less agitated since im allergic to most moisturizers but I do use the fur oil as a replacement for moisturizers during the night since it works for me lol (as well as most toners, serums, and cleansers) if you guys also have that issue just use store brand skincare and cera ve! ✨ i wouldn't use any good molecules acne products if u have seriously sensitive skin like me, i used there acne cleanser and it literally rip not only my dead skin off but my actual skin because of how bad of a allergic reaction my face had..
