Wow almost a full week passed since the Gimvitational and no one has done anything about the Steve/Kazuya ban. It’s almost as if this topic wasn’t a big deal to begin with and just came and went like every other stupid fad this community sensationalizes!
While I don’t think that either of these characters should be banned Steve definitely does require most of the cast of characters to play an entire different game that no other character can replicate since the moment Steve places blocks down the opponent has to figure out a way to get by and stop steve from getting his materials and that is easier said then done due to Steve having really good frame data and combos while always putting the opponent in a disadvantage stage just by forcing them to approach
I wish at invitationals they just made everyone play every matchup possible, it’d take longer, but if you got the players there, I’d want to see Spargo vs light or acola

A CRUCIAL detail I noticed this weekend that adds even more hype to あcola's masterclass of Steve... Light's Losers run before Grand Finals included THE best showing anyone had against Steve all weekend, absolutely dismantling and bullying Yonni's Steve in a quick 3-0. i think the idea was that if he’s looking like #1 in Japan and then wins a stacked NA tournament then he could very well be in contention for best in the world
You need experience in order to become the best, so if you're not facing the best even in whatever country you're from, you won't stand a chance. Spargo wasn't at his S game, but he still made top 8 in a tournament of killers and sharks, the man did insanely well. I really hope he takes some good down time and gets the self-care and healing that he needs to come back in full force! ♥️
S game…. Just say A game lol
@@ManuelPersona24 tf does this even mean spargo hates aegis and barely played her all year
"It'll be interesting to see how spargo bounces back at his next event double down"... *cries in spargo's newly announced hiatus*
Steve should not be banned and Kazuya should not even be in the conversation of being banned lmao. Currently the Steve meta is improving faster than people can learn to counter him, but once this meta slows down a bit players will only get better at beating Steve. Kazuya isn't even top 5 in the game so idk why people are trying to ban him.
If Steve somehow gets banned it’s only because of his ability to build blocks and tech off of them
Because Kazuya cheats
It’s not about tier placement, it’s about Kazuya hitting you once and killing you for it
Don’t get hit then
@@ashervanmaanen3353 he’s just scary Luigi. His disadvantage isn’t that good.
Smash player are not ready for Herobrine
Yoshi and Banjo are the next characters to make a huge come up.
why the fuck didn't they talk about Akola's run?
Great event and great coverage of it!
Wow almost a full week passed since the Gimvitational and no one has done anything about the Steve/Kazuya ban. It’s almost as if this topic wasn’t a big deal to begin with and just came and went like every other stupid fad this community sensationalizes!
Riddles was absolutely on fire, his reads on sparg0 alone were insane and on top of that the 4th place curse is finally broken
🙏
I wish at invitationals they just made everyone play every matchup possible, it’d take longer, but if you got the players there, I’d want to see Spargo vs light or acola
Acola feels so invincible it's insane, even compared to other invincible players. When Light says he's going to do something he does it but Acola defied even that, that's probably the most shocking thing to me. Incredibly happy for him, as a Steve main I was cheering him and Yonni on the entire way.
I hope y’all keep up the great work!
Smash Twitter play the character before crying challenge impossible

It’s true that they are fun to watch, but oof they are kinda cheap and REALLY annoying to play aginst

I hope you guys cover the e-caribana invitational. So many things happened like sintro's upsets, sisqui's losers run, Quik's insane performance...
Despite this, あcola still looked fairly comfortable in GF, not letting Light snatch his bread from him like he did to Yonni.
Acola*
Grandfinals*
Write things so people can read them…. Also yeah Acola is incredible. He’s sincerely a threat to the top 3
So CRUCIAL
@@krusher181 Clearly you understood what DjRone said just fine. I was going to call you a pedant for complaining about the use of "GF," but since you're going to complain about "あcola" too, then you're actually *worse* than a pedant. It's *never* wrong to call a player by their proper tag. I don't fault people for typing "Acola" instead, since it's unreasonable to expect your average English speaker to use an IME or copy-paste the あ all the time, but I am totally going to call *you* out for having the *audacity* to complain that someone went through the extra effort to show respect to a player by typing out their correct tag.
this wouldnt happen if i was there
So you’re saying Chase would’ve won a set if you were there?? lol
Really great video my dude , hopefully you keep going 🥳
Don't pick up the Phone about Steve....
Because I fucking CALLED IT.
even if top players are joking about banning steve and kazuya the smash community is not amture enough to understand it as a whole. people legit want to ban these characters. this banning talk should be called out and put down.
It's honestly genius to do it like Tweek.
Main two total polar opposites and you'll have almost every single match-up covered.
1:27 "Should we make the jump into Hyperspeed" "No, let's go at Ludicrous Speed" *Gasps* "Are you sure sir?" "What's the matter colonel Sanders? Chicken?"
Light’s speech was fucking hilarious. That needs to go into a taunt to get bodied comp.
I love how basically everyone in the top 10 can be put in any position from 10th to 2nd in the pgr and there’s no true underdog in sets where two top 10 players face each other, except for mkleo obviously
Acola's worst placing so far has been 2nd place in any tournament. Safe to say he will be 2nd place minimum rather than 3rd-10th.
@@bakublader1999 i agree but rn he hasn’t gone to many events
0:44 VS. Stardream what a great music but why for this section?????lol
I know Stardream Soul OS is one of the most difficult enemy to beat but not a difficult as あcola I guess

Just earned a sub from me. Love these recaps as I don’t have time to watch everything anymore!

It’s just so conceptually hilarious to me that of all the characters for people to say is “broken”, it’s Minecraft Steve.
Steve is the very model of a modern major mix-up character

Wait Gackt isn't the same guy as the Fei Long player Gackt back in the SF4 days is he?
I'm sorry but "He took down one of the strongest players in the world and Cosmos" is so funny to me
I want to see way more acola in NA
Video on the other tournaments would be really sick, understandable if not possible tho
Every time I hear the best in the world, I'm a little skeptical because it's very clear that not everyone in the world goes to these major tournaments that primarily take place in North America.
i think the idea was that if he’s looking like #1 in Japan and then wins a stacked NA tournament then he could very well be in contention for best in the world
You need experience in order to become the best, so if you're not facing the best even in whatever country you're from, you won't stand a chance. And we DO know the best players in each country/continent, and those actually do come to North America whether they're Japanese, French, Brazilian or Australian. In other words: There are no unknown players that could pop up out of nowhere and be a top 10 in the world.
Finally 20MC is upon us
My jaw dropped when the video said that spargos never gotten 6th place or lower since 2020 which is a 2 year gap of being in the top 5 and kola the 7th best player put him in 7th at losers bracket.
How did you not talk about Riddles' INSANE shield break punish?

If 4 Bayo and Brawl MK didn't get banned, Steve definitely shouldn't. I don't think the problem with Steve is that he's OP. In my opinion, he's just extremely boring to watch.
We shouldnt make the same mistake we made in the past. MK and Bayo should have absolutely been banned in the past, Steve and maybe Kazuya should be now.
@@yankees2864 There's 0 argument for Kazuya to be banned. Riddles and Tea have been the only guys to make him look legitimately broken, and he hasn't even won them a major.
