Just wanted to say your inaccurate representation of the beef pasty was cruel and unfair. It being done by either robbie (editing) or yourself, it was not right. You clearly ate the corner of the pasty where the pastry is crimped and you described it as "all pasty". What did you expect? I didn't expect this from you at all, its clearly anti Barnsley propaganda. We can all see through your agenda and its obvious.
Glad you enjoyed my home town. It's a real gem that surprises a lot of people. The council have done a great job at redeveloping the area. Great video!
You guys should have tried going to the Retrodome. Its an old school retro arcade with a bar. They have pong, pool, playstations, air hockey, pinball and even a VR room. The staff are really nice lads and it's a great place to have a few beers and have a good laugh with friends or family. My favourite place in Barnsley by far!
Lived in Barnsley all my life. I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else now. Glad you enjoyed it here us Barnsley folk are so down to earth and welcoming. It’s nice to put Barnsley on the map for the good reasons
I can’t believe how surprised I was to see you in my home town! Glad you enjoyed here, it’s definitely nicer than it used to be in the town centre. I’ve missed my opportunity to buy you a pint!
Not long after the sculpture was installed a lad climbed it on a Saturday night, the police coaxed him down and he apologised saying, "sorry guys I've had loads of cocaine tonight".
Really nice seeing you walk round my home town. Barnsley has been on the up for years after a few rough decades. Great place to live although it can take people who aren't from round here a while to get used to how honest/blunt we can be with people! Cheers lads👌
Glad they were pleasantly surprised at Barnsley town centre. It's a lovely little town particularly now they have done all that work in the town centre. It's a pleasant place to shop. There is an interesting museum in the town hall, and a tiny gem of an art gallery just up the road from it, in fact opposite the churchyard where they went. There has been a market in Barnsley since at least 1249. There are several good cafes and the town centre is very easy to reach from both the train and bus station which are close to the market hall.
Barnsley looks remarkably charming to be fair. Wouldn't mind living there by the sounds of it! Live in a village currently, surrounded by beautiful scenery. But its difficult sometimes to get things to and from our property. I do miss the city life sometimes. Barnsley seems to have found a wonderful balance without sacrificing space, efficiency and it has shops not empty storefronts!? Most impressive. Not as impressive as the town hall though! Great grockling lads. I'm an old soul for eadly 30's, but this just feels wholesome and grounded. Needed that!
It has. A lot of people have your idea. We've had a massive influx of people in the past 10 years due to cheap property, lots of development and good motorway links. Public transport could be better. Some of the villages are ace but in danger of becoming too big at the cost of greenspace
Great video.. my husband was a miner. There is a great museum and mine experience at The Heritage Park, Porth, Rhondda if your looking to get into mining a little bit more. Our daughter was a strick baby, born 1984 👍👍
Just found this video from Barnes and myself, the piece of artwork/sign posts you found first I was involved in creating a few of the pieces, and on the Victoria Arcade, my godfather owns the Jollyboys tap, in Barnsley there’s also Britain’s ranked choir and the biggest organisation of its kind in the UK Barnsley Youth Choir
Brilliant video, and I loved your presentation style. Both fantastic. I've never heard of you, but following now. Thanks for being nice about my town. Who doesn't pick a burger up to eat it 😢
@@RobbieKnox Its free to go in but you have to pay a small fee to go down, its about two hour guided tour and its all run by volunteers who are old miners, I took my 5 year old and he loved it. Alfie would love it!
One thing you didn't have was a Barnsley Chop. I was hoping you would. As I understand it, it's an edible delight. I'm drooling. I'm drooling saliva on my hoodie.
I’m from the Wakefield area and there is a coal mining museum just on the outskirts of Wakefield and it is a brilliant experience and I highly recommend it
Pasties from Potters. Top quality butchers with top quality customer service... I wonder if they've seen this 😄 Yes, a shopping trip is as good as a trip to the seaside 😂
Pineapples is the swinger symbol. You can find pineapple decor on cruise ship cabin doors put up by passengers. Pineapple flags that some Americans hang, crazy huh?!
I was walking through town that day when I thought “why the hell are these two fellas using a GoPro in town…?” And then I said WAIT. I KNOW THAT GINGE!! Glad ya had a good time.
Never expected to see you at Barnsley! Most assume its a shithole but its had a lot of work done and is starting to look decent tbh, shame clubs still suck
not sure ed was the best guest to have for this video hes usually a lot more funny with his own video and editing style, for anyone new to ed id recommend his channel. but either way its great to see you two together
Thank you for having me Mr Knox, great day out!
I hope you're using your keyring.
Met you in barnsley last week near the town hall, great set of lads and willing to give you a couple of mins to have a chin wag. Keep it up lads
Ed and Robbie in the same video. The dogs bollox guys. Well done

I really liked it. Well done Barnsley council!
Except all the crackheads walking around and the accent
It's also my hometown too
You pretty nice. Who would have thunk it?
BAAAAARNSLEY!
Oh wow! the festival Legends themselves! we love Robbie dont we? ❤
My dream is to get the TPD gang to come to Barnsley Live. 28 venues, 200 bands, all free entry, all day, all pissed.
Baaaaaaaaaaaaarnsley.
@@barnsleymatbacked this so hard!
@@NevermindMatt I need to see Rob puking up behind Bramahs, Mary staggering round Arcade lost and Jake showering in the town hall fountains.

Tbh retro dome is expensive.
KES was filmed in Barnsley.
It’s based on the novel A Kestrel for a Knave by author Barry Hines, who is also from Barnsley
You are better at summarising than Ed.

What a heartwarming tale.
Nice to see this national hidden gem spending time with Robbie in Barnsley
Glad you enjoyed our wonderful town
It was great!
You visited my hometown! Can't believe it i listen to happy hour all the time! Glad you enjoyed it.

ive lived all my life in sheffield, gone downhill quiet fast, icome to barnsley quiet a lot, the pubs in centre are better than any in south yorks.
Robbie coming thru with the jungle music transition early doors 🔥

@@joshuamurphy1406Especially Percy turners pork pies 😋
Barnsley is much nicer than I expected, very city like for a town. Although as a Cornishman it gets marked down for that "pasty"
Fun fact, Nicky Eaden once had a short stint as manager of my local side Nuneaton Borough. You're welcome.
Never would of thought from listening to you for many years on Happy hour to you visiting my home town
Big Ed fan and just discovered your channel great content.
Aw, thanks! You’re very kind.
Robbie Knox + parkour gym? That's my dinner time spent VERY entertained! thanks robbie!
Don't forget to eat your peas.
What a crossover, 2 British TH-cam legends
If you go again try to get to the Retrodome arcade. Really fun. Pay about £10 to get in and then all the old arcade machines are free to play.

Wow, a burger without a brioche bun!! Not many of those in the wild

ah the rusty nit comb sculpture, most people here hate it. It's been there much longer than a year unfortunately.
Amazed at how little Ed knew about Barnsley, considering how close it is to Leeds 😂
Literally half an hour on the train. Worth a visit every now and then. Market Kitchen a bit like a small Trinity Kitchen
Of course Ed goes for pasties 🤣🤣 love seeing more of mr chapman!! Also Barnsley didn't look to bad 😁
