How to Build a 1x1 Domino Tower (ft. The Skorys)

- In this domino tutorial, I teach The Skorys (Cole, Eden, Gabriella, and Tylor) how to build a 1x1 domino tower that is triggered by a simple domino line. It's an easy domino trick that you can add to your setups, but it does require a bit of precision. Subscribe to The Skorys! / theskorys

The dominoes should be as close as they can to the edge of the domino underneath without them hanging off. Everything should be square and even. The most difficult part is angling the first domino of the tower - you need to angle it enough that a domino line will still topple the tower, but not TOO much that the tower falls over early. It can be tricky at first, so I recommend doing a few tests ahead of time to see what works for you in your building conditions. The taller you build the tower, the more difficult it will be to angle that first domino and trigger it with a domino line, so if you are building taller than around 14 layers, I recommend using a small to large set to knock it down instead.

well that might work but most of the time very tall towers are cannot handle much horizontal force without the base breaking and rest of it crumbling straight down Not horizontaly
my method is to create a platform that can lean just 90 degree Not less Not more that's just big enough for the tower to fit on with a weak support on the side were it will collapse then build the tower just slightly moved to the support or add some weight at the top at that spot just enough to cause a collapse when the support is removed but not enough to make the support hard to remove from all that weight than add a domino track and you can add big dominoes just in case the structure is too heavy But only to the trigger/suppoer not the tower its self and it's done you can just start the chain reaction and then that tower Will topple horizontaly
one Very good thing is this will worh on any tower that can fit on your platform just keep in mind that massive towers require the platform to be extra rezistant against horizontal movement
this is a technique made by me
it's just not on the video because I wasn't recording the tests except for one and I have nothing to put it with I think I will make a video about it when I have some content

I dont think that would work because it would collapse a piece near the bace and the rest of it would fall straight down Not horizontaly how I want
my method is to make a prettymuch perfectly ballancing platform that can lean 90 degree not more not less but cannot move back with a horizontaly weak support at the front than building the tower on that But having the center of ballance slightly closer to the support that just add a domino line with maby some bigger dominoes whitch aren't close enough to hit the tower but are enough to increse the force on the dominoes infront of it to break the weaker support and it's done
now you can just trigger the line and watch the tower fall directly on it's side
this is a trick made by me so please give a shoutout to the inventor when it's used
